This was funny, and well thought out. It was a captivating story that I enjoyed watching. I also likes how you thank Mr. Kolouch. The system addressed is the system of popularity, and what being popular entails. This Benchmark pushed my thinking as to a prototypical jock choosing a nerd and larping over his girlfriend and popularity.
Ummm that Kolouch credit though. I hope that at SLA you don't have the same experience Mason had and can be yourself inside, and outside of school. Cause we all know you larp.
The systems of social class in high school by distinguishing the "popular people" and how they are vs. the "nerds."
No, this didn't push our thinking of the social class in high school by distinguishing the "popular people" and how they are vs. the "nerds", because this was kind of stereotypical. There are a lot of movies and TV shows that show the popular kid helping the non popular kid. Even though it didn't push our thinking it was still fin to watch.

I would concur that the system of popularity was addressed by showing that being popular and doing things like LARPing can't mix. Sometimes you sacrifice the things you love for popularity, and that can be a very unfortunate thing. I would not say that it pushed my thinking because this is something I was already very aware of, but I enjoyed it as a new and creative way of presenting this system.
