SLA Cross Country Runners Qualify for PIAA State Championships
Congratulations to Matt Ferry and Sarena Shuman for qualifying to compete at the PIAA Cross Country State Championships! At the District XII Championship meet last week, Matt finished 20th in the Boys AA race rounding out the last spot for state qualifiers and Sarena finished 12th in the Girls AA race. Best of luck to both athletes as they compete this Saturday, November 6th, at Hershey State Park.
Another congratulations to Matt Ferry for setting a new school record in the boys 5k with a time of 19:32. The original record was set by Will MacFarlane (pictured with Matt) during the 2008 season with a time of 20:47.
