Q2 Notebook Video

In the first quarter, I had a goal of establishing a good base for my notes. This meant I would use the outline method and my notes would be clean. It was in quarter two I built upon that. In my video, you will see I attempted within my notes to create an organizational system, tried to use more symbols, wrote more unprompted notes, and explained my reactions within annotations. While some goals were more successful than others, my overall growth as a notetaker in quarter two is the most impressive. Click here to watch!

English Notebook Project Q1

In the beginning I thought my notes were superb. As you will see though throught the quarter in my notes I developed so many note making tools and my notes imporved so much. This helped me when reviewing my notes for important projects and remembering my annotations for test on our novel Far From the Tree. While my notes have grown they still have room for improvement. In the future I wish to get better at using symbols in my notes along with color to make certain ideas pop. This will help my notes become more readable and orgainized. The Cake

  My story, "The Cake", depicts the struggles of a family that trying to celebrate their daughter Olivia's graduation. This story is inspired by Robert Benway's "Far From the Tree" which also portrays the difficulties of a family. Benway's use of writing techniques such as motifs and dramatic irony can be seen throughout my writing. I hope you enjoy!
