Podcast: In the Streets Hosts: Nickell Ceasar, Randy Le, Matthew Nguyen, Bella Walls, Tyshon Wooden Episode 1: Post Apocalypse In the first episode of our podcast known as “In The Streets'' we talked about the literal and figurative symbols in Cormac Mcarthy’s 2007 Pulitzer Prize winning story, “The Road''. The first topic that was brought up was the theme of death and how the two characters the boy and his father, are constantly surrounded by it and death can even be seen as an escape for the two. Moral highgrounds and the idea of “Good vs. Bad” was also discussed in the podcast. The structure of the story and if the characters are even making progress while walking on the seemingly endless road also makes up a good amount of the discussion.
