For my senior year capstone, I decided to create a frisbee launcher in hopes of benefiting the Ultimate Frisbee community. The purpose of this was to combine two of my favorite hobbies, Ultimate Frisbee and Engineering, incorporating it into something special. My initial thought when coming up with this idea was having some type of machine that could be your throwing partner for frisbee. Not everyone knows how to throw a frisbee efficiently right off the bat, so I wanted to make a machine that they can operate, all they have to do is insert a disc. The physics of frisbee is really interesting and there is a technique to throwing it. When going into building, I had to follow the basic engineering process which includes many different designs and ideas of how I could launch a disc. Once I decided which method would be best, I had to learn how to mount a wheel onto a cim motor. In the progress in learning how to do this I came by many difficulties because there were all kind wheels and there is a certain way to mount a wheel. Once I was finally able to have a running motor with a wheel on it, then came the structure. While making the structure, I had to run many tests and make many tweaks. After that, I was able to launch a frisbee a decent distance. In a frisbee term, it would be call a passing distance making my capstone to be a success.

A few years ago there was a robotics competition that requires launching a frisbee. This site shows one of the designs a team approach in order to make a robot that can shoot a frisbee.

Reconstruction of Memory: Jason Chen

Bad luck, again. It came out of nowhere, I think it was just a small bump, it was nothing to worry about. But the doctor said otherwise. The words came out of his mouth, benign tumor and surgery. Thoughts came rushing through my head. I remember thinking of that day, running down the field as fast as I can go to catch the disc. But to avoid hurting a freshman I jumped to the side, messed up the footing as I landed and there I was in agony on the ground with turf in my mouth. All I could think about was the pain. I couldn’t move a single part of my body because the shock was too great. To this day I don’t even remember clearly how it happened. What side of my foot did I land on? It happened quickly, too quickly. And there I was unable to walk, and my ankle looked like a inflated balloon.

I couldn’t remember the number of doctor’s visits I had, but I do recall many doctors telling me that it’s most likely just a sprain. Just a sprain? That’s a minor injury I believed. But of course that was just a opinion, the MRI results clearly said otherwise. With the next visit, the doctor that was going to perform my surgery came into the room with a big fat smile that it almost scared me. He told me that I fracture my fibula and dislocated my peroneal tendon. Surgery was required to put my tendon back in place. I wanted to be able to walk, run and live a normal life so I had to get this surgery. With countless tug of wars to try convincing my mother to do the surgery, There I was being prepped to be taken into the OR. My memories are blurry to this day, but I remember the surgical assistant talk to me as I watched the anesthesia slowly drop down the IV into me and my eyes slowly give out. I woke up feeling like all my insides wanted to come flying out of my mouth. It was painful, but I did it and it was over with. But here I am sitting in another room being told I have a benign tumor. I needed another surgery to remove it, and there I was sitting in the hospital with a tube in my neck.

Author's Note

In my reconstruction of a memory I tried to use the techniques that Margaret Atwood and Ken Kesey has used. The small section that we analyzed from Atwood had questions that was brought up to show that the memory wasn't clear. It made it more realistic because the memory actually was not clear. And the technique I took from Kesey is how the scene was something being remembered and how something triggered that memory. For this, it was based on a person experience and what triggered that memory was having a surgery for a second time.

Advanced Essay #3: Unconscious Idenity

​Introduction:
My goal for this paper was to digged deeper into identity with how it is interpreted and relate it to everyday lives. Something I would like to improve more on is adding more quote. Overall, I'm proud of completing this paper because I feel like Identity is a strong topic.

Essay:

Identity is defined as the fact of being who or what a person or thing is according to the Dictionary. But, there is more to Identity than just its definition. This word can be interpreted in many ways, such as your very own identity, how you look at other people’s identity, what identity you take on, or how your identity isn’t sometimes decided for you. With all of these types of ways this word is interpreted has its own very meaning to it. But most important society plays a huge role as it shapes people’s identity. Society has its way of persuading people to be a certain way, and it can be presented in things such as media.

Think about when you first started to question things. Question things such as why people act a certain way? What makes a person look another way? How to act a way where you fit the social standards. Typically we’re all born into the world as a baby and when you are you’re given an identity. It could be your name, date of birth, skin color, and more. But as a baby or a kid, they grow up copying or taking in what others do. You can say they take on other identities unconsciously. And this new identity could potentially become something you like to do. But no one really explores their identity, or embrace it, not when you’re a baby. Not until that day comes, until you encounter something that will make you start to question things. This first experience can be anything. It can be your first day at school, first time encountering racism, first time introduced to a culture, or even when you first have to put your big boy/girl pants on.

I remember my very first time I started to think more about the world. It was my first time going into the outside worlds, typically I always played around in the house with family. I never really explore or adventure into the outside world yet. But when it was time, my mother told me to not hang out with a certain group of kids and I always wonder why. As I start to think about it more and see these group of kids, I started to see why my mother told me that. It became a part of my identity of how I view these people. Experience after experience I started to avoid them, but I soon realize that not everyone's the same. They all have their unique identity which makes everyone different. I realize that not everyone would act like the way they do, but I only saw it that way because my parents influence the idea of me.

Identity may be acquired indirectly from parents, peers, role models, and even the media. Children come to define themselves by what surrounds them. This can be how their parents see them. If their parents see them in a negative way, they will come to define themselves as a negative person. And generally, negative words tend to stick more than positive words. Children can also define themselves by the media, in today's society technology has become a thing, mainly for children. “Media plays an influential role in shaping how we think about and enact race in our everything lives” according to the Critical media project. To me this is mainly for children, for someone who is attached to media will start to change. Media is filled with different aspects of identity that can influence someone to dress or act a certain way. It is mainly filled with social norms, which can have an immediate effect on one’s perceptions of social reality.

This is a world where we will continue to advance forward, ask new questions, and discover new things. For Identity it is never “final,” and it will continue to develop throughout your lifespan. Anyone can change, and it can be based on factors like where you live, who you hang out with, and your experience with the outside world. People are changing their identity by the everyday thing they do. Everyone is unconscious changing and shaping their identity because of how society set standards. But people should start to understand Identity as a conscious thing, we should be able to make choices ourselves rather than let society make our identity. It is only a benefit to recognize what to happening or changing your identity.

Advanced Essay #2 Chinlish

Introduction
Overall my goal of this essay is to show that a lot of people don't speak a perfect language but instead speak it in their own way. A way that makes them most comfortable. I am proud to be able to rewrite my whole essay and turn it into something special. And I feel like I can improve on the analytical part of the essay.

Advanced Essay

Generally, everyone learned their first word from their family. As I grew up learning English and Chinese, I remembered those days when I would run into people where I have a hard time speaking to in Chinese because of how I grew up learning it. One day, my mother was speaking to me about my Chinese. About how I only knew so little of it, and it was true.

Feeling helpless, my mother said jokingly, “You’re so useless, you can’t even speak Chinese that properly and if I were to ever take you to China you would be so lost.”

I never attended  Chinese school like the other kids did. So I didn’t expect myself to speak the “Chinese” like they do. Technically I did go to Chinese school for a year, but stopped, and it was terrible, I learned absolutely nothing. It’s like when you were in preschool and all you do is draw and run around and have fun. My parents would’ve taken me to Chinese school if they had the time to, and they didn’t, which is why I could only learn so much from my parents. When I started to learn English, I started to mix my Chinese with my English, so the words in Chinese I didn’t know would be substituted in English. I guess I can call it Chinlish. This was generally a family thing, I did it to most of my family and my siblings does too, except for the ones that didn’t understand English at all.

The way I speak with my families and close one are a lot different than how I would talk to another person in chinese. In Mother Tongue, Amy Tan points out how the way she speaks English and what that English they used has become: “It has become our language of intimacy, a different sort of English that relates to family talk, the language I grew up with” (Tan, 1). In the way I speak Chinese to my family is typically another way of how I speak to my family. Just like in Mother Tongue, Tan can say her mother speaks broken English. And in my case, I can say I speak “broken Chinese,” or Chinlish(Chinese and English together). This is what you can consider a type of literacy, the different forms of languages you take on and if you dig a little deeper how you use these languages in a way you feel most comfortable. When I run into a Chinese person that doesn’t speak English, I would feel uncomfortable because I have to speak in a way I’m not used to or I’ll not know what to say. Which will make the person I’m talking to think I’m stupid or uneducated.

   In a place like China, people would expect you to speak and understand Chinese fully. And there are three languages that fall into the category of Chinese which is Mandarin, Cantonese, Fuzhounese. My parents knows how to speak all three, I only know a few words in each languages mainly the words my parents often used, which are pretty much consider foul words. But besides that, the language I grew up with I can barely speak one without throwing an english words in. So if I were to go to China one day, I would run into a lot of trouble and probably be considered out of place.

When I look at languages throughout the world I can see similar situations happening. A good example is Amy Tran in Mother Tongue, she has a similar situation but with english. It’s how she has a way of speaking english to her close ones. In anyone's case it all depends on what circumstances you are under. Everyone talks different in a environment they are in, and some talks the same too.

Overall, the way I speak Chinese will always be fine throughout my family, but I constantly have have to speak a certain way in the environment I am in. I cannot have a conversation with the way I speak to my family to other people who would not understand what I’m saying. I have to speak the language they are most comfortable with. It’s like how I talk to my friends and how I talk to strangers. Overall people will feel more comfortable with their friends than strangers. I can’t just talk to someone in a different language or way because they’ll just be confused and awkward. So I’ll have to switch the way I speak to where I am, even though it may be difficult, especially in Chinese, I’ll only fail a couple times.


Advanced Essay #1: What's Bad Is Good

The goal of my paper is to show that bad things that happen in life can become benefits or good thing in the future. In my paper, I have things that happened to me while I was little and as I grow up it becomes something that will help me and others. Parts I am proud of is how I added certain stereotypes to my race, and show the truth behind things or how a certain thing came to be. Area for improvement would probably be more reflection throughout the start to the end of the paper.

What's bad Is Good
I remember long ago those days when I would panic because it was a day until my report card conference. I wouldn't consider myself to be the brightest when I was younger. It was my third-grade year, I was heading to my school report conference and my blood was boiling with fear of what my parents would do to me. I had no idea what my grades were but I knew it wasn’t going to be good. I didn’t really find school important. When my parents and I saw my report card, and my heart stopped.
In disbelief, my mother gave me the death stare and stated in Chinese, “You’re not coming home with these grades!” 
I used to beg and cry to my parents for another chance. The same thing would repeat every report card cycle.
I wasn’t really sure how I fit into the stereotype of Asians being nerds. But I knew the Asian grading scale was pretty accurate for me at the time. A for average, B for bad, C for catastrophic, D for disowned, and F for forgotten forever. I was essentially a goofball who only really liked to go to school to play fight my friends and have fun. I hated everything else. I hated the class work, the homework, and especially the tests. I simply ignored the importance of school altogether, but I was still forced into learning. 
Each day school was still like torture to me. It was a day at recess, my friends and I were all running around play fighting. I was usually always the dominant one in those play fights. Some people even said that because I’m Chinese and I know Kung fu, but that isn’t true. We usually have recess with kids many grades higher than us. There was a day where the older kids didn't like the fact I was dominant in one of the play fights with a friend whose skin tone was dark. So they decided to bully me. They would shove me around and call me names like Ching Chong, which made my days at school even worse. At my old school, a lot of people struggle with bullies, especially during the time where bullies were a huge thing.
My only interaction with older kids was the bullies, so I questioned if all the older kids are like that. The only things I knew was that I wasn’t going to do when I get older is stand by and watch as my friends get pushed around by some bully. I never understood why my friend didn't tell them to stop, but I knew there were going to people who are not always going to like me. 
I was soon one of the older kids, my parents started to get more lenient, mainly with the discipline. I figure that was because at a certain age some parents expect you to mature and know what's right or wrong. School started to become way more serious for me because I realized that I’ll be stuck doing this for a while. I knew that I have to go through processes in order to be successful in life. I ended up really enjoying math my 7th and 8th-grade year, even to the point where I would get one hundred on all of my tests. 
This one day, a friend of my asked me, “Why are Asians so good at math?” I told him,“When I was younger, my mom would keep me up all night to make me remember my multiplication. Each time I get it wrong, I would get hit.” There was even a point where my mother tested me and if I get one problem wrong, she threatens of kicking me out the house. My friend had no words! In the end, it benefited me in many ways, such as making me enjoy math.
The bad things that happened to me in the past helped me in some type of way in the future. Around 7th grade, I grew up to be pretty big and tall mainly because my parents stuffed food in me a lot. No one would mess with me because of it. There was a bully who likes to pick on my friends all the time. And I had experience of being bullied, and because of that, I stood up for my friends resulting in getting the bully to back off.
Not everything will go your way in life. There are both good and bad things that will happen. I was always stuck in the moment of the bad things that have happened to me, but soon I realize that bad moments can turn into good moments. Now when I look at life, I wouldn’t consider things to be the end of the world for me. Instead, I look at it as something that can help or benefit me for something in the future. It’s like when you make a mistake, you learn from it and move on to make better things happen.

E2 U6 Orishas: Meymey, Ariana, Christina, Jason

Había muchos bosques que Ochosi tenía un tiempo difícil para llegar a su presa cuando él la buscó. Su flecha nunca perdió la marca, pero no había caminos ni claros, para llegar al animal que había matado, y no tenía ningún alimento. Oggún tenía un problema similar con no poder llegar a su presa. Cada uno fue a Orula para quejarse acerca de su problema, y Orula sugirió que deben hacer una ofrenda por ellos mismos en el bosque. Mientras iban por el bosque, Ogun y Ochosi corrió en uno al otro mientras estaban a punto de hacer una oferta. Luego comenzaron a hablar. Pronto se dieron cuenta de que juntos podían hacer mucho más de lo que cualquiera podría hacer gender. El hermano consolidado sobre sus similitudes y se convirtió en la más estrecha. Ogun habló de cómo aprendió a hacer armas de su padre mientras caminan por el bosque. Ochosi se pensó a sí mismo, ¿quién es mi padre?" What Aggression Can Do

Is there a person you know that is popular? Why are they popular? Is it because they’re attractive, intelligent, kind, or aggressive? Do you ever wonder why or how that person is so popular? All of those traits above have a positive connotation, except for aggression. Aggression is something that anyone can have. Surprisingly, it can make someone more popular, whether their aggression is used as entertainment, or simply to set a standard.  Although aggression is usually seen as a negative trait, it is actually the most important quality for a person who is seeking to gain power.

In chapter eleven of Lord of the Flies, there was a scene with a conflict between the group of boys where it ended up with Ralph and Jack fighting each other. Then, Roger decides to pull something up his sleeve resulting in Piggy’s death, and the conch being smashed to many pieces. “See? See? That’s what you’ll get! I meant that! There isn’t a tribe for you anymore! The conch is gone -”... “I’m Chief” (181). The cause of this was the aggression between the two sides: popular vs. unpopular. Studies done by APA concluded that popular teens or kids seem to be more aggressive compared to their peers. In the beginning, the conch was what lead to Ralph being chief and the most popular. Also, Ralph was pretty aggressive during the beginning of the book, especially towards Piggy. As time passed, Ralph grew to his senses and became more understanding towards Piggy. Jack used that opportunity to become more aggressive towards them both, which ended up to him gaining more power and popularity, leading him to make his own decisions. With Ralph starting to stick up for Piggy and the conch being smashed, he drops in popularity and lost possession of the one thing that could’ve help him in his status. Words like viciously, fiercely, and wildly were used because of the fact that most of Jack's popularity comes from his aggression(181-182). Also his desire to hunt and have fun ends up winning over the boys.

Donald Trump shows a displacement of aggression all throughout his campaigns. He made all kind of statements and comments, but his intentions were clear and bold. Many of his speeches consist of the wildest and craziest ideas, over and over again, especially about building a wall. “I will build a great wall - and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me - and I’ll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will make Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words.” Everyone knows about Donald Trump and his intentions of building a wall. People took this information in many ways, but it all makes him more known, talked about, and overall popular. With his aggression towards making a wall, a lot of people could look at it in different viewpoints. Many jokes were made about this and things just went around. The more they went about it, the more his popularity grew. So with his aggression towards certain things, it will help him in getting power with popularity.

Jack is pretty violent and aggression in many situations. In LOTF, Jack had taken the boys watching and fire and added them into his hunting crew. That ended up in a disaster because they were watching the fire and a ship passed by. Ralph was frustrated, but when Piggy said something Jack beat him up. All Jack really want to do is have fun and hunt. “Jack stood up as he said this, the bloodied knife in his hand. The two boys faced each other. There was the brilliant world of hunting, tactics… Jack transferred the knife to his left hand and smeared blood over his forehead as he pushed down the plastered hair” (71). Even tho being rescued was important, Jack still stuck onto hunting, providing food, and having fun. He was pretty straightforward about it. With this because of Jack’s obsession with hunting and his aggression towards it. It gives him power because the hunters, or kids would look at him with admiration. What he is trying to do is have fun and survival which wins over the kids.

During one of Donald Trump’s speech, he spoke about Mexicans. He talked about what he thinks they are and what they’ll do. This relates to why he suggested we build a wall. It’s mainly to keep out immigrants and most of them are from Mexico which is why he threw flame at the Mexicans. “Mexicans are bringing drugs, they’re bringing criminals, they’re rapists,” said Trump. The aggression he puts towards them is very violent and like bullying. This form of bullying is formed into a  way where people will joke about it. Through research, it’s said that bullying can be a form of popularity. Some people take bullying as a joke or as a source of entertainment which leads to them being popular. So trump being aggressive ended up him being in more position of power.

Overall there are many characteristics that can result in popularity throughout the society. Aggression being one of the characteristics has to lead to people becoming new leaders, like Trump and Jack. Their display of determination and aggression towards a certain goal has won over the people in many different ways. It made these new leaders more popular, known and spoke about. Even tho aggression towards something would usually be concerned as negative, it can be used in many different ways especially for people who want to gain a certain goal or become a leader.

E2U4 Murals -Jason Chen

Soy Jason, vivo en el noreste de Filadelfia. En mi opinión, la comunidad en la que estoy no fue la mejor que he visto. En general, hay días buenos y malos.  Además, en mi comunidad no hay muchos murales o áreas donde se puede observar la expresión artística de alguien. Además, he tengo buenas experiencias y malas experiencias en el noreste de Filadelfia, pero a pesar de eso me siento mejor, por eso quiero hacer un mural diciendo que la comunidad es mejor.
 Por otro lado, necesito elegir un lugar donde poner este mural. Ponerlo en un lugar donde puede ser accesible al público y ayudaría a recibir mi mensaje. Por lo tanto, hay un gran punto cerca de la parada del megabus donde, cuando la gente sale del autobús puede ver este mural. También muchos coches y personas va a pasar por. Quiero ponerlo en esta pared porque es un lugar agradable donde puede ser visto por mucha gente. Ya puedo imaginarlo.
 En general, creo que esta pieza te un gran significado. Es simple y tiene un significado básico. El tema es un poco como la luz. Lo que el mural está tratando de decir es hacer una comunidad mejor haciendo cosas que lo más brillante. También tiene otro significado de lado porque este mural puede influir en otras personas para hacer más murales porque en nuestra comunidad no hay muchos murales que se ve alrededor.

English Monologue -Cripple Struggles

Hey, what’s up. I haven’t seen you in a long time. What?What is it, What you mean, Ohh, this? Heh.Yea It’s a pain in the butt. What do you mean how this happen?


Well, long story short, I was at practice during Ultimate, and while sprinting to block someone I was bouta run into a freshman, and I didn’t want to hurt him so I jump to the side and when I did, I was running extremely fast and when I jumped I had a misstep and I twisted it pretty badly.Man I should’ve just ran him over(jokingly). I’m too nice. But now I been stuck like this for a while now. At, first I didn’t think it was that bad, I just needed to get an Xray to make sure. Then I was told I have a fractured, had an appointment set for them to look into it more and then it turned into also having a dislocated tendon. And then it was recommend I had surgery which turned even more crazy, my mom started freaking out saying nonsense and stuff.


Well, I can’t blame her, she is my mom, and she did have her experience with surgery which went pretty ermmm. But that doesn’t mean the same thing would happen to me. I’m not going want to walk around with a messed up ankle and never run again. I would rather take the surgery and have a normal ankle again which they said I would have if I do it because there was low risk chances. It was all crazy, all my mom did was tell me how it was going to be painful and blah blah. Like I knew what I was going to go through, and I’m willing to do it. But all she did was complain and get on my nerves. After appointments and appointments we decided we was going to do it. My mom was out of options so she couldn’t really avoid the surgery. But I was prepared, I wasn’t planning on throwing my reputation on the team away. And I’m still young I need to stay active yanno? But woooo, that surgery was a pain in the ass after. You can say there was a lot of needles, and then after the surgery It was painful the first few days. Pain meds didn’t really help. I couldn’t really sleep because It would feel like my wound was reopening itself, it would feel like I can feel the stitches pop one by one as it slowly open. Oh boy.Well I was in a split, but after one of my appointments they took it off and put me in a cast.Man you should’ve saw my leg, it was interesting you can say. Like it became so skinny,and wrinkly, it just wasn’t nice to see it. The aftermath I guess. I’m going to be stuck like this for a little more, but after it’s all over I’m going to work in getting back in shape. Going to have therapy to help with that too.

But I want to come back strong this spring. My mom doesn’t support me still playing sports and etc tho. Especially after what happen. I’m not sure If I would be allow to play, I hope I will be able to. If i do I have to be more careful next time, because your arms and legs and a valuable part of your body. It was a good first experience in a way.Can wait until, The Return of Michael. Well shit, long story short turn into me telling you mostly what happen haha. I can’t wait to be out of this. Until then, a positive mindset is good.

“Hey, how is it in China?”

“I never been there before.”

“What, really? you’re lying, right?”

“No, there isn’t a sign on me that says “Made in China.”

“Well, tell me about it.” I never been there, nothing to tell….

That line “There isn’t a sign on me that says Made in China” has always been a motto for me since I was a kid. But the person who first said this to me was a 7th grader who likes to pick on second graders. He was like three times my size. I never really got his name,so I’ll call him Bob. Bob clearly didn’t like Asians at the time, all he wants is for all Asians to go back to China. My response to that would be not all Asians are from China. Only my mother was from China, otherwise everyone else in my family was born in the U.S. So Bob shouldn’t be

It all happened on the first day of school, this was my first day back at school again. I wasn’t really excited but I was excited to see my friends. But during my first day at school, I had to find my teacher first. And I would do so by looking for my class number which the teacher would be holding with a giant sign our number. When I was a kid, teachers would usually be my worst nightmare, those scary mean teachers. And plus at the time the staffs/teachers weren’t that great at the time, but some few. There was literally this one dean who would pick you up with her collar and choke you if you did something bad. They were scary.

During lunch time I would play fight with all my friends. We were all kids, what can you expect? We would see who’s stronger, who has better moves, the awesome sound effects, and who wins in general. But I usually play fight hardcore with this dark skin guy for fun, and the outcome would be me dropping him on the floor. He wasn’t hurt or anything it was just like a playful drop, none of us was hurt by it. That was when Bob spotted me out, he didn’t like the fact that an Asian wins over a dark skin guy. As we make our way back into the lunchroom, Bob decided to beam a football at my head.

Now, this didn’t happen to 10th grade Jason, where if I fall or get hit by something I would just shake it off. This was second grade small, Fragile, easy to knock over, Jason. When I saw a flying football in the corner of my eye coming right toward me, I knew I was gonna go flying, and that’s what exactly what I did as the football impacted my face. The force dragged me off my feet and I fell over. I burst out crying because of the pain surging through my skull, It hurt a lot. A teacher came over, one of the teacher I used to have, and she just rubbed my head and told me “it’s okay.”

I wasn’t too happy about that since the guy didn’t even get in trouble, but ever since that day, he always picked on me. While in the lunch lines his friend and him would just bust in front of me shoving me out the line, and if they were to get caught. All they would do is start saying Racist joke.

“Get your Ching Chong outta here bitch,” said one of his friend.

“Chill, he’ll get Jackie Chan on your ass!” said another one of his friend.

“Hey, how is it in China?” Said Bob

“I never been there before,” I said

“What, really you’re lying?” Said bob

“No, there isn’t a sign on me that says Made in China!” I said upset

“Well, tell me about it,” said Bob (Laughing)

“You stupid” I said (Because he clearly doesn’t understand I never been there.

“Well, tell me about it when I send your ass flying toward China and the great wall of China!” Said Bob, wanting to hit me but a staff was right there.

I just stood there quiet because I was scared of them. I never really understood why they dislike Asians so much. In my mind, all they were, was jerks who didn’t have a life and had nothing to do. I honestly despise those type of people. Every time someone ask me something related to my race without consideration that can offend me, I would just want to let out my anger on them. I’m glad I never have to see them again. And If I were they would be in a pickle this time.

​The TV Show that we watched in class was Digital Nation.
1. What the show was about learning the danger of the Internet.
2. The most memorable thing was learning how much time Koreans spent their time on the internet playing games.
3. It is important to watch these shows because it gives us information about the drangers and the things that could happen.
4. What i would do to keep my family safe in the future is that I would tell them the safey of the internet and limit their times on the internet.
5. It is important to keep them from making mistakes and to let them know about the dangers.
6. What i would tell parents that don't know how to keep their children safe online is to just talk to them about it and let them open up so you'll know if anything happens.

For my ​magazine i used the insert word art to make my title big and dark for it to stand out. I pasted photos that describe me. I pasted the photos together but not overlapping so you can see a clear image. I tried to cover as much space i can to make it look better. Looking at my slide you would see many different pictures of a certain thing. I made my photo sticking together box like and my name big and bold so you know it's my slide.

​Today in class wer watched a video about bullying. An actively we did was to search up your name on google and see what pops up.
The video brings to mind how much negatively things that people can do and how people can counter it.
Who am i online? When i search myself online nothing pops up but a Singer with my name.
Maybe people may think im a singer just because my name is Jason Chen.
The goal of internet troll is that they are horrible people that whats you to suffer for their pleasure, so make sure to just ignore them.
The negative effect are they are just here to mess around so ignore them

There are many people on my LAN because i have a lot of family members but the devices connected are Jason's iPhone,Jason's laptop, Cindy's iPhone, Cindy's laptop, Wendy's iPhone, Wendy's laptop, Dad's iPhone, Dad's laptop, and Mom's iPhone
Something i learned about about networks are the black wire that comes into my house i did not know it was a Coax.
If i were to tell someone something about a ISP or Home Network i would tell them what Router and Modern are.
