Negative Space Cut out

The negative space seen in this picture is the lighter color. Often times negative space is the space that is not relevant in a picture, or the background which helps the imagery stand out. In this picture above the darker color is the positive space. The definition of negative space is the space around and between the subject of an image. The subject of my image was the pink, and the negative space was orange. It often helps an artist if they are able to see negative space, because they are then able to create a subject that will be more visible/relevant. Seeing in negative space can definitely enhance your drawings, because it is another tool you can use when designing it. Using negative space helps the artist to gain more focus on the subject of the image.
