I think the decision to make the handbook a darker color fits well with the book you've chosen to emulate. The storyline jumps from idea to idea and narration is prevalent in the story. They may seem simple, but the writing actually feels as though you've emulated your author. I like the little food cart that you added.

All of your elements were great in your story! I loved the tone of your narrator and I could see clearly how you emulated the author of your book. You took a simple situation and made it into a really great and complex story. Your design was really good. I liked your font and background choices.
