SLA Q1 report card conferences with students, families and Advisors will be held virtually on Monday, 11/23 and Tuesday, 11/24. Families should consult with their child’s Advisor(s) to discuss conference times on one of those dates.

Welcome back from winter break and happy 2020! With the juniors returning to 440 full-time, we are making the following changes to room assignments:
• All classes with Mr. Enzweiler will be held in Auxiliary room A (including Astronomy and Advisory)
• All classes with Mr. Block will be held in Auxiliary room B (Advisory will still meet in the cafe)
• All classes with Mr. Clapper will be held in Auxiliary room C (Advisory will still meet in the cafe)
• All classes with Ms. Martin will be held in Auxiliary room D (including Advisory)
• Mr. Grzywinski’s senior English classes will relocate as follows: B band to Auxiliary room D & C band to Auxiliary room A (all others remain the same)
• Mr. Symonds’ C, E and X bands will relocate as follows: C band to Auxiliary room B, E band to room 1078 & X band to Auxiliary room B (all others remain the same)
• Mr. Hernández’s Advisory will be held in Auxiliary room B

Here is our 1st day of school schedule, Advisory locations, and a list of temporary classroom changes to use in conjunction with printed rosters.

All incoming 9th graders will have the opportunity to sign up for sports on noon following the end of Summer Institute on 8/24. More details on other pre-season activities can be found below.

Returning Student Tryouts: Tuesday, Aug. 15th, 3:30-6:00pm @ Lloyd Hall, 1 Boathouse Row. 9th Grade Tryouts: Wednesday, Aug. 23rd, 3:30-6:00pm @ Lloyd Hall, 1 Boathouse Row
All students must bring required sports physical paperwork, knee pads and plenty of water to tryouts and conditioning. Conditioning runs from 3:30-6:00pm every day until the regular season begins.

Pre-season practices begin on Monday, Aug. 14th, from 5:00-6:30pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays until school starts. Runners should meet at SLA.
All students must bring required sports physical paperwork and should wear comfortable clothes and running shoes.

Pre-season practices and tryouts are on Monday, Aug. 21st and Wednesday, Aug 23rd at 4:00pm and also on Friday, Aug. 25th at 10:00am. Practices are held at the Lee Rec. Center located at 44th Street and Haverford Avenue.
