"Connect Program." Portland Rescue Mission. August 23, 2017. Accessed January 25, 2019. https://www.portlandrescuemission.org/homeless-services/connect/.
This is a website that I have found while researching about my capstone. This website gives me information about homelessness and how people can connect to other programs and organization so they can go get the help they need for whatever it that they need. One thing about this website is that they have requirements that they need to have in order to be in these programs. This website also helps how with getting involved so people can help really do something for the people. This website gives me information where in my website or slides that I can put for the people if someone needs it.
Feldman, Nina. "Expanded Hub of Hope Homeless Center Opening under Suburban Station." WHYY. January 31, 2018. Accessed January 25, 2019. https://whyy.org/articles/expanded-hub-hope-homeless-center-opening-suburban-station/.
This website has an article about the expanding of the project/hub of the home. The new homeless center is located in the suburban station. It’s a center that doesn't have a place to sleep over but it gives you coffee and let the people shower and give clothes so they can stay warm. This article really lets me get to know what this center is for and why it's built there. I think I really liked about the article is that it quoted people and their opinion ..“Instead of building fences and criminalizing homelessness, SEPTA and the city decided to repurpose a space to serve the men and women that are homeless,” within the information that I got I think this website is credible because it quotes people and it’s WHYY website which is one of the biggest kids channels so I think this would be credible. I will use this information to use it on the process paper.
"Homeless Shelter Directory." Kansas City Homeless Shelters and Services - Kansas City MO Homeless Shelters. Accessed January 25, 2019. https://www.homelessshelterdirectory.org/cgi-bin/id/city.cgi?city=philadelphia&state=PA.
This website is mostly for my website and the section where I’m going to put information where people can go and use the information if they need for anything or any unfortunate events that may happen or if someone is going through something you can recommend it. And this source is credible because it even link to any website or phone number and any address that they got the source from. One thing that I really like about this website is that if someone is in a unfortunate situation they can just go to this website and it will give all the information that you need and the requirement that you need to be in that program, which is really helpful.
Hoover, Sara. "New Homes for Those Struggling with Addiction to Open in Heart of Philly Opioid Crisis." WHYY. January 16, 2019. Accessed January 25, 2019. https://whyy.org/articles/new-homes-for-those-struggling-with-addiction-to-open-in-heart-of-philly-opioid-crisis/.
This website is also another article of the project home itself and not specifically about the suburban station but it's an overview of the whole project home and what they do and how they help the people with anything for example like the opioid crisis. It also talks about Kensington which is the biggest place that ha drug addicts, and as the people said the "needle park" because there are so many needles there lying around that has been used. It will help me with the process paper that I will be writing and really explain why I choose to work with them. I got a lot of information from this article, It quotes the phrases and says what the people think of their new idea. It’s also from WHYY is I would think it’s credible.
Michael Gainer@projecthome.org. "Homeless Memorial Day." Project HOME. December 19, 2018. Accessed January 25, 2019. https://projecthome.org/memorial.
This is another article that I plan to use for my proposal paper.. It give a lot of information about the homeless memorial that they have for the homeless people. The thing about project home is they are all over philadelphia so they have different event all the time for the people in need. This website really gives the information about the different event and where they have it and the important people that are going to come there and how other people can contribute and support their event for the people in need. This source is credible because it's the website of the organization that I’m working with so I know all the information that I use will be correct.
"StoryCorps: On Giving Back after 25 Years Homeless : Speakeasy." WHYY. November 24, 2016. Accessed January 25, 2019. https://whyy.org/articles/storycorps-on-giving-back-after-25-years-homeless/.
This is another article from WHYY about a man who was homeless for 25 years and he never went to middle school or high school so he didn't know how to read or write so he didn't know anything about any organization that helps the people in need. This website is basically an interview written and the person who has interviewed is a person who went to Science leadership academy and he was one of the people who a did a lot for the people and did protest all the time. He is a well respected person in our school so it’s my pleasure to have him has a primary source. The amount of information that I got from this I would say it’s credible and it’s quoted and I would definitely use this information for my process paper at the end.
Superadmin. "Housing." Project HOME. February 28, 2018. Accessed January 25, 2019. https://projecthome.org/our-work/housing.
This is a website that is from the project home themselves. It's a website that Helps people find housing and and programs that gives them a place to stay and have something that they can call home. I think it's a great website that helps people find a home. They have built over 802 units that they have built all over philadelphia And they have more coming that they are going to built. Their goal is to built 1000 units all over philadelphia. While reading this article I have found that how much this article can help someone. In my final presentation I will create a slide or a tab in the website where if someone need to they can go to this website and they will help someone if they need it which will be really helpful.
US Census Bureau. "Library." Census Bureau QuickFacts. September 12, 2018. Accessed January 25, 2019. https://www.census.gov/library/publications/2018/demo/p60-263.html.
This is a website that helps me figure out the facts about poverty. I want to put statistics in my presentation of how much our country lack of helping the people in need. The information that I provided in the website makes my presentation more exciting and helpful to people so they can see how much we are lacking. Within every penny that they give it will go somewhere and it will help someone. I will use this website to help me with statistics so the process paper itself can standout. I think this website is credible because it’s a government website and it credits its sources.
"Homeless Shelter Directory." Kansas City Homeless Shelters and Services - Kansas City MO Homeless Shelters. Accessed January 25, 2019. https://www.homelessshelterdirectory.org/cgi-bin/id/city.cgi?city=philadelphia&state=PA.

Sheila. "Pennies of Time." Pennies Of Time: Compassionate Problem Solvers. April 10, 2013. Accessed January 25, 2019. https://penniesoftime.com/act-of-kindness-care-kit-for-the-homeless/.
This is a website where it show the most important things that shelters need for making a homeless kit that the people need. Like on the website one thing that I saw was that water bottles, and hygiene products is one of the most essential thing that they can use and in need of donations there. It’s also a website where people can donate money for acts of kindness and it gives you tips on what’s a good essential kit would be, Which in my case is very helpful because i’m making hygiene kits for the homeless people. I think it’s credible because it’s someone's project that they have did once and it’s still out there for people to see and now i’m doing a project similar to them and it really makes me think about what how my project will be preceded in the future? Will someone see what I did just like how i’m looking at someone else's?
Winerman, Lea. “Helping Others, Helping Ourselves” No 11, Volume 37. Page 38. American Psychological Association, December 2006.
https://www.apa.org/monitor/dec06/helping.aspx
This is another website that I really like because it’s a website that tells everything about helping you self vs helping others and how it’s therapeutic to yourself and how it can relieve stress. Helping other gives you a joy in your heart that you did something good that will forever go on for the rest of your life that you did that. The five word that they define and how they improve that is really interesting: Values,Community concern. Esteem enhancement, Understanding, personal development. And it also goes deep into how organization can hold on to volunteer for a long term. I think this is really helpful to myself because it can remind me why i’m doing this and the benefits of it. Also This is credible because it’s not in a website where they don’t put the sources and where they go the information from.
