Why I write

Writing is my passion
I love the frenzy of a flash of words 
igniting a page in a fire of feelings
blank paper with arms outstretched 
welcome me
to tickle its spine with lines of my poetry
I am enchanted by dancing pencils and pens 
that unleash thunderous words
that snap crackle and pop
on eyes once read

Its more than a hobby
its a passion that I hold close and dear to my heart
and I believe with this gift
I can change the world 
All I have to do is perfect my art

So I'll just take it one day at a time
slowly release my restrictions, inhibitions and doubts that cloud my mind
as I write to promote growth 
find my writer's voice and let it show
