I Am From...
From an area of a lot of trees
From the smells of nature undisturbed
From a house with a television, a stove
And a computer
From my mom, my stepfather
And my fish
From dinner that I eat
And movies that I watch
I’m from respect, love
And caring
From learning and success
From happy and sad
At times
From the thought that humans are destroying the world
From the foods pizza, shrimp
And hamburgers
From Sprite, lemonade,
And Mountain Dew, only blue
From the memories of going to the zoo
And the scary first day of school
From a climate of warmth
And cold for a while
From a place where everyone stays in their home
With no interaction
I’m from a place where I sleep and eat
Not Heaven, but
This is where I’m from
