In this new slide I did various things to make it a better slide. Something’s I decided not to change. I changed the size of the pictures and the font. I also changed the placing of the pictures and making sure they fit together.
I changed the font to make sure it was legible from far away. I also made the middle part that says my name is, Goldie so it was big and so people focused on it. I made everything come out the middle because when I look at billboard I am not looking at the left side or the right side, I am looking in the middle. When I look in the middle I see the whole billboard and what’s on it. I wanted t make sure everyone would get the feel I do when I look at a billboard and also to think that since everything is not on one side, which makes it nice a bigger. When I made the improvements that the class told me to make, which was make the font bigger, I thought I had to add a little more. I made the font bigger and also made my pictures bigger, so there was an awkward space at the bottom. Over all I think the change is better then the first one and I am glad I had the chance to fix it.
I changed what I changed because I thought that it looked better that way. Also it is more organized because before it was all over the place now it's more together. Also it is more of a one-point, one slide kind of slide.
Before I had lots of points on one slide and to much small text. Now I got rid of the small text and use the bleed effect better. I put the pictures and text onto the picture of the computer which I think makes it look cooler.
I like the slide better this way and I think that it would be much easier to read driving past versus before. I wrote the "Me By Me" part because I thought that it would be funny.
In my first slide, I had a lot of colors and all my pictures were spread out. There is really no contrast. Everything was just colorful. The slide was vivid in colors and was visible to see. However, it had nothing that involved Presentation Zen. Also, I really didn't have any type of empty space or bleeding. Everything on my slide was bunched together.
My second slide was much better than my first. I thought of words that describe me best and put them in my second slide. Then, I put one big picture of me so that when people ride by and see my billboard, they would know that it is about me. My words are big and are easy to read. There is also bleeding and a lot of empty space in the slide as well.
My old slide: My name, both in English and in Chinese are on the slide. I made the font really big. I think black and white are the most simple and out-stand color, so the background is white and the letters are black. The image of me is pointing at my names. Shadows and reflections can make the images and letters really cool, so I did them. My Chinese name has 3 characters, but my English name has two letters, so I put a little heart between my first and last English name.
I think my old picture is not so bright, so I edited my picture so it looks brighter now. I noticed that my fonts and images are not so clear. I think it's because the effects make them not so clear, so I deleted all of the effects. The look pretty clear now.
I changed what I changed because I considered the things they told us on Presentation Zen. Then, I applied it toward my slide. I used the rules of thirds. First, I moved all the pictures to one side and all the words. Another thing is that I moved all the words to one side. I also made the words bigger so, they would stand out.
Next, I used bright colors on a black background for contrast. Also, I took the colors from the pictures, like the color of my hoodie or the color of one of the sheep. Then, I used those colors for the font color. I made the pictures bleed off of the slide so, it doesn't seem clutter.
Lastly, I aplahed the back of the pictures, so you won't get distracted by the background. So, you would only see the faces of the people. Then, I made them smaller and put them together and overlapped them, like a collage.
The first slide I did not use the whole slide and every thing was to small. On the new slide every thing was made bigger and the color of the chart changed. Also it was all rotated.
This is the old slide.
This is the new slide.
I made some changes to my keynote slide. I deleted a few of my elements and moved some things around. Before, I had way too many elements and it would not be easy for the eye to see and enjoy because there was way to much to comprehend all at once.
I made a lot of my pictures bleed off of the sides. Also, I over- lapped alot of my pictures. I guess you call call it a collage. I made some contrast with some of my pictures. I made contrast also with the black background and all the colors from the picture.
For the old slide I felt as if everything wasn't big enough and the words needed to be much bigger so that people can see it. For the car, the car had full contrast but the road was hard to see. So I chose to change the road so that people can see the road. I also chose to make the picture bleed off of the page because the old picture I thought was to dull.
In the new slide I thought that the picture was great because it has great contrast. The poem goes along with the slide show and the frases goes very well with the slide show. I felt as if this was a very good slideshow and I am satisfied with it.
Well, In my first slide I used Alpha, big text, and minimum use of contrast. But i had alot of empty space even though you can, but it didn't make the slide worth remembering. The text wasn't big enough but the quotes were very strong, and the colors were very interesting. My first slide i used alpha but didn't use it very well.
My second slide I used alpha to put my words on my picture so they can stand out. Also i used make type big so my audeince can get more of a better meaning of what picture meant, I added a title the is very large and has much contrast. Also contrast rule because I use one color and change the main meaning of what I was trying to say in another color. The other rule i used was empty space to leave audience guessing wanting more, its not much food but there is a lot of substance.
