Hillary's art element project

Element:Potassium Atomic number: 19 For my art project, I had gotten the element of potassium, potassium wasn’t discoverd until the 18th centery by Sir Humphry Davy when he realized that Potassium hydroxide could be isolated into two diffrent elements. Potassium is an importnat factor for our body because it helps us contain a consistent blood pressure, helping our heart beat and with our muscle movement. At the start I remember Ms. Hull saying to draw something unique and well at first I had 3 ideas in mind avacados, tomatoes or a banana. The banana stood the most out to me and the one I thought I could play with the the imagry the most. During the process of of drawing this element I encounterd myself with problems like the banana would be too big and there wouldn’t be space for the element nor the atomic number and as well like there wouldn’t be any texture in the banana so the image wouldn’t be so bland. If I where to do this art project over again I think that maybe I would change the way I drew the banana and perhaps do more than one banana. Honastly I really enjoyed this project unlike many people I know that found it boring, I thought that it was unique becuase i’ve never explored with paint like that and it was something diffrerent and although its kind of hard, you just need practice. My favorite part of doing this project was doing the printing onto the paper, tracing and than transfering it onto the paper.
