Placement Process - ILP Expo:

The ILP Expo is the beginning of the placement process each year. A large fair is hosted at SLA for all of the ILP hosts where the students can familiarize themselves with the opportunities available for the next school year. All ILP hosts are invited to attend. Tables are set up so that the students can ask questions about the organization, the ILP, and other students' experiences. The ILP Expo usually lasts between one and two hours and is held on the last Wednesday in April. Student attendance to their ILP on this Wednesday is decided between hosts and students, as the hosts may be attending the ILP Expo to promote their organization. Students may even run their organization's table if the supervisor cannot attend.

Interest Forms:

After students become acquainted with the organizations that offer ILPs, they fill out an ILP interest form. This form allows students to choose three ILPs that interest them as well as state their initial goals. This is the most important part of the placement process. The ILP Coordinator uses these choices throughout the placement process in order to match students and organizations.
