Brycen Itzko's Capstone

Posted by Brycen Itzko in Capstone - Block - Wed on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at 4:26 pm

For my capstone, I did a teaching course for Project Space. I worked along three other seniors to create a four week course for two different classes. We each decided to each make our own teaching plan, with mine being about comets, asteroids and exoplanets. Every week one of us taught the class that day about their course. The classes occurred during the third quarter of the school year, with the students all being freshmen from Science Leadership Academy. The student I taught were well mannered and enjoyed the course that I was teaching. I created my course in such a way that the students will stay engaged and interested in what I was teaching them.

Capstones must use the five core values, Inquiry, Research, Collaboration, Presentation and Reflection. I have used these five core values as a guideline for creating my teaching plan. For inquiry, I had to ask questions such as how I can engage the students. For research, I needed to understand what I was going to teach about so that I could teach it properly. For collaboration, we had to figure out which order the four of us were going to teach in while also making sure that our teaching plans didn't overlap. For presentation, it was teaching the students my course.

Overall, my capstone taught me how to manage my resources more, while also helping to develop my core values so that I can better improve myself for the future.

Bibliography

Night Sky Network | Outreach Resources. (n.d.). Retrieved January 30, 2015, from http://nightsky.jpl.nasa.gov/download-list.cfm

This source provides information about activities that teachers can use with students. The topics mainly involve space related activities, which will be useful to me as it will provide me with a variety of educational activities that I will be able to use when I teach a class for my capstone. I plan on using one relating to comets since I will be teaching about it, which has a wide variety of comet-related activities that will help me engage with my students while also proving them with more knowledge about my topic. I found this source to be very helpful for my capstone.

Kepler Planet Candidate Data Explorer. (n.d.). Retrieved January 30, 2015, from http://planetquest.jpl.nasa.gov/kepler

I found this source useful because it provides an interactive search tool that shows one of the several methods that is used to find exoplanets in our universe. I will be using this to let the students try out and engage more for my topic with exoplanets, which is one of the two main topics I will be teaching to my students. This source is extremely valuable to me as it will help improve the engagement of the students, which is important as they will learn much better if they can get a hands-on experience.

Exoplanet Orbit Database | Exoplanet Data Explorer. (n.d.). Retrieved January 30, 2015, from http://exoplanets.org/

I selected this source because it provides detailed information about exoplanets that have been discovered so far. It provides a wide variety of different detail of each exoplanet, which will allow me to give examples of one of the methods that is used to find planets. This source will also help me to improve my understanding of my topic, as I am always trying to improve my knowledge about my topics so that I can provide a better learning experience for my students.

Extrasolar Planets. (n.d.). Retrieved January 30, 2015, from http://www.planetary.org/explore/space-topics/exoplanets/

I found this source useful because it provides topics that related to exoplanets, which will allow me to better my understanding of what I will be teaching. This source features a blog that updates with new information about exoplanets. I will mainly use this source for my own knowledge, as the more I know about my topic, the more I will be able to engage with the students without the problem of not knowing enough. The source overall is a excellent informational site that will be an important part of my capstone.

Astronomy For Kids - KidsAstronomy.com. (n.d.). Retrieved January 30, 2015, from http://www.kidsastronomy.com/

While this source is limited in the fact that it teaches about space related topics at a basic level, it provides me a general idea of what my topic is. This source will also help me to figure out how I want to explain my topics to my students, as using complex information may confused my students. I need to teach my students in a way that will be easy for them to understand, and keep them interested in my topic when I teach the students about comets, asteroids and exoplanets.

Rosetta. (n.d.). Retrieved January 30, 2015, from http://rosetta.jpl.nasa.gov

This source provides information about the Rosetta Mission, which was the first successful landing on a comet. There is a huge amount of information and data that I will be using for my topic on comets, which will be one of the main things that I will be discussing. The source also has plenty of detailed pictures that I will be showing to my students when I teach. Overall, this source will be a major part of my capstone that will not only help me gain a better understanding, but also my students.

Asteroids and Comets, Asteroids and Comets Information, Facts, News, Photos -- National Geographic. (n.d.). Retrieved January 30, 2015, from http://science.nationalgeographic.com/science/space/solar-system/asteroids-comets-article/

I selected this source because it talks about asteroids and comets, both of which I will be teaching about to my students. There is a interactive part that I will be able to give to students for them to engage and learn from. I do find this source limited in the fact that there’s not much other in-depth information, but it’s simple enough for my students to understand, which is an important part for my teaching plan. Overall I find this source to be helpful for letting the students get a hands-on experience.

Lynch, D. (n.d.). Near-Earth Asteroids. Retrieved January 30, 2015, from http://geology.com/articles/near-earth-asteroids.shtml

This source provides detailed information about comets. While I do not believe that “.com” sites are useful sources, this source is very informational. This will help me get a good idea of the different subjects that I can talk about for my topic. Also this source helped me to widen my subjects since I had trouble with what exactly I want to talk about to my students. I find this overall to be helpful for my development of my learning plan while also improving my understanding.

Asteroid Introduction. (n.d.). Retrieved January 30, 2015, from http://solarviews.com/eng/asteroid.htm

I selected this source because it provides a very detailed and informational explanation on asteroids, which is one of my three main topics for my capstone. It also gives very in-depth detail on the many known comets that were discovered. I have found this source to be extremely valuable in my teaching for asteroids. While I am not focusing on this topic due to the limited I have to teach the students, it still provides me with enough information to give the general idea of asteroids.

Mentor (Derrick Pitts)

I chose Derrick Pitts to assist me for my capstone because he already knows a great deal of the topics that I will be teaching. I found him to be very helpful as he went over many things that helped me to improve my teaching. He told me about how to get the students to engage more with my topic, which is extremely important for teachers. He also explained why he was interested in my topics, which provided me an idea of how to keep my students interested while I teach. Overall, he provided me with fantastic ideas for me to improve on.

Catism By Brycen Itzko

Posted by Brycen Itzko in English 3 - Pahomov - D on Monday, June 9, 2014 at 2:49 pm

“ I welcome all of you to the Rodents. Our goal is to destroy the evil of the Lolcat cult that has taken over our world. 7 years ago, cats suddenly gain intelligence from pictures of Lolcats. Shortly after, a cult had begun to worship these new self-aware cats and forced all who opposed the cult to make cheeseburgers. When the cats looked at the pictures and saw the pictures of the other cats, they slowly began to learn how to read. This made cats able to read signs and other things. Cats then began to think of themselves as more than just a cat but a higher species. Through the years cats became so self-aware that cats were able to solve math problems and think of ideas that would eventually change the world. Now some people saw this as a sign that cats should rule instead of humans, cats supremacy. Other people saw it has a threat to humans and thought of it as an abomination. Eventually the people who thought cats should rule the world created a cult that would in time become a religion. The religion spread faster than wildfire and soon more than three - fourths of world’s population was converted. The small portion of humans that went against this religion moved to Russia in order to escape the religion. There was peace for a time until a human killed a cat with his car. This started what was know as the Cat Fights and these wars lasted for several months due to many of the cats dying from the cold.

The war seemed to be on the humans side until the cats decided that enough was enough. The cats fired three nuclear missiles at Russia. Since Russia already had several nuclear weapons there, the explosion turned Russia into a no man’s land. The remaining human population fled to a secure location in France but had to stay hidden from the Cats. the religion  adopted a new named and called themselves Catism. The Catismist forced the other humans to make cheeseburgers for them. The remaining human population in France created a rebellion against Catism. “

“This is where we stand today”, said Swiss.

This is where I come in, my name’s Bobby Lue and I am one of the newest recruits of Rodents. I born into the cheeseburger slavery and was separated from my parents at the age of 5. I worked the cheeseburger factories until I was 14. I was losing hope until Rodents came in and raided the factory. They found me and recruited me on the spot to join the cause. I went through 3 months of training before I was officially deemed a recruit. It was a hard 3 months, but at the end of it I was able to overcome any obstacle that was put in front of me.  Now I am here with my friend Possum who looks very nervous but anxious at the same time. Possum has been with me since I could remember, the factory workers found him as a baby laying in a cart of buns. Since no one could claim him as their own, he was put to work and name Possum since he looked dead when they first saw him. Now we both made it through the training and stand here in front of our leader Swiss who has just reached the end of his speech.

“Oh, I almost forgot, there will be an special mission tomorrow and the goal of this mission is to capture a cat alive”, Swiss said.

History Journal #1 & 16

#1
Why is the world such an unequal place?

I believe that the reason why the world is such an unequal place, is because of the economies. There are different kinds of money that are worth way more than others.
The best way to adress global inequality, is to first fix the economy, because many countries' economies crashed. and left many people unemployed and homeless. Racism can also be reduced in order to make global inequality more equal.

#16
Does art cause people to think certain ways or does art show people how to think?

I believe that art does cause people to think certain ways, because art changes you to think in a whole new perceptive. You must change your expectations and go deeper into the art to fully understand it. Books like "Their Eyes Were Watching God" are great examples of literature art that changes the way you read, and think about the art.                That's why I believe that art does cause people to think certain ways.

Brycen's Q3 Benchmark Reflection

Posted by Brycen Itzko in Geometry - Thompson on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 1:57 pm
This project relates to the real world in architects as they design and create the buildings. We have used similar methods of finding measurements in buildings that architects uses. We have created a scale version of our buildings to get a better accuracy in determining the measurements of the buildings we were assigned to just like architects do when they need to make a blueprint of a building.

The most exciting part of this project for me, was drawing the scale model of our block, because I have already had the measurements for the building, so It was much easier for me to create my scale building. The least exciting part of the project, was when we were measuring our buildings, because it was really cold outside and I didn't get enough time to get my measurements so I had to take time after school to finish it.

I learned how to measure buildings using the several methods such as the stick method. It was really interesting to learn how to accurately measure buildings without the need of having a bunch of tools. I have also learned that you have to be very precise when you are using any of the methods, as I got a measurement of 10 feet using the mirror method when the building was actually around 30 feet.

Language Autobiography 2013: Shielded

Posted by Brycen Itzko in English 2 - Block on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 12:53 pm
In this unit, we had learned how language is one of your main identities besides race. Our class had read several essays relating to language identity in people's lives. This benchmark was to write about a time in your life where your language affected a big part of your identity. I have learned a deeper understanding of how I reacted to words that I was shielded from.

Shielded

Communication can be very complicated. Especially when you are shielded from the harmful parts of languages during your early years and then having that shield break, which causes those harmful words to be able to reach your ears. This causes many curious kids to be exposed to a world of offensive language that they have no clue that it is actually offensive.

I remember when I was in third grade sitting with other third graders while my teacher was teaching us how to do addition when I noticed how my middle finger felt uncomfortable from all the writing we did, so I moved my middle finger upwards and the other fingers back into a fist-state and pressed my middle finger onto the table. I did a few “push-ups” with the finger before one of the girls turned around and saw it. I looked at her with a slightly laughing “what” expression, her expression was different. She looked surprised. That’s when she said to me “Ooooo! I am telling the teacher!”. I didn’t understand, what was wrong about having only my middle finger up? She got up and ran to the teacher, telling about what I did. I got up and walked to the teacher, still thinking about how is it wrong, when I then proceeded to ask why it is wrong to have your middle finger up. "Well, the middle finger is like saying a bad word to someone, so never have it up or you can hurt someone's feelings." She said it nicely, knowing that I never knew that I could offend someone with my middle finger.

Looking back on this event, I believe that my parents shielded me heavily from offensive words. That girl who told on me probably used her middle finger often until someone told her that it could hurt other's feelings. I always think that her parents didn't shield her from  offensive language as much as I parents did as she knew about it when I didn't. She must had begun to use these offensive words when she heard of it, not thinking about what it actually means to others. I can understand how parents don't want their children to learn any offensive words, so they try to hide them from this type of world. But I think that’s a bad idea, because sooner or later, they will learn these words and use them unaware of the meaning behind it. Rather than shielding children entirely from these words, we should teach them about the words before they learn of it from other sources, because if we teach them about it, then they will be prepared and know what to do when they hear it because they will know what it means.

There was a time in fifth grade where I learned how bad the consequences of saying an offensive word could be. I was outside waiting in line for our teachers to take us in one day, and I turned around to talk to another student in my class. He was a white Russian kid,  slightly taller than me, he cursed every now and then. Before I got a chance to talk to him, another student began to yell at him about something. I didn’t want to get involved as they look liked that were about to fight. A few second later, the russian student pointed at the other student aggressively and said “Fuck you!” I thought that he could have done that better, so I thought showing him a better way would be a great idea. I went to him and said “Let me show you how you could have done that better.” I then proceeded to put on an aggressive expression, pointed my finger out with a fast aggressive force, turned to my right and said "Fuck you!". It sounded pretty brutal to me, I even felt proud about it.

I realized who I manage to point to out of everyone, my mom. My mom had a very mad look and was coming towards me . "I'm dead" I said quietly. When she was a few inches away from me, she said "When you get home, dad is going to beat your ass like no tomorrow." She didn't yell it, but said it with anger.

This is the first moment in my life where I realized that the offensive word I had said came with great consequences. A quote that I had found while reading a story, called “Aria” by Richard Rodriguez, made me think deeper into this event of my life. The quote was “ I was a listening child...” (13). This quote made me feel that I was also “a listening child”, because I would always try to hear what people said around me. I heard words like “fuck” being used often in these conversations, so I thought words like “fuck” were ok to say. The environment that I was in exposed me to such words, but my parents never told me that the offensive words I heard were  actually offensive.

Pipeline Monologue Project

Posted by Brycen Itzko in World History - Block on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 8:00 pm

For the 1st quarter, our class was given the Pipeline Monologue Project as our benchmark. For the Project, we had to create several monologues relating to the Keystone XL Pipeline. It could be from any point of view, having to show information about the pipeline and if the main character is for or against it. They each have to have a different personality from each other. There also must be at least one video
At first, I had trouble writing the monologues, mainly the first one, because I didn't know how to make the readers interested in it. But I have learn how to fix that issue, and revised on my monologues so that they are better quality. My acting in my video isn't the best, but it's still good.I hope you enjoy reading my monologues.

Monologue Number One: Paranoid

(Bobby Lue is in his cubicle and is already paranoid with his work)
Well, I finished all my work, or did I? I just can’t remember!
(panics)
Maybe it’s in my email! Or is it? I just don’t know, but I need to check now!
(Turns on the computer, with foot tapping faster each second while also getting more paranoid)
Come on!
(Stop tapping foot)
Can this computer start up any faster, because I really need my work now! Oh man, if I don’t get this work done, I will lose my job; can’t let that happen!
(Takes several deep breath)
I Can't worry, need to keep clam. I already panic last week when I was missing work. Let’s not do the same think again.
(His boss comes; Bobby Lue looks at his boss with some worry)
Oh, hey Mr.Kenny. My name is Bobby Lue, don't you remember? Oh, you do know. Sorry, my memory is not that great. What was I doing a minute ago? Well, I started to get paranoid about my work, then I kind of started to panic. But I will make sure that it won’t happen again.
(Turns to look at computer monitor, and looks back at Mr.Kenny)
Oh, it's ready! Well, I should start working now, need to make sure that I have complete all my work. I don’t want to have any missing work like last time.
(Turns back to computer, and Mr.Kenny leaves)
Ok, let’s look on my email. Hopefully the work I need to get done is there.
(Clicks a few times, until noticing an article on the homepage)
What’s this? The  Keystone XL Pipeline will cause serious health and safety problems? Never heard about the Keystone XL Pipe before. Guess I could read more before I check my email.
(Feeling a bit more worried, he continues to click the article to learn more. Reading out loud in a slow pace)
The Keystone XL Pipeline will be the longest oil pipe ever built, reaching from Canada, all the way to Texas. The pipeline will be able to transport over 500,000 barrels a day, solving the problem for the high demands for oil.
(Talking to self, sounding confused)
It really doesn’t seem to be that bad; looks like a great idea. Then why do they say that it’s so dangerous?
But, the pipeline, if built, will create huge problems for the environment and human health.
(Stops reading, noticing that his nearby workers can hear him)
I’m way too loud reading this. I’m better off reading the rest of this is my head.
(Reads in head for a few seconds, growing more paranoid, then stops)
What! That’s unsafe! What would happen if a leak would happen? People will die, that’s what will happen! I can’t just let this pipeline be built, there’s already enough people dying in the world!
(Looks to right and sees his boss again; taking a deep breath)
Crap! He must have heard me. I better get back to my work. I can read more about it later at home. Why do I have to get so paranoid often? Oh well, just focus on the work.
(Looks back at computer and starts his work)
(End)

Copy and paste this to see the video:

Monologue Number Two: Protest at DC

(It’s evening, and Officer Martin is in front of the White House, holding a megaphone in front of angry protesters along with several other officers. Officer Martin is standing with an intimidated  posture; having a serious tone of voice along with the look on his face)
Hay Officer Smith!
(Looks at Officer Smith)
Do you have have more of those energy drinks? This might be another all-nighter job. I never seen this much protesters in front of the White House before.
(Lifts up the megaphone to his mouth, faces the protesters and begins talking)
Due to your protesting, you have created many noise complaints, causing citizens’ work to be disrupted. Therefore you have two minutes to pick up your things, and leave! Otherwise you will be arrested and lock up in prison.
(The protesters do not move, only being louder. Officer Martin Puts megaphone down and looks towards the other officers)
Looks like the city’s jails are going to be full; they don’t seem to be moving.
(Looks toward the protesters for a few seconds, noticing the signs they are holding, then looks back at officers again)
All of this protesting appears to be for that pipeline. It will “Destroy the environment” from what I’m seeing right now. I do know a decent amount about the Keystone XL Pipeline, some good things and some bad things. What do you think about it Officer James?
(Waits for Officer James’ response, then talks after he finishes)
It seems that you know your facts about the pipeline. To be honest, i’m not sure to be for or against it, as it could really help the economy and meet oil demands; at the cost of having big impacts that will harm the environment. I just don’t really want to be involved with this, as my job is already a pain enough today.
(Checks watch)
Well, seems that the two minutes are up. I’m surprised that none of them left. They must really not want that pipeline to be built.
(Raises megaphone towards protesters and starts shouting)
Two minutes had passed, and you have still not left the area! Therefore, you will all be arrested!
(Puts megaphone down, and starts walking down the steps with his handcuffs in his hands)
Well, this is going to be a long day.
(End)

Monologue Number Three: The Headline

(Dave Thomas is slim, positive person with a loud and clear voice. His job is to write headlines for the New York Times. Scene starts with him opening the front door to a building)
Hay boys! Have you seen the boss? You have? Where? In his office, thanks!
(Starts walking towards the office, but then stops shortly after)
Why do I need to see him? Rick, I have found the perfect headline for the New York Times. It’s not about the New York Giants beating the Eagles, that was heck of a great game though. It’s about the Keystone XL Pipeline they are planning to build. Tons of protesters in front of the White House, and I mean tons! That pipeline, if it’s built, will reach from Canada all the way to Texas. That pipe will be used to transport over half a million barrels of oil each day.
(Waits for a few seconds for Rick to finish talking, nodding head)
Well, you see, these protesters have one simple goal, to prevent that Pipeline from being built in any way possible, non-violently. They have Organizations helping them too. They say that it will ruin the environment faster than we can fix. There’s not one day this month where I hear arguments for and against it.
(Waits for a few seconds once more for Rick to finish talking, nodding head)
I’ll be honest to you Rick, I’m for that pipeline! Why you say? Because we are using way too much oil than we are making. Just look at the traffic outside, not for one minute will that highway outside be clear of cars, ever! We need oil now more than ever!
(Looks at his watch)
Well, that killed some time.
(Looks back up to Rick)
Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to show the boss the perfect headline I found.
(Starts walking towards the door to the office)
I’ll be glad to talk to you more about it later. In the meantime, wish me luck!
(Opens door to office, walks in, and then closes off stage for 30 seconds. Hand gestures can be seen through the window. He then walks out the door, noticing Rick and talks to him again, feeling slightly disappointed)
Oh Rick, about that conversation with the boss, seems that he’s all for that pipeline being built; doesn’t want my headline to create more protesters. I can’t let that stop me from getting the word out! I’ll just have to find a way. Anyway, lets go have that conversation I promised.
(Walking and exits out of front door with Rick)
(End)

Facts and Bibliography:

*Tar sands oil extraction and production emits three times more carbon dioxide than average from production of conventional oil consumed in the United States.

Descriptive Essay: One Missing Detail

Posted by Brycen Itzko in English 2 - Block on Friday, September 28, 2012 at 9:06 am

I was just standing there, waiting in line at the school’s office with a nervous expression on my face, wondering what highschool had accept me. I already was worried enough about the chance that I wouldn’t get accepted to the high school that I wanted to go to, due to the fact I knew that over hundreds of middle school students apply, but there’s only room for 120 students. Thinking back to how well I did with the interview at the school, I believe that my chances to getting in were good. With that, I look at some of my friends who told me they got into NorthEast High School, which wasn’t a great high school, but NorthEast have to pick you if you didn’t get accepted into any other high school.

Slowly, the line went in and out of the office until I was next. I felt pressure built up in me, feeling like a nuclear meltdown. Upon walking towards the middle-aged lady, she greeted me, and with that was told to sit down in which I did.

"You're Brycen Itzko, correct?"
"Yes I am." I said nervously.
"Ok, let me the information for what schools have accept you."

Just watching her type on the keyboard made me tense with each keystroke she did.

"Are you ready to hear what you been accept to Brycen?"

The word yes came out slowly from my mouth, feeling as if everything was in slow motion.

“You have been accept to Northeast High School, and Science Leadership Academy.”

Hearing the words “Science Leadership Academy” emptied out all the tension from my system, replacing it with happiness and pride; even my nervous expression on my face turned into joy.

As I am walking out of the office and back to my class on the third floor, I started thinking about the other students. Many of them didn’t like or enjoy school; could care less to which high school they have to go to. To be honest, I didn’t enjoy school too much and struggled often to get my work done, but I still managed to work hard enough in school to get great grades. I knew some of my friends who got accepted to the high school they wanted to go to.
Many of the teachers I had congratulated me, being the only one from my school to be accepted to such a unique school. When I went home my parents were also proud of me, which I was not surprised due to the fact it was very hard to get into that school with hundreds of other students applying for it. The rest of the school weeks went by quick, so did the 8th grade graduation. It was not until a few weeks after school had officially ended for the once 8th grade students when we talked more details about the school.
I was just grabbing something to eat, when my mom asked me a question that would continue to worry me.
“Brycen, do you know you how you are going to school?” I turn my head quickly towards her face, saying “Not really.”
“Well, I can’t drive you there because it takes too long to get there and drive back to get the kids to school, so you need to take a train to get there.”
We talked for a while, she tried to get me to go to the high school near our house because she was afraid I would get lost. I didn’t bother figuring out how I will get there, as playing my games felt more important. With each day passing, I got nervous, worried, and started to panic when she talked about anything related to how I was going to get there. I should had figured out how to get there myself, but I never did, which only cause more of my body to sweat thinking about it. I felt like I regretted picking SLA, as just that word with “transportation” started to cause me pain and tears.
When school was starting soon, I felt like dying, as it was too late to change to the one near our home, and I didn’t know what to expect taking a train there. But my pop said he would go with me to school for the first few days. I felt my troubles mostly vanished from my body just from hearing that. When it was now time for school, he went with me on the train and showed me how to get there. It was more simple getting there than I expected, as it was just a straight way process of taking the train, and walking there.
I never thought how just taking 5 minutes to figure how to get there could have prevented all of the worry and panic I had. Not being able to attend SLA was my biggest fear however, getting the chance to fully understand what going there meant took time and patience. As an incoming freshman to a very unique school, I felt honored and thrilled to be able to spend my next four years. I am glad that I came to this school, and to now know that not learning one simple thing could greatly affect you.

In this topic, you will learn how to tell the weather in Spanish. If your going to Mexico, and you need to know what to wear, then you would have to know your weather in Spanish. For example, if today in Mexico was very cold and it was snowing, your would say “Hace mucho frío y está nevando.”

What time is it?

Posted by Brycen Itzko in Spanish 1 - Manuel on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at 7:45 pm

This topic will teach about how to tell time, and how to ask the time in Spanish. Why do you need to learn this? Because, lets say for example, that you are heading home to your family, but the time for your flight is in Spanish. So, you would need to how to tell time in Spanish if you are going to catch your plane in time. From 2:00 to 12:00, you would say “Son Las….” Then the time. For 1:00, you say “Es la una”.

How to say proper greetings en Spanish

Posted by Brycen Itzko in Spanish 1 - Manuel on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 1:13 pm

The first thing you need know before you can speak Spanish is how to say your greetings. You can’t just talk to someone in Spanish unless you know your greetings! This is why I wrote this topic. The first thing you need to know is how to say hello, and Good morning/afternoon/evening, in Spanish. Then, you will learn to say, “how are you?” to someone, and how to reply back. Lastly, you will learn how to say your goodbyes in Spanish.
