Empty Landmarks

I created this because I've lived in a city all my life, so It would always be common to see people around outside walking, driving, or something similar. So it was odd when there were not as much going on around outside. I noticed all the images that were being shared online of all the empty places that would normally be crowded, and it felt like it represented the feeling of 2020. It felt like everything was not ok, yet normal at the same time. I decided to take images off the internet, and put them together to make my submission.

This was a really cool idea! It's super interesting how all of these meaningful places are completely empty - I hadn't thought of what an impact Covid would have on them.

Woah this is really awesome! Being in Philly during lockdown was so weird because it was silent and not nearly as busy as before. It's so cool to see what it was like everywhere else.
