I volunteer at 5 different locations and I will pick which one I would like to have as my current paid job. Lately CCT (the bus service I can use sometimes) has not been on time and we would have to cancel the job shadowing. This shows that sometimes that CCT is not always reliable and I cannot go to long destinations for job shadowing. I will work at a place called Philadelphia Fight which helps people with STDs.
It is the second day of 5th grade, I am sitting at a table in a large classroom where everybody is talking about their summer and trying to make some new friends. At our table in the back of the classroom, I am talking with a girl named Adrienne, a girl named Avery, and a boy named Tyson. Tyson and Adrienne are talking about how to say forty. “Its pronounced forty” says Tyson. “No its pronounced fordy” says Adrienne. “Its fordy” I say. “What do you know” says Tyson. “I know it's pronounced fordy” I said. “Ooooooooo” says Adrienne and Avery.
From that day forward, Tyson and I had become best friends. We even live close to each other in West Philadelphia. Tyson always has my back and I always have his as friends should be. Another scene is when it was my birthday and Tyson had came to my house. It was on March 4th on a friday night and Tyson had called me to confirm my address and ten minutes later he showed up at my house. “Happy Birthday” says Tyson and his mom, “Thank you”, as I said trying not to smile too hard. At my house in West Philly it was my aunts, uncles, Nana, Mother, Father, brother, cousins, baby cousins, step-father and of course me. Me, Tyson, my brother Mike, and all of my cousins were playing video games. In 6th grade me and Tyson were never in the same classes. Tyson had became my best friend by always looking out for me and I would always do the same for him. Me and Tyson had became friends by just talking to each other and hanging out outside of school. It was one time when Tyson came over my house and my mom said “Hey my other child”. At that moment it just felt like Tyson had belonged there. Tyson and I are inseparable, this one time he had moved to Maryland but we still communicated. When he had came back to Philly he had told me tha this time he will stay.
Scott is reading and amazing book called The Book Theif. This is not a book from his childhood however, Scott use to like a book known as Camp Jackson because it is like a detective story and he really enjoyed learning how a detective works. A book Scott would like to throw out a window would be Macbeth because of the way he had spoke. Scott also said that his reading weak spot is that he will stop reading a book if it is to long or just plain boring.
People should elect a leader in order to keep everything organized so that there won't be chaos. In” Lord of the flies” the boys chose Ralph to be their leader. We all need a leader to keep us in check and to make new laws if we need to have them and make new and available jobs. If we do not have order civilization could collapse. If the boys in “ Lord of the flies” could not have Ralph more kids could not have survived the island or just go crazy/insane. If we did not have presidents we would just live in chaos or not living at all. Mainly a president's job is to keep the country safe and away from harm but if harm may come then they need to have a continuity plan. If the world we live in now did not have a president. We would all fail as a nation and it could be chaos. I Lord of the Flies if the boys did not elect Ralph as their leader thing could have gotten way out of hand (even though it kinda did).
What is anarchy? Anarchy is something that we can have without a president, government etc. In The lord of the Flies at first the boys did not have a leader and lived on the island in terror as they couldn’t find out what to do because it was no adults around to help them out. Anarchy can also happen if the wrong person is elected into doing something they cannot do correctly because they just want to lead or just boss the kids in Lord of the Flies or just boss people around in general. For example if Donald Trump is president anarchy is more than likely to happen. Donald Trump had said that he wants to build a wall around america to keep out the Mexicans out of America but also he wants them to pay for something that is bad for them. In conclusion this can prove that if the wrong person is going to be in charge there will be anarchy throughout the world.
Sara and Raechel were best friends since 2nd grade. They had just came back from seeing Straight Outta Compton. When Raechel and Sara had went through an alleyway Raechel came out on the other side leaving Sara bleeding out on the freezing dirty ground. Our main character is Laura who is Sara’s older sister. (You are Laura in your writing)I am a rookie detective who has a nice family and a rich husband. (Laura is speaking)I was talking to my brother Tommy since I was scared that Sara hasn’t called or texted in 3 weeks. “Where in the world could Sara be. I miss her” I said. When I was walking down an alleyway I had noticed had saw a hand hanging from a dumpster so I wanted to see if it was real or not so I opened up the dumpster and she had saw Sara there laying with a stab wound right in her heart. I had screamed in terror and then she called the cops for help. My husband Oliver had showed up at the crime scene and then he said “what happened why did you call and then talk really fast.” I could not even face Oliver as he saw the paramedics carrying Sara’s body on the stretcher. “We have to tell our kids later about what happened to Sara”. Oliver told Laura “ I- I didn’t want to leave them in the house alone when you called they are in the car right now”. As we turned around we had saw that our kids. Slade and Roy saw their aunt laying down on a stretcher with a blood stain on her heart they just looked at their parents and they family had grieved together. Two days later it was Sara’s funereal, I had looked around to see who was present and who wasn’t. Everybody was there except the reserved seat in the front row. Laura had remembered that she had specifically reserved that seat or Sara’s best friend Raechel. After the funeral I had asked Oliver and their kids if they saw Raechel they all had said no. Laura had went to an abandoned club and went to the basement finding her hidden cave. I was actually a vigilante who helps people and does not kill. She has a white costume and fights with two nightsticks. Her vigilante name is White Canary, she travels the night to find out who had killed her sister. One night she had saw thugs robbing a liquor store near Sara’s death site. White Canary tries to fight all of the thugs by herself and leave one standing to interrogate him. She is getting pummeled by the thugs, When she looks up she sees a masked hooded figure in the night. He beats up all of the thugs and then interrogates one of them and he says that he saw a red headed woman about 25yrs old, and also a knife in her right hand. White Canary stands up and says “ Who are you why are you investigating the exact murder i’m investigating. “I am investigating a death of my wife’s sister’s death”. Shocked Laura had said “Oliver is that you”? Soon after their reunion they both had put together all of they had found out about Sara’s death. Both of the leads they had lead into dead ins.They chose to have Tommy take the kids to Spain to keep them out of trouble. Tommy, Slade, and Roy checked into a hotel called Nanda Parbat. Laura had called over to Tommy and the kids to check on them. Oliver kept trying to figure out why Raechel hadn’t answer her phone or e-mails. Slade and Roy were watching tv when they heard glass shattering in Tommy’s room; they rushed into his room when they had saw Sara repeatedly stabbing Tommy in the heart. As the teenagers watched in fear as their uncle died of blood loss, Sara was looking strange when she was walking closer and closer to the boys White Canary came through the window and knocked Sarah out cold. “Mom”, the boys yelled as they gave her a hug. As Oliver was coming up the stairs he saw his best friend dead on the bed.
My language defines me as who I am. It depends who I am around, if I am with my cousins
or friends I might say different things. I might talk in different style then I would to adults. If I
am around my family I will use slang. If I am at a job interview I will us my best
vocabulary. I know when and where I should use appropriate vocabulary. Some people think
that it's always okay to use slang even at job interviews. It is always good to use good vocabulary every once in awhile. Some people can’t tell when they need to use proper vocab. People think that at job interviews they can say or even do there, like kicking their feet up at desks/tables. If you would like to work somewhere at a good job you need to look the part, give them a reason to hire you. Some people complain they don’t have a stable job or they want something better than what they have, but they act like they have no sense when they have a great job interview. People really need to know when and when not to use slang. If you use slang during a job interview they might throw you out or even give you a small amount of work time. If I am with my brothers and sisters then I will use a lot of slang since they would know what i’m saying. I talk different around my siblings. I would say different things to different age groups. I might say yo can you get that jawn over there. In my family we say yo a lot. In will always try not to use so much slang around adults in some situations people should not use slang. If I am around my father then I would use more slang , but if I am around my mother I will maybe just use “yo”. If I am around my entire family then I will barely talk but once i’m am around my cousins (or cuzzos as I like to call them) I will talk like a baby when it is excited about something. I am choosing animal abuse because there are a lot of people around the world abusing animals. There are too many people using animals to take advantage of them just because they may make one small mistake. Some people would make up an excuse saying that they would hit their pet just because they were not listening to their owner. Also thousands of animals would be abused each day just because they were with the wrong owner. The most abused animal is the pitbull. This one pitbull, she was a girl and she was homeless until one night a stranger had came up to her in an alleyway and tied a wire very tight around her mouth. Her nose had to be surgically removed. It is really sad that humans would be so cruel to hurt or attack a sensitive animal like this.
Now wouldn't you like to see a dog happy, not sad? Why would anyone want hurt a poor little puppy or kitten? Some people say that it's hard to train an animal or they don't like how their pets react to certain things. That's why ASPCA would help. Nobody could ever make up an excuse to hurt a dog physically or mentally. The main reason why I chose animal abuse is because too many people think that animals shouldn't be treated as well as humans. Sometimes I really just wonder why humans would take their anger out on poor little animals, and why would they do that? Why hurt little animals at least you could confront the people that hurt you instead?
You can actually help the fight against animal abuse. You can spot animal abuse by just walking down the street. If an animal has untreated wounds it can get infected. An owner could be seen giving it's pet dirty water. If you look closely at a dog's neck, there might be a scar on it's neck from the collar being too tight. I think animal abuse should be stopped by arresting the owners that abuse their pets. It is not fair to the animals that have to deal with this in any time in their lives.
