Personal Letter:
Dear Louise Bishop,
I am contacting you in regards of representing the “next of kin” rights. I feel that the “next of kin” law that currently withstands, should be updated and highly reconsidered. The “next of kin” law should be altered so that it grants the “next of kin” rights to an opinion on what will happen to  the deceased person, and shared custody of other remaining items. I don’t think that it is fair, that marriage is chosen over fair blood.I am aware that part of the reason this law was composed was because in the past, spouses have been left with no compensation or property from the remaining spouse. Before my school year as a senior started,I sat by my best friend’s father bed side as he passed away from many diseases. Day after day,we witnessed her father suffer and after he passed, his wife, who was not in favor of us,set up for someone come and have his body cremated an hour after he passed. The daughter and other family members of the deceased person did not concur. If it wasn’t for us reaching out to the wife, the family would have been devastated. So instead of requesting that full responsibility be given to the “next of kin”, I think its fair that shared custody is appropriate,(assuming that the “next of kin” is the appropriate age at the time of death). I do understand that if their is no remaining spouse the “next of kin” will then receive what is left but I don’t think this is respectable. I hope that I have convinced you so that you support my position and help me contact and reach out to other people with higher authority.
Thank you.
Dear Wolf & Baldwin Associates,
I would first like to start off by saying that I really appreciate the fact that regarding the “next of kin” rights, you all agree that some property and money be granted to the “next of kin”. I am contacting you in regards of this topic because I believe that if the “next of kin” is at the appropriate age at the time of death then they should have equal decision on what happens to the deceased loved one. I don’t think it is fair that the remaining spouse is given all the remaining items and full responsibility over the deceased loved one when their may be other people in the family who may disagree. I also believe that all merchandise and money that is left should be spilt equally because the remaining spouse is NO more or less important than the remaining children(in this case). I know that you will jump on board this in helping me represent those who would like to see the current “next of kin” law changed.
Thank you
Petition:
Objective: To use a petition represent the number of people who support a change in the next of kin” law which states that “next of kin” receives a portion of the remaining funds of the deceased person. Also, that they do not have custody over what happens to the corpse(being at the appropriate age)
Opening statement for Petition: With this petition I hope that you will support me with changing the “next of kin” law so that the “next of kin” will share custody with the remaining spouse{if their is one} or be given all the property and funds if their is no remaining spouse. With the desired amount of people,I hope to get the signatures that I need to strengthen my position in this situation.
