In episode II of,” The Brief Wondrous Podcast”, we discussed the literary lens of feminism towards,” The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Waos” by Junot Diaz. We compared and contrasted our society, to how the characters in the novel discusses about the presence of women, and how they view women as objects rather than humans.

We have also met a new character! In this podcast we will also be discussing about the new introduced character, Yunior who is Oscar’s roommate at Rutgers University.

The recap at the beginning of the podcast was a very smart idea and fills in viewers. I liked the overarching ideas presented with the feminist lens. I noticed a lot of the ideas of women being treated as objects in this book can be even applied to today's standards as well.

I liked how well the conversation flowed between the group. Nobody was interrupting and you all got your ideas out in full. I was also a fan of the music in the background, the audio was very nice to listen to.

The music in the back I nice, I enjoyed how y'all explicitly said the characters motives and why you felt like they were doing one certain thing. You also had different views like the one that was not so much feminism.

I appreciate how everyone provided the conversation smoothly and evenly. It seems like this book is perfect for the use of the feminist lens. Also, how the term “bitch” is used to degrade women. You all broke it down and how people still use that term today. And how you talk about the domination of men taking over women and using other terms to take control over them.

I like the fact that you gave us a recap, it really helps to bring the listeners. I think that your connection to the feminist lens was great. The questions that you asked kept the conversation going.
