Creative Project
Reflection
♣A clear explanation of what your
creative piece is about, what it represents, and how you attempted to get the
point across.
My
creative I chose to do a poem because it was a form of art that I felt most
confortable doing and presenting. After reading the scarlet letter watching the
Juno, it seem that the characters acted/felt one-way and said something
different. The poems were basically the inner thoughts that were not said in
the movie and/or text. I didn’t try to disguise it I just said it plain and
simple.
♣How you went about crafting your
piece. What was your process like? Did you encounter any problems/issues as you
went along?
In
class we talk a lot about what characters dialogue. We specifically examined
what they said with their mouths vs. what they said with their body language.
We noticed that what they said didn’t always match up with what they felt
and/or thought. So with that, I kept each main character from Juno and the
scarlet letter came up with a theme for their feelings/thought. Then I linked two
from each that hand similar themes. For example, the theme I came up with for bleaker
was about concealed emotions. Then I went about coming up with the poems
because I already knew what I want to write. I just put it all in a powerpoint. The pictures chosen behind the text were silhouette because you can see them but not their entire identity just like in the character's thoughts.
♣What are the aspects of the
project you believe you did well?
I
believe I the part of the project I did well was the preparation and
application. I believe it was because we were told about the project before
hand and shown examples of other projects. I just knew what I wanted to talk because
it was a topic that stayed in the classroom for a while. When were told we were
doing a creative project, I thought poetry. My project just took off from there.
♣What aspects of the project do
you feel you could have done better?
I feel as if the creativity level should have been way
higher. Compared to other people’s ideas I don't feel like my Project was that
creative. On the other hand I also do not
believe I could have shown much more creativity in my poems. I knew what I
wanted and when I was finished I thought about what everyone else said they
were doing and I felt as if my project wasn’t up to par.
♣If you could do it all over
again, what would you do differently?
If I had another chance or more time, I would not have did
something completely different but I would have added something to it. I would
have tried to make a sculpture or did a drawling representing the theme of each
poem and/or person.
