I think you did a really good job exploring all of the facets of the feminist lens. I think it can be applied to many aspects of your story, and you considered the many ways gender and sex play into the characters and their dynamics.
I really like how much information you had and how you viewed it all from this feminist lens. Then I really liked how you would provide real world connections to it as well
I really enjoyed listening to this podcast. I like how you all tied the author’s background to reasoning within the book. I also like the question “Would he have wanted this to be published?” I think this is a really interesting question because it’s something that no one will be able to find out.
You guys did a great job of connecting ideas such as written intimacy, and explicit content into a feminist perspective. I think it's really insightful to not only comment on the contents of the book, but also on it's place in real world conversation.
I really enjoyed the thoughts and Ideas each of you had to the lens yall picked. It was interesting hearing you guy compare the book to the real-world stereotypes.
I like how you included the power dynamics because I felt like you explained the characters very well. You provided your examples with clear descriptions behind it. I like how you talked about David through the feminist lens, not just the female character in the book.
With the more mature topics discussed in the book you did a good job in keeping a professional tone. The main question at hand was answered in a way that didn't seem robotic or forced, overall it was a very chill podcast.
I love the way you guys make connections from the book to the outside world and discuss the ways it has been and can be viewed by the public, and the world that the book was first published in. You all also did a great job discussing the book through the feminist lens in a natural and thoughtful way.
Did a great job explaining what the lens meant and what your looking for. Our group and the one I just listen to did not do that. In hindsight, it would have been beneficial for the reader to hear that.
