Solar Society Project- Capstone
For my capstone project, I have made a Solar powered phone charger. The circuit uses 2 battery packs with four AA batteries each, two USB ports, and a six-volt solar panel. It has the ability to charge two phones. The case for this circuit is still in progress, and there are some modifications to be made. The goal is to get this station finished and give it to Chosen 300 Ministries to help the people they serve to have fully charged phones. This has been made difficult during the pandemic with fewer opportunities to be inside any building. With the physical project, I also have a website that has the mission statement, the current CAD design, and the schematic drawing. The website’s goal is to make this station accessible for anyone to learn to make by downloading details and utilizing 3D printing capabilities. This is just the start of what I want this project to be but I am proud of what I achieved this year on my capstone.
