Darius' Reader Profile
The Crucible, as personified by Darius, is “a weird old man hyped up on shrooms.” The book talks about a town of people on a type of drug that causes them to hallucinate and see people as the devil, and witches, so I think the description fits.
He’d say the book would taste bittersweet, saying the towns people stayed true to themselves, and yet still ended up harmed in the end. “They get to die themselves, at least.”
Away from the book, I learned his ‘reading happy place’ is the bathroom, where there are no interruptions, and his reading weak spot is fiction-ish books that guarantee drama.
