Spanish Benchmark (First Quarter) by Dylan Lonergan

Our first benchmark in Mr. Bey’s Spanish class required us to create a brochure (or booklet, which was seldom done) that showed what we learned in Spanish class so far. It had to be entirely in Spanish, and also required visuals so it could be understood. The effectiveness of the brochures was apparently tested later by showing them to people who do not understand Spanish.
I had decided to come up with something extremely unique for this benchmark. I had decided to use a booklet, since it would better suit the style of my project. Each page was essentially a one-panel comic, and contained a character reminiscent of the 16-bit era of video games displaying the meaning of the message on that page. One of my favorite pages, which is attached at the end of this post, displayed an image of the character and his umbrella being blown away by a gust of wind.
I am very satisfied with the booklet I have created, and am very pleased with the direction I took, using a comic-like style, which was very unique among the class. I feel that I did the best job that I could on the booklet. I put a lot of time and effort into completing the booklet to the best of my ability, and my grade reflects that.
(Please note that the attachment is actually the full, original image- when it went into the booklet, it had to be downsized and the objects moved closer together.)
