Reflection:
I learned to make the slide appealing and make sure the pictures are not pixelated. I also learned to make the slide not have not to much info but just enough. Also to make the font big enough so people can read it.
Media Fluency
In technology class, we had to make a slide all about us using the links given about how to design a good looking slide. The slide was supposed to show that we understood what the links were saying.
For my “All About Me Slide,” I wanted to make a slide that looked plain, yet eye-catching. On the slide design link, it says to use large font sizes and colors with a lot of contrast. Thats why I went with a white background and a bright blue heading. Also, Zach Holman says his slides aren’t made to be looked at by people who didn’t see his talk in person. To anyone who just looks at my slide, they see my name and pictures. Thats how I wanted it to be, so that people had to listen to what I have to say in order to understand what I wrote. From the Presentation Zen link, I learned to make my slide visual. That means to make it noticeable, understandable, and rememberable. The link also says that slides are visual aids, not “text aids.” That is exactly why I made my slide with pictures and no full sentences.
Improved:
From the presentations last week, I learned to keep things extremely simple and spaced out. My slide was already simple, so I had to change the spacing of the letters in my name. I made it so that they aren't so close together, so now there isn't as much of an empty space.
Media Fluency
For my slide about myself I chose to use to variety of things to make mine personal. Bleeding was used for all pictures and the title for a sense of mystery, also to catch the viewers attention. Few words are written to keep the readers attention and not draw their attention away from the speaker/presenter.
Here are the sources I used to help me on this assignment.
Presentation Zen Link
I learned that you can't overpower the slide with too many words and a lot of pictures. Also that you have to keep it simple and coordinate colors in the slide with everything else.

I decided on a contrast theme. I happened to like Keynote’s blueprint theme and changed the text to green. I used the Project, Name, and Date forms creatively as a description of myself. I decided the pictures should do the rest for me and added a terminal (my second home) and a picture of Dr Who’s Tardis to make my slide look like a computer screen. For a finishing touch I added one of my favorite quotes. My slide isn't very minimal but it communicates me very well and is neat, clean, and eye-catching.

Scalia-Jackson, Kristina Lucid Chart - Home Network
My internet comes into my house from a wireless router provided to me from my service provider. (ISP) My ISP is Xfinity from Comcast. My internet cost from comcast is bundled into my home phone and tv as well. We pay about $263. I have many things connected to my home network. I have my tv, my google tv box, my ipad, 2 macbook pro’s, my ipad, my iphone, my sisters iphone, my moms iphone, my mom’s old iphone, my dad’s blackberry, my printer, my desktop, my ipod, my mom’s laptop, etc.
Everything that is connected to my LAN (ie. home network) is connected wirelessly. There are many devices on my L.A.N. I have my TV, Macbooks, Desktop, Ipad, Iphones, Ipods, Blackberry, & Google Tv. All of the same things listed for my home network previously. My O.M.G reflection moment was when I realized how much work the computer goes through in order to process every request. Computers do a lot in such a short amount of time. Its amazing.
I would tell anyone with an ISP/home network to make sure they have a password on their network. Even though they may think no one will be close enough to use it, if people are it would slow them down. Also if there are children that will be using the network, there should be restrictions in place.

When you talk about Internet most people know what you are talking about but what lies behind that is a mystery to most of us. On my I.S.P ( stands for internet service provider) which is Verizon, I have a Sony laptop, Macbook pro, Psp, Psp Vita, printer, Ipod, and a smartphone. All together I have seven devices connected to a modem with wireless capabilities. The amount of devices in an average household has increased in the last 5 years, so we should be aware of this process in order to fix any problems we encounter with our devices ourselves.
Something new that I learned that amazed me is how fast our computer send packages to the web in order for you to receive the information that we need. This is a long process but yet we have advanced so much that is does even take a minute to search something anymore.
One thing that I would advise all people who have wireless connection is to put a password on it because if you don’t there are people out there who can use your internet access for their needs and think about, you pay money for your connection but if you don’t lock it others can use it for free. Also if other people are using your internet it is also going to decrease the speed of your internet.

2) MY OMG moment was while we were learning about the internet connection and how packages came through to your computer, there were so many things that had to be done but it was done in such a quick amount of time. It shocked me that a computer or device could move so quick and people get irritated if it takes longer than ten seconds.
3) Other people in the world should know about having an ISP/Home network that you should always have a password if you have a WIFI connection. Random people near you can connect to that network for free if it's not password connected. If there is a password only people who know of the password can connect, so that way it's easier for you and you're not paying for multiple people than you need to.Nocella, Veronica, Lucidchart, Home Network
The internet connects to my modem from my ISP, which is Comcast. My modem then connects to my wireless router through my ethernet. My router is connected to my printer, my desktop computer, and both of my laptops.
One thing I learned from this that I didn't know before was how many connections had to be made in order for me to access the internet through my computer. When casually using the internet for social networking, I never thought much of the fact that I was connected to the internet.
Something that I would like someone else to know is that once something is on the internet, it no longer belongs to you. When uploading a picture, video, or any other kind of media to the internet, you no longer have any control as to where it goes.
