In this unit we will investigate how human rights are violated during times of conflict, but MORE IMPORTANTLY, what people do to defend and protect them.

Refer to the Artículos de la Declaración Universal de los Derechos Humanos.

Name a conflict (present day or in the past - like the Holocaust, Darfur, MOVE, Rwanda, the civil war, World War I, II etc).

Name two to three human rights that were violated during the conflict. Name two to three human rights that are defended or protected.
