Dear President Barack Obama,
I am very glad to see someone such as yourself come into the White house, especially in these troubled times. Just to get things straight, the fact that you are of African American origin is not a factor as to why I believe you are our country’s best choice right now. It is your policies and strategies that I believe will help get America back on its feet. On another note, I read the email Ralph Nader sent you attempting to expose your so-called cowardice. This has not shaken my view of you at all and only strikes me as a desperate cry from a dirty politician to start drama over a victorious candidate. But alas, let’s move on to why I am writing this letter.
To start off, there are many concerns Held by myself as well as others in the nation regarding our current situation and where we could be in 4 to 8 more years under your leadership. First, I would like to have your bailout package for us explained a little more, seeing as how you plan to help restore America’s finance to some degree with it. Not to accuse you of being unreliable, but I would feel safer knowing more about how the plan works and exactly what it would do to save our economy. Next, college and achieving the funding for it is a great concern for my family and I, so we would like to know what system and/or plan you can or already have set up to aid us in our struggle for higher-level education. Not only that, I personally want to know how you will help our people achieve better, more efficient education in our earlier years and whether or not you think your method will be enough. Third, the Iraq War has plagued us for many years at this point, and I really wish it wouldn’t be on our list of problems right now with out limping economy, clean energy/fuel issues, and taxes. How do you plan to safely, effectively, and quickly bring this war to an end and bring our good soldier back to their worrying families? With answers to these questions, I would feel much more positive and secure about the future of our nation.
For what your leadership can potentially bring us, president Obama, I have very high hopes. My hopes include being able to afford college with less difficulty, finding a reasonable, well paying job to sustain my life’s necessities, having to pay lower taxes in my adulthood, and having a cleaner, more energy-efficient environment. I pray that these will not be extreme issues when I am older.
It is unconditional and non-negotiable that you have your work cut out for you as America’s 44th president. Our country is in some of its worst shape since the Great Depression, and we need a skilled, prepared, competent leader to guide us to a brighter future. I have some goals that you may want to set if you hope to see us with our current condition behind us in 4 years. One, be sure to help out not just the middle class, but the poor and/or lower class as well. Everyone is in need, so they require equal help. Two, lead us towards becoming much more independent, so we will no longer worry too much about how in debt to foreign lands we are and who we need to borrow from next. Three, end this unnecessary conflict between Iraq and our own militia, and at least make an attempt to resolve it peacefully. However, try not to make the situation seem as though we are cowering away from Iraq, to eliminate verbal abuse and accusations from the media and/or the public. I would very much like to hear that we won the war with a final battle of words and compromise, rather than bullets.
Mr. Obama, I hope you will consider greatly what I have said to you and remember that our country is in dire need of a good leader. You are that person in my eyes, and I believe wholeheartedly that under your leadership, America will rise from our current misfortunes and prosper. You just have to show everyone else and prove it.
Sincerely,
Narayan El
