I have many devices on my L.A.N. I have devices such as printers, phones, monitors, and gaming consoles. I learned a lot of information on networks. I, myself am not technologically savvy so, I got a lot of useful information from this. I had no clue that so many of my devices were connected to two things, a modem and router. Another thing that I learned was that the internet is the base of everything, network related. The thing I would tell people about having an I.S.P./Home Network is that the system is much more complex that you think. My view on the internet and how it work was nothing compared to what it actually was. 

For everyone who wants to know how to speak some spanish here is a guide to helping you ask questions about the months and answer them all in spanish

One way I memorized this is part of a song (I think). It goes like this.

Enero, febrero, marzo y abril
Mayo, junio y julio estàn aquie
agosto y septiembre
octubre y noviembre 
Su nombre es diciembre

It's very helpful when you forget how to prononce the months (which I do a lot). Anyway I hope this is helpful.

1) I use my laptop and phone to connect to the internet. 
2)I learned about how the actual internet connects, and that it is more than just my router. I never even cared or payed attention about how things that I use daily actual work. The main thing that I learned and found interests in was my ISP, which is connected with comcast.  
3)I would tell them that even if it IS expensive to have a home network, it does help a lot. But when you do get home network, you have to make sure that all your wires are plugged in and connected in the right places.

My LAN is consisted of three iPhones, three laptops, a Wii, and a Blu-Ray player. I didn't learn much that is new, because I knew a lot about networks beforehand. If you want to set up a network, make sure your router both has an ethernet out and a wireless broadcaster. The ethernet is faster than the Wi•Fi, but it's a cord and needs to be wired to each computer. For computers on the same floor as the router, ethernet would be helpful.

When you are in a new and strange environment and your'e pressed for time it can be difficult. In this lesson you will learn on how to ask what time it is  and how to know what someone's response would be. The chart below has been made so that you can try to learn how to say the times in Spanish. (note: when you say menos cuatro you must say the hour that is after the time, EX: 5:45= Son las seis menos cuatro). Below is a video demonstrating a real life situation of a student in a new school asking when to change times.

Below is a video on how two friends ask each other when there birthday is so they will  know when they should get them a a present. 

The difference between tú and usted is that Tú is informal (for talking to your friends) and Usted is formal (for talking to an adult). 

- the way you use the words can change the whole meaning of the sentence

• you dont always have to say tú or usted after you ask a question
• you only have to say it when the word is not in parenthesis

This picture explains the months. Just double check your spelling for the months, and the accents.
Also, a very important rule for las mesas: Make sure you don't capitalize any of the letters in the month's names.

For example:
May = mayo
June = junio

See? NO capitals!!

Other than that just have fun and memorize your months!

​When being polite in spanish, there are a lot of things to remember
There are three ways to say excuse me in Español: Disculpe, perdon, and con permiso. They all mean different things, as well. 
There are three ways to say thank you: Gracías, muchas gracías, and muy amable gracías. 
Finally, there are three ways to say you're welcome: De nada, por nada, and no hay de qué

  My Internet service provider is comcast. My modem is connected to comcast and then my router. There are many electronic devices connected to my router. I have laptops, phones, and television connected to it. I also have a airport express connected from the router and that connects my printer. 

   Something that I learned was if a document, picture, video, etc. leaves your hard drive, it is no longer yours. Also, I found out that something that you post on a website or somewhere on the internet can be taken offensively. That happens at times because you can't see that they're joking around or one could just interpret it in a different way than you meant to say. 

    I would tell other people that they should know more about how the internet works and as well as information about the ISP. Also, it is quite expensive so I would warn them to choose the right price amount to not to be so worried about the price.

I have a TV, multiple laptops, multiple phones, multiple ipads, multiple ipods, Printer, and a Xbox 360 . I learned that networks are much more complicated than most people think. There is much more work and process that goes on to give us our internet. I feel networks are more boring and confusing after learning all of this. If I were to tell someone something important about having a home network would tell people that it costs money but its very important so its worth the cash.

Imagine you are taking a trip to a Spanish speaking country, and you trying to figure out what to wear. But you can not understand what the weather person is saying. If you are trying to figure how to say simple weather then look at the chart below:

This video will be showing a girl in Mexico meeting one of her professors for the first time. She asks some questions using Udsted. 

I get my internet through cable, which uses wires to connetto peoples homes. The devices in my household that are connected to the internet are the family Nintendo Wii, and P.C. My parents i-phones, and my cell phone are connected to the internet. My dad's, and my laptop a connected, along with my  i-pod touch. 

I didn't really know about how internet connection worked until know. I didn't know that it worked in multipal ways. i learned about modems and I.S.Ps. I learned more about how the internet works. I would tell how an I.S.P home network works to people who needed to know because it is important. I would explain how internet connection works.

On my local network I have the internet provided by Comcast then my iPhone, my mac, and two dells. Off of my dells we have our television and speakers. When I finally figured out what the network was and how everything connected it was a very happy moment. I felt extremely smart, people had been talking about things that I had never heard about when when I finally got it I felt smart. You should be careful about how much you have hooked up because it will slow down your internet speed. 

Polite, August, home network



-This is a diagram of my L.A.N. network (local area network) is provided by verizon, but not FIOS. The internet signal is channeled through my router and my wireless apple airport extreme. From there it is broadcasted to the rest of my computers including our main Imac. The Imac has a port mapping software on it that can direct data from the minecraft server  to other people. 

​ My home network is made up of a combination modem and router which connects through an ethernet cable to my airport express, my TV, and my desktop. The Airport Express connects to three laptops, my Nintendo Wii, and an Ipad.
I use Xfinity Wireless. It costs me approximately $800 a year.
I learned about how networks work. I learned that only a small amount of information can pass through the firewall, so multiple copies are sent out. I now know how to examine and organize a home network. The OMG moment I had was when I learned that the internet was being designed as early as the fifties.
When learning about the home network, people need to understand what a service provider is, what routers and modems are, and how the internet works.

​Monologue #1: Teenage highschool student.
Finally after all these years of searching and searching for oil on american lands, we found it.
This could be the greatest discovery, or it could be the worst.
There’s many things this could bring to our country.
Both positive and negative.
American jobs, american oil, and american money
It all sounds so sweet and wonderful.
But then you have to think about all of the risks.
What if, the pipeline has a leak
What if, it covers the entire east coast in a greasy slime killing all of our plant life and animals
What if, there's an oil spill worse than the gulf of mexico.
What if, the giant lakes of waste leak into our drinking water. What if.
In some aspects I can understand why people think it’s such a good idea, and in others I am totally against everything they stand for.
The whole american land, american money part i'm totally down for.
But the environmental damage that it's going to cause i'm not too excited about.
Ninety percent of the water used for this pipeline is going to turn into toxic sludge that is going to be stored in giant ponds around the country potentially damaging our drinking water.
So before you go and encourage this pipeline, think about the harm that it could do to our environment first.


Monologue #2 The ocean
I’m so scared, I don’t know how to feel. They say this pipeline is gonna be a good thing, but how can I trust any pipeline after what happened down the gulf of mexico a year or two ago. That spill caused me to lose tons of my children, and to think that this could possibly happen again if this pipeline is put in completely and utterly terrifies me. I mean they say that it’s safe and with all the money they’re putting into it there’s no possible way that it could even leak, crack, or break for at least a century. But when your children are at risk you have to be especially cautious.

Monologue #3 Man living in the territory of the pipeline
Hello all. My name is John Damien and I live in Lincoln Nebraska. I’ve lived here for all 48 years of my life. I have a wife, two young daughters, and a baby boy on the way. Just last week I received a letter in the mail stating that my family and I have 6 months to evacuate from our land. Said they’re buildin’ some type of pipeline that transport oils all the way from Canada down to Texas. What I care bout some stupid pipeline? This is my home, my land, my life. From the brief bit of research i've done on the pipeline it seems quite harmful to the environment. God I beg you to please not let the president pass this and potentially harm my life, job, and kids childhood.
