Q2 Notebook
In the 2nd Quarter, I feel like my notebook has become an even more helpful tool in English. I feel like a lot of what we’ve done this quarter is reflecting, as well as learning and becoming more aware of identity and the influence of language and race. Because of this, I feel like my notebook has not only become a place where discussion notes and reflections happen, but often now where I store information and resources of how to use Trevor Noah’s unique techniques of writing, as well as notes on examples surrounding race. In the future, I plan to keep this merge alive and continue to have my notebook even more diverse than it has been in the past few months.
Notebook Flip-through
Throughout Q1, I feel like my notes really dug deeper into our unit at the time. I feel like having required annotations and discussion notes brought up so many more ideas and opinions for me. I’ve never had my notes this rich in English- and I think although this challenged me to pick apart the text, I now feel so much more confident in my ability to analyze text!
For Real This Time
My story follows a young boy, Flynn, learning to fall in love again after he tragically lost his sister when he was small. But what happens when he doesn’t know that she’s been watching him all along? This story shows the heartbreak of a passed person watching someone let them go.
