Josephine Baker: Activist, Humanitarian & Burlesque Dancer Posted by Brooke Thompson in Reading, Writing, and Rising Up - Rami on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 7:24 am Many youth are not informed of the Harlem Renaissance, and ask questions about people who played important roles during that time. You might ask. "Who is Josephine Baker?". Josephine Baker sashayed onto a Paris stage during the 1920s with a comic, yet sensual appeal that took Europe by storm. Famous for barely-there dresses and no-holds-barred dance routines, people weren't informed on her humanitarian and charitable work she participated in. The purpose of this project is to inform viewers, in a visually appealing way, of who exactly Josephine Baker is and how she has positively impacted the world. http://josephinebakerbadam.weebly.com Comments (1) Gina Dukes I like that your website gave a good overview of who Josephine Baker was without overloading the viewer with too much information. Great pictures btw Log in to post a comment.
