Hand
Weekly Drawings
January 17-21,2011
During the week of 17-21 we were assigned a challenging but creative way to make a realistic model of your hand. In those few days we had to construct a model of our hand in various ways may it be using shapes or lines the main goal was to get a hand done.
January 31- February 4, 2011
In this week we had to enlarge our self portarit to a bigger scale streching what we thought we saw to what was actually right there. In this week my whole comfortable mind frame to shattered & pushed to the next level in this self portrait.

History Benchmark 2

This is the photo that I used for my voice tread.
This benchmark I would say was difficult. I feel as though it was a lot of time consuming and that it was difficult to go about this project. Finding laws and offices was challenging and sort of annoying. Finding laws and court cases that pertained to me was difficult because I do not have anything that really affects me. I do not have any problem with anything and for like healthcare and college yeah. I got frustrated a lot while doing this benchmark. I did learn the difference between the 3 different branches and interesting laws. If I would do this benchmark differently I would have...I don't know. I would not wish to do this benchmark again. Overall, this was a challenging benchmark and a productive one as well.

Finale blog post on Ethical Pathway Act of 2010
For my finale blog post in this series I did not know what to focus on anymore. The Ethical Pathway Act of 2010 that I had been tracking since the start of the project had not budged. The last reported update of it was on September 29th. Since then project I had to relay on getting in contact with people. This has been a very tricky part with contacting people. I knew for sure that besides wanting to get in contact with officials, I really wanted to get in contact with important organizations that could help me.
As I mentioned before in another post the most important groups I thought of getting in contact with would be PETA and Humane Society. Even the ASPCA I thought could be a good contact in trying to help push out info with this project. Because of another animal rights project I did before PETA’s official twitter had become a follower of mine. I used this as one resource into getting in contact with them. Though I did not get a message in return I tried on there as well as with other contact info I could find. The same went for the ASPCA but with them I also had another advantage. My father had known someone who worked with the ASPCA. With that he also helped with trying to help me with contact him.
At times it seemed as if trying to contact and all wouldn’t work out to something. Outside of those people I tried to contact there were other places that were talking about this. It was nice to see that a small amount of blogs did take the time too talk about this as well. It does mean that this bill is being heard and will help it get discussed about. At this point I now I wonder if I should continue this project since it is over and if so how.

Three Branches of Government Quarter 2 Benchmark
Click here for my list of laws, cases and offices.
At first I had no idea how to go about searching for 12 laws, cases and offices. I started by searching for specific lists of laws and such, but realized that the interfaces with lists weren't organized enough to throughly search for information. Then I moved to thinking about my life and the things I encounter everyday and moving from there. I thought about the things in my life that are positive and what exactly in the government ensures that those rights and ways of happiness are present in my life. This process as a whole was quite simple, but time consuming in a way that I didn't anticipate but through it I realized that as I get older more laws will most begin to affect my life. Most laws don't affect me because I am not yet independent from my mother and laws that involve things such as marriage and housing don't affect me directly. Overall, this has been an interesting process of figuring out how and why the I'm regulated to stay away from certain things and when these regulations were inherited to our country, state and/or city.
