My Q2 benchmark shape that I’ve chosen to do was a christmas tree due to the timing of this project. In my project, it shows the christmas tree in many forms plus the explanation of the many different types of lines used in my shape. Hope you enjoy it!

I believe this quarter my notebook has helped me a lot by keeping all my notes organized and at a place where I can easily access them. This upcoming quarter however I would like to write down more into my notebook as the little as I’ve written has helped me a lot with work and understanding. This has been one pretty new and tough quarter as a new high schooler. Everything is new about high school compared to middle school, and that also includes the way I use my notebook. The new way I used my notebook though this quarter was very helpful to me in some ways. In middle school, I never needed to write down everything we are learning. However, this quarter in high school I have never wrote so much in my notebook, even including group discussions that I never knew needed to be written down, but I am so grateful I did because with the help of writing things down in my notebook, it helped me with my understanding of the book and lessons we were learning and understanding the book “Far from the Tree.” Since I am still so new to using my notebook a lot more, I will keep writing things down that I might not think is important, but I might need it someday for a quiz or just to understand a lesson more. Also in middle school, my notes were very basic and now that I know the different ways I could make my notebook more creative, I will use those tools more often. My benchmark is about two girls that want to become actresses together, but when that happens when they star in their new film together, some unfairness comes in and separates them apart. They eventually come back together and get justice for each other and film more movies together. This whole plot will also include slope equations with y-intercept plus tables and graphs to show my equation in different ways.

This is my first project in English and also my first multi-narrative writing piece ever! The piece I created is about a 32 year old woman named Jasmine who gave birth to her 16 year old daughter Hope at age 16. She was too young to have a baby, so she gave her up. How my story is inspired by Robin Benway’s “Far From The Tree” is I have made a more advanced version of Grace and Milly, the same backstories but 16 many years later. I hope you enjoy my piece!
