Artist statement

We chose to build our circuit inside of a cheetah print wedge. We chose this shoe from any other shoe because we really thought it represented our point brilliantly. Tyikenyua and I are very involved in fashion, and that's something we share an interest in. We thought that this wedge represented our love for fashion well, because it was exotic and out there. It's fun, and something you would wear to a party. This shoe is creative, unique, and just looks like you would have a fun time. We feel as if that's our dedication to fashion is the same way.

I like the whole idea of putting the lights where the shoe strings would go into you shoes now they can light up bright for everyone to really notice your shoes and you should where them and see if they stay lit all day.

To describe this shoe I am going to use Kristi's legendary words. This shoe is absolutely groovy. I really like the way you filled the shoes holes with lights. I can see that a lot of work went into this. Job well done!
