El mural es ubicado en 910 Dickinson St. El mural incorpora muchas coses bel barrio, por ejemplo tiene el "E" de un "ACME" viejo en el barrio. También tiene parte de un iglesia que cerca del mural. Por ultimo el mural es parte de un casa en el barrio. Este diseño de casa es común en el barrio, así que incorpora parte del arquitectura en el comunidad. Un cosa interesante sobre este mural es que es en blanco y negro. La mayoría de los murales en Filadelfia son en color así que este es un imagen distinto sobre el mural. Los imagenes en el mural también son únicos porque algunos son abstracto y otros son mas realista. Esta mural era diseñado especialmente para este comunidad y lugar en y significaos en el comunidad.

Respiration

In Bio-Chem we learned about respiration and photosynthesis.  After we learned everything we got into groups of four and we picked a paper out of a beaker.  The paper either said photosynthesis or respiration and our mission was to make a presentation about that.  My group got respiration.  While on this unit we learned about the different functions of respiration and our slides shows our learning.  One thing that I learned that I didn't know before was that all most all living creatures use respiration.We  also learned about the equation of respiration and the mitochondria which is where respiration happens.  We also learned about glucose.  If I was to change one thing about our slide is that I wish I could put audio over my presentation.  I could not figure out a way to do that.

“Eagles Obtuvieron Title Título de División”


Los Eagles, el equipo de fútbol americano de Filadelfia, ganó contra los Cowboys de Dallas el domingo pasado, de un puntuación de veinticuatro veintidós. Eso partido fue muy importante por ambos equipos, porque quién lo gane ganaría el división de este. Los Eagles ha estado teniendo una temporada muy buena, y lo sería una lástima si ellos no lo hicieron a los playoffs. Este partido decidió que equipo, Los Eagles o Los Cowboys fueron a los playoffs.

Los Eagles tenían una ventaja yendo dentro del partido: Los Cowboys han estado en tres partidos como este en los tres años pasados, y ellos perdieron cada vez. Aunque, Los Cowboys tienden a ganar contra Los Eagles cuando los dos equipos juegan el uno del otro, dando ellos una ventaja. Fue un factor muy grande aunque: el quarterback estrella de Los Cowboys, se llama Tony Romo, se lesionó la semana que pasada, entonces él no jugaba en el partido. Este fue muy suerte por Los Eagles, como Los Cowboys son mejor cuando Romo está jugando.

¿Y que equipo ganó? ¡Los Eagles! Fanáticos de Filadelfia fue muy feliz cuando su equipo derrotó Los Cowboys 24-22. No fue un juego facil de ver, pero los Eagles estaban victorioso en el fin. Ahora Los Eagles están en los playoffs y va a jugar los Saints de New Orleans el sabado que viene. ¡Vuela Eagles vuela!

Piden Reforma Tras Caso de Policia Indocumentada

Ahora, las personas en los estados unidos tienen una problema con inmigración. La

problema esta muy grande, pero no todos las personas entienden que necesitamos hacer algo. Pero, ahora, algunas de las personas que no entienden que necesitamos hacer algo, van a entender que nosotros necesitamos hacer algo porque algo muy importante sucedido. Hoy en los Estados Unidos, estan once míles personas sin documentadas para vivir aqui.  Estos personas vivian en peligroso porque el gobernio puede deportase ellos.

Carmen Figueroa fue una persona importante en los políticas en los estados unidos. Carmen Figueroa fue una detective de policía, pero los oficiales descubrieron que ella esta un inmigrante ilegal. Este situación presente una problema muy grande porque mucho de tiempo cuando tenemos inmigrantes ilegales, ellos trabajan en trabajos muy fáciles y trabajos que no estan muy importante por el gobierno de los estados unidos. Pero, este situación es significa porque Carmen Figueroa es una mujer que trabaja en la industria de policía.

Despues de yo leí este articulo, yo aprendí algunos de palabras nuevas. Cuantos palabras nuevas en este articulo estan  advirtieron  y descubrir. En inglés, advirtieron  es “warning”. Y descubrir  es “be discovered” en inglés.

Photosynthesis Presentation - Felix

Hello. My name is Felix Schafroth Doty, and in Bio-Chem we were learning about Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration. For this unit we created presentations on our special process. You can see my Photosynthesis Presentation here. We started off with the vocabulary used in photosynthesis. Then we went into the process of light becoming energy for the plant. We learned that you need light, carbon dioxide, and water. We also learned that the light reactions take place in the chloroplast. One thing I think that my team could have done differently is that we could go more in to detail on the slides. Our presentation could definitely be touched up, and had we more time, we could definitely go into more detail and make it look better.

Respiration Lesson

  In this unit, an experiment was conducted to introduce the topic of respiration and photosynthesis. From that experiment, this group was assigned to learn more about respiration. To open up a basic idea of respiration, videos and extensive research was conducted. After gaining all this information, a Google Presentation was created and that presentation was used to teach the class about respiration and it also included details, unknown to the class.

      

      Just like any other lesson, this lesson had many good parts, but it can still be improved. For example, the presentation included a lot of pictures and because of that, the lesson was made very clear. However, one major change to be made would be to have more resources. There was no prior knowledge about respiration and that made it hard to actually teach the lesson without messing up some information.

Hello. My name is Gabrielle Cromley. I collaborated with Kayla Cassumba, Toby Mast, and Kiamesso DiSilva on a presentation on the process of photosynthesis for my Bio-Chem class. Photosynthesis is the process by which sun energy, carbon dioxide, and water are converted into carbohydrates, oxygen, and sugars by plants algae and bacteria. Respiration - Table 1

Hi! My name is Arianna Haven, and this is my presentation about respiration. This project is for my 9th grade Bio-Chem class at Science Leadership Academy. Our job as a table was to create a presentation about either respiration or photosynthesis to be able to teach the class. My table group got respiration. We researched online and in text books all about respiration, and we created this. As a group we wanted to focus on/ learn about the start and end products of the respiration process. Because of our focus on this topic we learned that respiration starts with glucose and ends with ATP. Of course there are many other processes in between such as glycolysis, the electric transport train, and chemiosmosis. Although we learned so much as a group, I would change a few things. One of the things I would change is how we managed our time. I believe that if we planned out small “due-dates” for ourselves, we would have not been as stressed. However, all in all, I believe we did a great job, and were able to achieve our goal.

La Mesa de la United Democrática quiere reunir la gasolina. Ellos piensa es hora de tener más dinero. En dos mil trece, apenas 1% para este año 53%. En dos mil doce de Octubre, más producción por 30%. Venezuela pasó 216 mil millones dólares de GDP. Otros precios serán caros; educación, seguridad social, infraestructura y para la superación de la pobreza. Quieren aumentar la producción de alimentos. Ellos van a tener una programa por tres mil las personas pobreza. Nacional de infraestructura para mejorar carreteras, autopistas, hospitales y escuelas. Ellos piensan el dinero ayuda la comunidad.


Yo pienso todo es caro porque el gobierno quiere más dinero por guerra y armas. A veces, ellos no promesa que ellos dicen. Quien la gasolina costaba más, la comida y la ropa va a costar más. Las personas trabajan y que no se hacen pagados mucho. También educación va a costar más y para las décadas pasadas, los personas son pobres. Hay mucho pobreza. En Estados Unidos, la gasolina es muy es caro y el dinero va a la guerra. Un poco de dinero va a escuela, pero la educación es horrible en la ciudad.  En Filadelfia, hay treinta y dos estudiantes son en un clase. Yo no puedo aprender.

Respiration

Hello! For this project my group was to focus on respiration.  We had to make a presentation that could be taught to our peers.  By the end of this project my group wanted to be able to explain a diagram of the process of respiration.  We also wanted to know how ATP is formed in more detail.  Something my group learned was about what happens during the major sections of respiration, like glycolysis and the Krb’s cycle. What my team would do differently next time is experiment with voice overs so that the diagrams on our presentation are much easier to understand.
