My capstone is working with NPDC to help the Asian community that lives in the Northeast. Since the start of April 2020, NPDC has been supported by the councilman, Bobby Henon to supply us with boxes of food. Each box includes at least one source of fruits, vegetables, protein, grain, and dairy and it varies each week. Every week there's a food distribution for the community. Along with some period of time, there are diapers and wipes distributed to families that have babies.

My Capstone project was designing and creating my own unique deck of tarot cards. There are 76 cards in a tarot deck and each card took me about an hour to sketch, outline, and color. For my Capstone, I decided to encapsulate my creative writing ability and skills into writing personal poems that displayed my emotions and feelings in words on paper. Throughout the course of my senior year, I would write poems and journal entries about a variety of topics in my life. Sometimes, they would be about school, friends, family, and society. I decided to come full circle with my Freshmen year English project, Me Magazine, I made my capstone on a physical book. I wrote down every poem by hand and created covers, and even colored many pages. I have titled my collection of poems to be "Annie's Book of Life". For my capstone, I maintained little league fields and will continue for the rest of the baseball season. It all started when the little league needed people to help maintain and prepare fields. This was not as easy as they hoped, with Covid and without any people stepping up my brother and I were able to. For the past couple of months and for the months to come on any given day (most weekends) we wake up around 6 am and drive down and fix the fields that they request. For my capstone, I wanted to raise awareness on different financial mistakes made in college. I did research on common financial mistakes that college students make in college and from there I came up with a list of tips to combat those mistakes. I created infographics (shown below) that provided advice to anyone embarking on their college journey.

For my capstone, I decided to create a journal that talks about my 4 years at SLA and give advice to future students walking in. I did this by talking about what I learned, what I wished I learned, and other tips that I think are important to know.
