Where I'm From Matt Ferry

I’m not from a place out of the ordinary,
I’m from the place many of us come from,
and all of us live in.
I’m from Philadelphia.

I like to create things,
like art, ideas and inspiration.
I’m not artist or philosopher,
or someone that can come close to the words “amazing” or “perfect.”
I’m average at most things, it’s fair to say,
But I still like to do my best everyday.
I’ve put in blood, ideas, pain, and re-inviting
to get to where I am today
and I’ve still got quite a way to go
to where I finally want to be.

I enjoy the simple things,
that aren’t money or bickering.
I’d rather be outside,
than in a house,
an office,
a store.
I like to hike,
and bike
and run.

I’m competitive,
and I don’t know when to quit.
I like to say what I think,
without hesitation.
I’m a bit stupid,
and can sometimes be a bit of a dick.
They sometimes say the strongest of us are a sensitive,
which I am.
Sensitivity is a major part of me,
but isn’t one that I usually do express.
I’ve got a small group of friends,
who know this part of me.
They know everything there is to know,
from my flaws, to my strengths,
to even my greatest weaknesses and fears.
My friends are one of the most important things to me.
