Lucien Hearn Capstone

Every day each of us constantly overestimate how much we know and understand about the world. Through no fault of our own, there exists a limitless amount of information and experiences outside our own. There are many different ways to go about finding these experiences and learning from them, but often they will either fall on deaf ears or will be out of reach of most people. With my capstone, I aimed to not only educate myself on the topic of heroin addiction in Kensington, but to bring that knowledge to others in a way that was easy to digest. After searching for resources, I found a website titled “Kensington Blues” with multiple interviews of heroin addicts and homeless in the Kensington area. I took notes on each of the interviews, and based my lyrics around their stories.
