Zeyah Gomez's Capstone

Posted by Zeyah Gomez in Capstone · Latimer · Wed on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at 8:36 pm

My capstone is basically proving how SLA’s core values help you through any artistic thing you want to do. Whether that’s in social media, my project is how collaboration helped my tik tok grow. I break down stats and before and after on how i was just making videos individually and then when I used the SLA core value collaboration I went viral and it was really all thanks to the sla core value. I went to 22 followers to 10 thousand. My project shows and presents many core values through my videos on tik tok.

Which is more effective non-violence or violence?

Posted by Zeyah Gomez in English 3 · Block/Harmon · B Band on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 10:16 pm
There were four college students that were standing up for segregation rights so they went to the local dinner and was not served food. Other people that saw this begin to stop coming to the diner because the racism that was taking place at the diner. These students from A&T a historically black college.  This was called the “Sit in” in Greensborough, North Carolina. Their protest was to sit in at a segregated Diner. The Greensborough four said the waiter said: “they can’t be served and you're going to get yourself in a lot of trouble.” Franklin Mccain stated “ I was too angry to be scared. We're not going to leave until you serve us.” This is a primary example of a peaceful protest. There have been numerous debates about what is more effective violence or non-violence. I am on the non-violence side. Notable figures like Malcolm X and Martin Luther King has also had their opinion about what is the most effective way to bring change in the world.
Multiple activists in the world have different views of what is the most effective to bring change. Malcolm X believed an eye for an eye, to not be weak and not sit there and take mistreatment. Malcolm X wanted black people to stand up for each other when they were being mistreated. In this quote Malcolm X believes that there will be a clash between “The oppressed and the oppressors”. This quote shows that Malcolm X believes violence is the most effective way to bring change and not to talk it out you have to take freedom by force and not just sitting there and trying to bargain with your freedom.“Nobody can give you freedom. Nobody can give you equality or justice or anything. If you're a man, you take it.”...” Malcolm’s dream was different from Martin’s, Malcolm saw that there will be fights between blacks and whites and some altercation.  When he says taking it it's referring to taking it with force and not just reasoning with the person taking your freedom it's by force. Some say this method was really effective and gathered a lot of people together but it also turned a majority against Malcolm. The same thing that worked against Malcolm helped Martin Luther King. The non-violence factor gave Martin more people because it gave more people an idea of how black people were being treated and lead more people to join the movement.

Martin Luther King took the non-violence approach which seemed more popular because it got not only blacks on board but also white people also. A death in a non-violence protest was believe it or not it was beneficial for the protest because people questioned why are people getting beaten and killed and they are protesting peacefully.  This quote Martin is choosing love instead of causing more hate which he realizes will only cause more problems because the whites were in power so if Martin’s protester fought with force they would lose because of how little power they have. “I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear.” The Selma marches were organized by nonviolent activists to demonstrate the desire of African-American citizens to exercise their constitutional right to vote, in defiance of segregationist repression, and were part of a broader voting rights movement underway in Selma and the best technique was to not fight back. The Selma-to-Montgomery marchers fought for the right to vote, President Lyndon Johnson addressed a joint session of Congress, calling for federal voting rights legislation to protect African Americans from barriers that prevented them from voting. Although the process of the non-violence march took some years it did influence a change. It is hard for some to look at all the deaths that transpired and actual say change is coming from people keep getting killed but there’s a price for freedom and Martin Luther King believed that and unfortunately died for it.

The freedom ride was organized in 1961 by the Congress of Racial Equality (CORE), a civil rights group committed to direct, non-violent action. More than a decade earlier, the U.S. There strategy was to protest till the other side would fight them and be so angry. This is like a boxer in a fight, the boxer is willing to get hit until the other person is tired then the boxer tht was getting hit makes his move  “We felt we could count on the racists of the South to create a crisis so that the federal government would be compelled to enforce the law.” They wanted to change the law by being the ones taking the punishment.

In conclusion, there are many debates that non-violence and violence which one is more likely to bring change. Change is always a process and non-violence is the most effective but it always comes with a price.

Finding me

Posted by Zeyah Gomez in English 3 · Block/Harmon · B Band on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 8:00 pm
Intro: This essay is about finding my true identity. I struggle with two identities my school identity was agreeing with everything. Monkey see, Monkey do whatever you like I like. My school identity was not really me and it would spill over into the house which caused conflicts. I start off with a reflection of a scene that paints a picture in the reader's head and gives you an idea of the environment I was in.

Sweat drips, drips, drips when I walk into my new class. My legs are shaking to the point where I can’t lift them up to walk so I drag them. Once I walk in and I’m met with 19 unfamiliar faces. Left, right, left, right. The teacher points to my seat, I go to my seat without an answer. I’m next to a blonde haired kid with thick glasses. He introduced himself as Aaron disregarding the teacher talking in the front of the classroom. I introduce my self. Aaron saw I was the only black fifth-grade kid, and he asks a question: “ Since your dark do you taste like chocolate?” before I could process this question I turn around to a tongue to my left cheek. Aaron licked me to see if I tasted like chocolate. I knew then that I would have to figure out who I was as a person.

My mom went to law school in Harrisburg and attended Penn State University. That means we had to move from Philadelphia. I didn’t really care because I was in second grade but I was also unaware of the possibility that the move would change my identity and make me veer away from my culture. Beast of The Southern Wild it shows, Hushpuppy and her people were taken from there way of living. Hushpuppy was use to catching their food and going out into the wilderness to a place where they were contained inside all day. It was a big change from Philadelphia. We went from a big city to a small town named Carlisle. Carlisle was so small, everything was next to everything.

“ The self that I attempted to take out into the world was rejected over and over again and my panic at not having a self that fit and the confusion that came from myself being rejected created anxiety and shame”  This quote was stated  from Thandie Newton an actress. I tried to give the real me to the world and it seemed the world didn’t want to accept my real self. I dealt with this by changing the way I spoke, the way I laughed, and even the stuff I used to like I would change them to other things.  For three years I didn't have any diversity which changed my identity at home. All my friends were white there was no variety in my school which I think every kid needs. My grandma would cook some Spanish food and I wanted some cheeseburgers and half the time I didn’t like Spanish food because I couldn´t understand why my friends weren´t eating that type of food. I felt like I couldn´t be my true self in middle school at all.

One question that I look back on, is when did I start reclaiming my true identity?  I didn’t start finding my true identity until I moved out of Carlisle. Carlisle was made for a small town and farm raised a family. We were a city family. So my mom and I moved after she graduated and I didn’t want to move because I was already comfortable. When I moved I finally experienced diversity where I was with all kinds of races which lead me to communicate and have more things in common with some of the kids and that's what started to bring out my true identity.

In conclusion, I always think you're a product of your environment. I had an Uncle that went to Jail for three years of his life and he was never the same. Jail changed him in ways I don’t even know today. Imagine going to your family everyday eating what you want, sleeping when you want, go outside to being told what to do at 40 years old. My Uncle had to adjust just like I had to when I moved back from Carlisle to Philadelphia. I wasn’t the same person coming back it took time to adjust to my environment and know I can proudly say I found my true identity and I’m proud of the journey I took to find my identity.

Advanced essay #1(Mama's house,kool-aid, and a gun.

Posted by Zeyah Gomez in English 3 · Block/Harmon · B Band on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 9:12 am
Mama's house, Kool-aid, and a Gun

Intoduction: This essay paints a picture and tells a story about my family. My family is all about loyalty and if you're not loyal to us they will shut you out. This story shows an example of my cousin being shut out because of lack of loyalty. The moral of this story is caring for your own family.

This was my great grandmas house in Allentown. We always had visitors pop up either it was for family or friends we always had visitors at mamas. We always had our guard up and read people to see bad intentions in people. Allentown is where I was born, the streets were kinda rough. I remember when my cousins found a dead body behind my great grandmas shack. Allentown home of Dorney Park. Allentown known for there crazy up and down rides and sometimes those rides are outside Dorney. The streets can be up and down, my cousin  was incarcerated for having weed in his car. My great grandmas’ house was a safe place and that's where my Grandma and Mom grew up eating arroz y frijoles then I came along eating fried plantains and rice watching cartoons.  “ Seyahh comer, comer banaka”  Screamed mama. The chairs in the kitchen looks like an antique wooden chair that has a maple brown. The stove is white and has pots and a tub of butter which is most likely not butter but leftovers. The cupboards are brown and attached to it is a paper towel rack, beside the cupboards is a big light over the stove. On top of the stove are little dolls for decoration. The size of the room is a small tight spaced kitchen packed with Kitchen utensils. The refrigerator contains leftover spanish food my great grandma made the day before, sugary Kool-Aid , butter, milk, cheese, and various dressings. My mom grew up in the same kitchen and walls. They used to say My mom had a bright smile that can light up a dark room. Me I came later as a toddler bad attitude and a hairline worse than the Mcdonalds sign,“Your head is enormous, Wsp Big head?, Your head is crazy big” and I heard that all my life, I would get tore up about my head because it was too big. My Uncle was a strong believer in God and went to church every sunday. Every sunday he would bring us to church, my uncle always had a smile on his face with his shiny bald head and faded mustache.  This day will forever be in my head, I go to the kitchen to get me some nice sugary kool aid from the refrigerator, I poured my tall glass I turned the corner and I see a big figure and my uncle in the door frame. “ No don’t do this, Angel please” the tall figure has a long silver weapon pointed at my uncle's head ready to go off. I look closer and its begins to be clearer now it was a gun. I run upstairs thinking I’m going to hear a gunshot sound off, It’s silent then I hear a loud slam of the door, heavy breathing and praying. I wake up next morning my uncles eyes lifeless like he seen a ghost. We brush our teeth, put on our socks and shoes, and we prayed before we went downstairs. The kitchen. The same kitchen I went downstairs to get my sugary red kool-aid. The same kitchen my mom, uncles, aunts, cousins grew up in. I have a new memory now of the kool aid that made me think of the tall figure. Made me think of the gun, made me think of my Uncle.
“Wash your hands, pray over breakfast, clean the dishes”
I hear whispers between my great grandma and my uncle.
“ Comer, Comer” my grandma yelled
We got up from watching Spongebob and went to eat. The plate was rice and beans with some fried chicken and a glass of some nice sugary kool-aid with some ice at the bottom.
“ You can’t have him come back ever again, the safety of the children is in your hands now”  my grandma whispered angrily
“ I know, I know mama”
This experience was to always protect anyone your care about because as a man his job is to protect his family. The king lion protects his wife and his cubs from predators same as humans supposed to protect their wife and kids. My uncle was a lion and he stood tall in front of his son pulled out a gun on him, my uncle was protecting us. If my uncle stood in front of a gun that shows he will protect us from anything. My uncle would always be a hero for that and now he's teaching us cubs to protect like him.

Who has the power?

Posted by Zeyah Gomez in English 2 · Pahomov · C Band on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 2:59 pm

Who’s really in power, the leader, or their followers? Kings or people in power are powerful, but there are plenty of moments in history where they have been overthrown by their subjects. Throughout  history the people serving their monarchy would lead rebellions, and revolutions trying to overthrow the monarchy, or leaders in rule. The monarchy tells the people what to do or maybe moves them out of position to overthrow. The King is stereotyped to be the one in power but little do they know the servants are working the behind the scenes and know their every move. This shows that leaders may not have all the power they think they have. Followers will overthrow or switch sides when conditions start to be unbearable or disagree with an order.

We see an example of this during King Edward II’s ruling. King Edward II was a King of England he ruled from 1307-1327. In an article explaining the reason for why King Edward was overthrown, it gives a break down of the cause and effect of his actions with his close friend who contributed to it. According to the article, Edward was an unpopular king and a ineffective ruler. He was overthrown  and betrayed in a conspiracy led by the queen herself, his empire fell down in a terrible fashion. Edwards unpopular status led to his own kingdom started to switch sides Edward’s wife also found out he had a male lover. The way in which she overthrew him was by bringing his close friend to live in his household. This close friend later turning out to be Edward’s lover, and the queen’s jealousy led her to lead the kingdom against him. Because the kingdom didn’t like the nature of the king's relationship with his “Friend”. It made it easy to overthrow him. One of the main reasons why the queen led the overthrowing was because of her uncomfortability. Edward's wife's living conditions would of been bad with Edward's new lover. In those times, women were given little to no power oftentimes and seen as less than men. This made it harder for women to have certain positions and titles in that society. To be a woman, involving with overthrowing was not only unthinkable but unsuspected. There would be more consequence for a women seen doing this, or involved in this, more so than a man. This is what makes this situation of overthrowing so unique in the case of King Edward, not only was it his queen who overthrew him, but also a women who although had power was not considered to have that much authority or much voice, especially to overthrow him.

In “Lord of  Flies” by William Golding, a group of boy were on a field trip and tragedy struck when they got into a plane crash. Realizing they were stuck on the island with no adults they decided to choose a leader amongst themselves. Ralph the main leader of the boys was voted by the boys, and thought to be the best option. Co-leader Jack, leader of the choir boys  was also chosen and made responsible to hunt. Ralph always calls an assembly to discuss decisions. The boys use a conch to help them to make important decisions. This conch gives the person that's holding it the power to speak out. Ralph blows the conch to call an assembly to have a checklist of things they need to do in order to survive on this savage island. As weeks go by, there began to be more tension between Ralph and the boys as Ralph began to display actions that were not of agreement to them. He became less and less admired by them, and the more this happened the more unfit he became as a leader to them. This caused for much conflict between them which made the desire to overthrow him stronger and stronger.

During an assembly, Ralph calls out some of  the hunters who are laughing at him as he speaks, about fire. Fire is the most important thing need in order  to get noticed on the island., so that they can be rescued. Ralph feels that this matter is not being taken seriously and is immediately drawn to anger. The hunters stop laughing and start shouting at Ralph even though Ralph is in power with the conch. ”There was a row immediately. Boys stood up and shouted and Ralph shouted back” (81)The boys were already separated when Ralph gave Jack power over the choir boys, but Ralph was always the leader of everyone, but Jack shows a little resentment to Ralph, showing that he and the hunters have already discussed Ralph’s leadership. This resentment influences the tension that Ralph feels toward them and already gives them a sort of upper hand because they have more power not just among themselves but because Jack as co-leader gives them an advantage. The boys are slowly turning on Ralph, not  the chosen one, not heeding to the fact that he was already made to be leader. They also do not care or worry that they do not have as much power. Although the boys are not considered on such a high level of power, they still hold power amongst themselves, that makes the overthrowing of Ralph as leader more possible.

My second reason for why overthrowing of Ralph became more desired by the boys, was because of the way Jack appealed to them more and portrayed his leadership. Jack was always willing to help the boys out and keep their best interest in mind, while Ralph did not he did stuff to survive. This quickly made him a better candidate for them and a better in their eyes, than Ralph.

Despite Jack’s and Ralph's disagreements in the past, Jack kills a pig and invites Ralph, Piggy and most of Ralph’s followers to a big feast. Ralph accepts to try to calm the tension between him and Jack and gain control so they can survive the island together. Jack is painted as a king on a throne he has people giving commands to all the hunters. Post meal Jack offers an invitation to all Ralph’s followers to join his “Kingdom.” Which totally backfired on Ralph because his purpose was the  completely opposite. Most of them accept, despite Ralph’s attempts to not lose his followers.” Whos going to join my tribe? I gave you food and my hunters will protect you from the beast who will join my tribe?”(150)

“Im chief,” said Ralph,”because you chose me. And we were going to keep the fire going. Now you run after food-”

“You ran yourself!” shouted Jack

“Who’ll join my tribe?”

“I will”

“Me”

“I will”(151)

Jack took advantage of the littluns age and fed them and made it seem there tribe was better than Ralph’s tribe and had more resources than Ralph. Ralph tried to blow the conch but he's in Jack’s kingdom. Jack is the co-leader so he has a higher power and supposed to take orders from Ralph the main leader. Jack took over with his power and became bigger than Ralph to the point Ralph’s loyalist became Jacks new servants.

Another monarchy that was betrayed was Charles the first. Charles ruled 1625 until his execution in 1649. Charles was married to a fifteen year old french princess many members of the Commons were opposed to the king's marriage to a Roman Catholic. According to my source many of his subjects opposed his policies. I think this King is similar to “Lord of the flies” the leaders make decisions that the servants don’t like and they can turn on you in a instant.

Conclusion:When times start to get tough you see who is really loyal to you and whos going to stick with you. We saw how King Edwards the second trying to live up to his father's expectations and failed. Charles the first was another high monarchy that crashed and fell when he married a fifteen year old french princess many members of the Commons were opposed to the king's marriage to a Roman Catholic which played a big part in his downfall. Ralph actions lead followers to leave like King Edwards building a shelter instead of rationing some food for days led to some littluns going to Jack’s tribe. When you fail people will switch sides they turned on King Edwards the second like Ralph. So Who has the most power now the leader or the servants?

"3 strikes And You're Out"

Posted by Zeyah Gomez in English 2 · Pahomov · C Band on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 11:29 am
(Door slams shut)
(Boy walks downstairs with a baseball glove)

Where did Dad go? (pause)Again? (pause)Why?(pause) We were supposed to go to the field and throw around the baseball. I thought you said he would never leave me. We gave him another chance. You gave him another chance. I had to accept it, it was months and months and months of forgiving. I..I..I can't believe this is happening to me. I hear rap songs about them having no dad to teach them life lessons and how to be a man. Mom what did you do? It was you. What do you mean it’s not like that?(Pushes his mom).
Oh my od what Am I doing? Are you ok? This is his fault. All the texts I sent him, . I never wanted a gift for Christmas: the only gift I wanted was his presence. Thanksgiving nothing beats having your Dad dig in the sweet pumpkin pie with you. All those Baseball games when I was at the plate where were you in the bleachers?(crying ) Mom and I got evicted, where were you at? When I got hit by a baseball at my game  where were you at to wipe my tears and tell me i did a good job? When mom and I  were dead broke and I had to take off a year from school to go get a job, where were  you at put the food on the table? (Yelling/Talking to himself). You left me in these Philly streets alone. These streets are filled with gorillas, killers, and drug dealers, who is going to protect me? My mom? She’s too fragile to shield me. I needed a dad to teach me to shave, take care of a woman, throw a football, all those but the streets are the only one that hasn't left me like my dead beat ass father. (Uncovers a gun from his mattress) No he is gonna pay for the pain I have constantly endured since I was two. Things are going to be different around here. From now on I’m praying to this gun. You don’t know any  basic things about me, What’s my favorite color? What are my favorite foods? What’s my jersey number? (Crying voice) I always looked up to you the way you hit the way no one could pitch against you. You always hit dingers out the park, I just wanted to be like you. You got me with a gun in the tub. Shutup, sag, hold your gun sideways, men don’t cry. Men don’t pout. Men don’t need their dad. Men survive. Men get it themselves. (Someone knocks on the door) Dad? Why do you have a bat? No. this? This is nothing. (suddenly pulling up his pants and scrambling with the gun) I thought you left. What is that in your hand? No way you have to be kidding me? Is this the bat you got three dingers in that one game in the Giants (swinging the bat). The hole? Oh no that’s nothing ( moving towards the hole) Fine I thought you left me for good again. Mom, oh I pushed her outta anger from you leaving I know I shouldn’t lay hands on mom. My pants they sagged because I was boutta hit the corner. This is a reflection life without you. Without your support, Without your love. The baseball is all I wanted to do.I want to be like you pops. You made me want to pick up a bat and a glove. Shortstop slugger (Swings bat again) just like you.

All my life I grew up in a Allentown rice and bean making environment. My family always goes  to my great grandma's house  and the smell of rice and beans just lures you in. I use my Spanish One  knowledge and a little bit of the spanish I  speak at home,  to communicate with my mama because like me,  she only knows one language. I know English and she knows Spanish. I never knew the importance of speaking spanish. I doesn’t understand and not knowing something or ignorance is terrible especially when it’s your own culture and race.

When my family moved to Philly when I was younger all  my friends were African american . I just adapted to that way of life , so I felt more connected with one side of my race.I didn’t learn about my race until I got a lot older. I believe the friends you are around will shape you into who you are  and vice versa. Then, when I was younger , I moved to Carlisle because my mom went to get her law degree for three years. The majority of my friends were Caucasian, and because of that, I slowly began to lose my roots. I started acting like my friends until I was discriminated for it.  That would be like a wake up call.

“ Hey Zeyah”

“Wsp Aaron”

Outta nowhere Aaron licked my face

“ Yooo why did you do that”

“ You black so I wanted to see if you tasted like chocolate”

( Zeyah Runs off to the office)

When I moved to Philadelphia,I attended M.C.S. located on Spring Garden, with the majority of students were black, and I began to transform. For example when I was in Carlisle, I listen to more Pop and songs on the radio, but Philadelphia was trendy with Hip-hop. I started admiring hip-hop more,  and starting adapting to Philly slang and I had to get tougher. The only problem was my school had a astonishing Social Studies class but it didn’t have a Spanish class where I could  learn. I didn’t mind it as much until , I wanted some more food and my mama who her only language is  spanish couldn’t  understand me

Not speaking Spanish when your Spanish is terrible. You can’t even have a simple conversation with your own family.  Everywhere I go they start speaking the language and I just have to shake my head.

“No se”

It’s frustrating especially when other hispanics come at you for it. One day I was meeting new people and I met some spanish girl at school.

“Hey”

“Hey”

“What are you?”

“ Puerto Rican, Dominican, Black”

“ *starts speaking spanish*”

“ uhhh...I’m currently learning on Rosetta right now.”

I make up little slick excuses so I don’t look as bad. I say things wrong to like the pronunciations of different foods or just regular words because I had little practice in saying these words.I say if you learn as a baby you will know more because babies soak up more than when you grow up learning. Even though I struggle with the language.

Even though I struggle with the language, I still love my culture and  never will forget my roots. Through my eyes this system is very important because this is you your personality and your traits.  I love everything about my cultures I can relate to so many people since I’m half and half. Everything to Malcolm X and Collard Greens to pastelillos de arroz y frijoles. My family embraces their culture too. We love dancing at parties and just being ourselves. My mom introduced me to Mark Anthony which is my favorite spanish artist right now. Currently I'm still learning but the instruments and the beats in which  makes you want to dance. All I do is dance like in the Dominican Republic where they are very proud to be spanish. I learnt some words there but everything was so culturally based the people dancing Salsa and Meringue until sun up until sundown.  I often hang out with both of my families on my dad's side and on my mom’s side. My mom’s side is spanish and my dad’s side is black. I hang out more with my dad’s side now because they live closer, when I’m there I eat more cornbread, fried chicken, and white rice My spanish family eats more fried plantains,  pastelillos, and rice and beans I do see sometime a mix though in cultures which I love seeing. We eat these foods like at get togethers.

Carbon and the atomic number 6It was first recognized as an element in the second half of the 18th century. Name: A.L. Lavoisier proposed carbon in 1789 from the Latin carbo meaning "charcoal."I got the idea by just looking up interesting facts about carbon. The process we took was draw it and then put some ink in. Something I would do different was to get a more creative design. I liked the ink part the most.

This stamp represents me because my stamp symbols talking out and speaking against controversial causes. My final design idea I just thought and said "What represents me?" and I feel like this represents myself. I brainstormed caring, smart, hard working, conscious. I picked a word of speaking out. When I was in 7th grade I went to a public speaking class and you never hid your opinions and that represented me. The importance of positive and negative space is important because when the symbol is opening its mouth it blends with the background. I got stuck doing this project with symbol ideas I constantly kept throwing away numerous amount of paper. I solved it by getting extra help and looking at examples . I learned that positive and negative space is a effective way to express art in a different way.

1. Positive space is the light in a image, negative space is the darker of the image
2. I looked at the darker part of the image to find the negative space.
3. It helps an artist see the brighter colors in the image and darker.
4. Yes it does enhance the image it brings more definition and detail.

Tell your reader what printmaking is and why it is important.

Print making is process of which art is printed on a platform Printmaking is important because it’s a way to express yourself as an artist. Street art/ Graffiti is a form of printmaking.  If you see Graffiti out on walls in your city you’re seeing printmaking first hand.
Explain to the reader why the invention of printmaking was revolutionary and why it is so important.

The invention of printmaking was revolutionary because there was revolutionary art that made history that was printmaking. Pablo Picasso even did printmaking the most popular artist. Printmaking is important because it revolves around art or the reverse.

Find a print that interests you. Download a copy of the print, upload the print with credits to your blog.

Tell why you find the print artistically interesting. Use this resource (Links to an external site.) to properly tell about the print you chose.

My sign is a Taurus and the sign of a Taurus is a bull. I like the mix of colors it seems like negative colors, because an animal is killing another animal.  I noticed the picture is simple for example the feet are like little triangles. I wonder the inspiration of this artwork, was it from a experience with a bull or does this symbolizes the artist. What if this picture was not negative What if the background was filled with spectators in the background.
Use - I notice... I wonder… What if… to explain how you think about the work of art.

New Slide proved Z.gomez

Untitled presentation
I learned new vocab and not to create for example tangents, contrast, and etc.
I made changes because my first slide was having too much going on too much.
Research is very important because your slide will become cringey and bad.

Life of Zey

I made my slide the way it is because I take great pride in my culture and I wanted to make sure my slide had a lot of clarity in that department. My slide might be simple but it’s  clear. I think my pictures on my slide says a lot and sets up my structure. I didn’t want my slide to be to complicated because I feel like the person who is checking it out would be  to overwhelmed. I’m black so I put black in the background and then all the remaining races in the center so the viewer can know my variety of my races. What inspired me was my love for  basketball and my race.  I had a lot of patience and thought into my slide. I thought how can I get my message across? How will people understand my slide the best way possible? Some things I said what shapes me? I kinda eliminated things that really didn’t shape me as the person I am. I made a quote that really I heard all my life the center of attention because it really was a quote that really changed my perspective of life. “Which is do everything with fire.”

Gomez home network

Posted by Zeyah Gomez in Technology - Freshman · Hull · c1 Band on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 9:22 am
What I learned about my network consists of a router, a coax cable, and I learned how much my internet costs. I had an OMG moment when I figured out my network cost it was interesting how my internet works so fast with all these devices connected to my network. I would tell someone about having a home network is to get it because its worth it.\

my home network

Posted by Zeyah Gomez in Technology - Freshman · Hull · c1 Band on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 7:22 pm

explain your L.A.N. Local Area Network - all the devices on your internet connection. my router has the power to my internet, us/ds ( upstream, downstream), 2.4 ghz, 5 ghz.

reflect on what you learned about networks, did you have an OMG moment that you learned something new and interesting? if now write about what you learned? I learned that my network is expensive that was new and it’s interesting that my network can connect to all these devices and still be fast. what would you tell other people that they need to know about having an ISP/Home network?

Pick your service provider wisely and smartly if that means a package deal or anything be smart about your network.
