SLA

Our 4th marking period benchmark was to produce a trifold. Our board was put in our first science fair. My topic was plant growth. My hypothesis was that a plant qith 80% soil, and 20% fertiilizer would grow faster than a plant with either alone. 

Science Fair Project

    For our second benchmark in Bio/chemistry we were given the freedom to do an approved science project of our choice. The following subjects were the bases of our project: purpose, hypothesis, procedure, materials, data, results, conclusion, and reflection.

On April 24, twenty-five SLA students attended “Meet the Scientists” at the Franklin Institute. At the event, five scientists from the top of their fields spoke at a panel discussion. Schools from all over Philadelphia came to meet the scientists and ask questions. Included on the panel were:

we were put into groups of i think five. we got a time period that we had to explain. we had to explain world history, disease, architecture, and a few other things that i cant remember. the topic that i had was world history.

    We had to write a essay and teach a class on how science and history interact.  I had to connect world events and science. I connected world events and history in 1400-1600. I did this with an informative handout and an essay.  Essay... Handout...
