You did a good job sharing your perspectives on the book, and making sure everyone had a chance to talk. You also did a good job describing each lens and including a lot of important details from the book to support your opinions.
I like how you used this episode to talk about the author's point of view. The update pf what has happened so far was helpful and made the conversations flow well without questions (on my side.)
These topics were more unique than the other books topics, but you did a good job in comparing it to looking through the historical lens. Everything you said was well executed.
I enjoy how well you incorporated your research with your analysis. Knowing the context of when this was written puts some of the larger themes into perspective.
I really liked all the different aspects of the book this podcast included from travel, religion, culture, zoos, etc. It was also interesting to see you guys talk about what you would do in his situation.
You guys did a really good job of providing context and choosing specific topics and objects, like the zoo and the boat, to observe through the new historicist lens.
I didn't realize just how important the history of zoos was to this book. Cool Stuff. The group clearly did a lot of research on the historical time period of this book.
I think you guys did a really good job looking at the book through your lens. You can tell that you guys thought a lot about the context of the book and even did outside research.
