I really liked this podcast. It kept me engaged. I learned a lot about the book as well as each person brought something different to the table. I like at the end that each person talks about what they predict. They also start talking about the religious aspect in the book which really had me wondering if that would continue throughout or it was just in the beginning. The intro was very short and sweet which was perfect.
I learned the essentials needed in the podcast such as plot and characters. I enjoyed the discussion of literal vs. figurative like how the chicken's head was cut off.
I learned about how everything that is happening in the book has a double meaning and is demonstrating how it will come up again in the book. I also learned about how religion plays an important role in the book and how it connects with some of the themes.
I really enjoyed the multiple perspectives brought up and the music that you guys were playing in the beginning which made it more like a podcast.
I learned a lot about the themes in the book. I think you guys did a great job going into the themes and giving contradicting opinions that made the discussion stronger. I enjoyed the casual conversation you guys had, it made the podcast more entertaining.
We are immediately given a summary of the story and then go into debating on the figurative language of the story displaying different perspectives that isn't given in the book.
I love how the music isn't overpowering and gives off a good vibe for the story, Your audio is really good without any background noise. You guys are funny and the way you talk makes the podcast feel inviting.
I learned about the plot of the book and the characters while listening to the podcast, but it felt like the same voice carried the whole podcast, with more people where heard. It still was a very good discussion though.
I learned what the book is about the religious connections or examples that are in the writing.
I enjoyed the way that they challenged each other's thoughts at times and always come out with the facts and quotes.
knowledge: I think we learned about the role of men in different cultures and who takes over when the father levels, with the epidemic of equals, react when one is given power over all.
enjoyment: I really like the flow of the podcast each voice was heard equally and they seemed really comfortable speaking. no one spoke over each other or lost the discussion.
I learned what the book was about, what the stakes in this book were, and where the conflicts happen. I learned why the quotes used in the podcast were important to the story's analysis. In addition, I found out the states and mentalities of the characters in the book, which influence them in different ways throughout the book. I learned a lot about the figurative meaning of literal things that happen in the story.
I liked that there was a little background music here. I liked that they used quotes to show what happened in the feature chapters. I enjoyed hearing the theories of what might happen next. I liked the crazy connections made in this podcast. I liked how the members kept theorizing why the characters were acting the way they were in the story.
Liked the discussion topics and the theme that lasted through the first part podcast. This kept the conversation topic interesting and allowed it to pop in a specific way. The conversation was in depth and the summary was nice too.
like what some other comments said I just need to hear some more voices.
I feel like I gained a better understanding of the application of religious texts when analyzing a story. Many authors draw from Christian influences, so it's important to understand what those influences are.
I really liked the balance of voices in the podcast. In addition, you guys did a really good job of building off of each other's ideas and maintaining a natural flow.
There is a lot of great discussion about the subjects, was reasonably on point with the discussion of the theme of literal vs. figurative, however, some voices were heard more than others.
