Meade walked into the tent where his lieutenants were staying to formulate a plan. His lieutenants were all regular men but the one thing they were good at was being able to command, and every soldier knows that if you're a lieutenant to general Meade then you have to be able to fill in the holes in his plan
“There is not much high ground in Gettysburg which makes it a perfect place for the Confederates to attack,” said Meade.
“That is correct sir the only places available that can actually be defended are little and big round top,” commented a lieutenant.
“Good move the troops there and halt all artillery fire.” said Meade.
Robert E. Lee was walking fast towards Colonel Picket,
