Shawn Golden's Capstone

For my capstone, I wanted to use my resources to inform youth on real estate. The real estate market is one of the best places to earn income and something everyone should know about when they purchase a property. As we’re all growing up and continuing our paths it’s inevitable that soon we’ll be buying properties whether it's in 3 years or even 5 years. Some kids who are 18 even go out and decide to buy property! Some people think that buying a house is as simple as finding a real estate agent and then touring houses but it’s a lot more paperwork and people involved than meets the eye, which is what my capstone highlights. My capstone consists of an overview slide show that highlights all the steps of the process so you can be introduced to it and an actual Instagram page with all the information I learned about this process. My leading question throughout this was how can I inform my audience in an engaging way that they’ll be able to look back on? I believed an Instagram page would be the best way to display this information because people go to social media all the time for tips about things and since my target audience is a younger crowd I knew it would’ve been the best way to display that information.
