Lamar Reed - Media Fluency Reflection

Lamar Reed's Tech Slide

Reflection:
I learned that the rule of thirds really has a big impact on how something looks to the eye. When I had made my slide, it looked weird because of where everything was. The changes I made to my slide was getting rid of the picture of myself, moving the words over, and changing the font color of the word “draw.” I also changed the font of “fire spitting” and my name “Lamar Reed”. I removed the picture and moved the words over because the way they were placed made my slide look weird to the eye, so when I changed it up,the slide became more comfortable and easy to look at. I changed the color of the word “draw” so it can pop out more and font the font so it can a more cooler effect to how people see the slide. I also purposely kept “fire spitting” red so it can have a fire type color to it. Researching before a project is so important because if you do enough research, you can be prepared and know what to do instead of guessing and trying to improvise when you don’t have an understanding of the project and it’s requirements.

The background is really nice, but the ¨firespitter¨ should have been in a different color. It is because the color blend in with the background. It could be more improved but good job.

Your slide shows that you've put some consideration of the comments you've received from your previous slide. I don't think there was a strong enough contrast on your slide to make a impact on your message. Your reflection clearly shows your thoughts when making the changes on your slide.

This is a big improvement from your original slide. it feels much more balanced, and the text feels a lot more balanced. I would still recommend changing the color of "fire spitting" because it almost disappears into the fiery background.

what I thought was interesting was how you put the focus of your presentation int he middle of your slate. Although the text colors aren't comfortable because they don't harmonize with one another . and some of the wording colors are too similar to the background.

I think you made some great improvements on your slide, but like everyone else I thought is was hard to see the word's that were not white. Your reflection shows that you clearly learned a lot from this experience.

This slide is an improvement from your previous slide. The slide looks a lot better with just the words instead of the pictures. I think you should still change the color of "fire spitting" because it blends in with the background and it is hard to see.

I think that the idea of different colored fonts was a good way to make the text stand out. Although I think that having the words fire spitting red, made them harder to read. There was not enough contrast to make it stand out.

Your slide looks a lot better, but there isn't much contrast with your background. The hue in the word "firespitter" is too similar to the background. Also , the green doesn't work well with the pattern you chose. It's uncomfortable.
