Proyecto de Conversación 2

What does communication look like in Colombia? Conversation with Karlo, from Bogota, Colombia.

My partner taught me that life for a teen in Colombia is much like life in America. When conversing, they text more that they talk on the phone: similar to Americans. I learned that my partner is a very nice person, as he invited me to stay at his house if I ever go to Bogota (although this will not happen). I learned that I enjoy talking to others, as our conversation lasted for half of an hour. As we spoke more and more, I became increasingly interested in his cultural traditions. I was surprised that he was so friendly. If someone tried to chat with me about a school project, I doubt that I would be as cooperative as he was. I am proud that I learned something from the chat. I had a fear that it would be useless because no one would actually accept my chat request. My follow up questions would be about their religious culture. I am curious to learn what they do for holidays. Next time, I plan to talk with more than one person at a time. This way, I can choose which conversation I like the best.

Before actually reading the chat, I thought that the conversation was all in English, but I was happy to see everything was written in Spanish. So you accomplished two things wootwoot!
