My first debate
tournament went well. I made it to the semi-finals – a feat deemed unattainable
by someone in their first debate. In this round we were clearly outmatched. The
opposing team had been debating for years and subsequently, their case was much
more solid. After the debate was over my partner and I left the room
immediately, too bummed out to have to stay and listen to the negative
commentary. We had just taken our seats in the auditorium of about a hundred people
when they host of the tournament came through the door, and gave a look of pure
confusion. “Why aren’t you two up there getting ready?!” she said hastily; and
all of a sudden everything changed. Chris and I ran outside the room to let
loose with some giddy screaming and jumping, just long enough for us to compose
ourselves and get back inside to debate.
As I said, the
finals were in an auditorium in front of close to a hundred people. This was a
personal test because public speaking had always been an issue for me. I knew
the results would be close. Unfortunately, I lost the debate by a two to one
vote; however, the skills that I gained that day had a lasting affect as I
eventually went on to succeed at several other prestigious debate tournaments.
-Every Russian and American space voyage has included chocolate bars. - Bananas can set of radiation sensors in US airports. - Potatoes can kill you. Potatoes have a chemical called solanine which can cause diarrhea, vomiting, sore throats, or coughing and wheezing. However, more severe cases include paralysis or death. But no worries there hasn't been a death due to solanine in over 50 years (in the U.S). - Gum is outlawed in Singapore - Hot water freezes faster than cold water - A lion's roar can be heard from over 3 miles away - The brain may process pain but it does not actually feel pain - Your teeth grow before birth - Feet can produce a pint of sweat of day - Coughs can be as fast as 60 mph - Left-handed people have a higher chance of dying than right-handed people. I believe this is because chainsaws are made for right- handed people.
what I've done to deserve this. I don't know why you've lied to me about her. I don't know why you texted her, talked to her, or even thought of her when you knew how upset I get when I think of her. You fuck with my head, way too much. I'm tired of it. I'm tired of crying and embarrassing myself in front of other people. I just wish instead of hiding it, you'd tell me the truth.
"It's amazing... the
lengths people are willing to go for the people they love. From lovers, to
siblings, to parents, to friends, to pets. When you're heart gets truly
attached to someone, there's no telling what you'll do for them. My name's Kam
and in the following audio you'll hear about the boundaries and lines that
people cross and the risk and sacrifices people make for the one's they
love."
My alarm clock really annoys me sometimes. Usually, when it gets accidentally unplugged, it refuses to go off the next morning despite the fact that it is set. When it gets unplugged, I anticipate it not going off so I make sure that I set my cell phone, also. However, this morning it wanted to be completely rude and not go off even though it was never unplugged.
Thankfully, I woke myself up only eight minutes late. I quickly jumped out of bed and stared at my alarm clock. It was definitely set for 6:30 am. It just decided it wanted to do it's own thing and be IDIOTIC.

I never know when your gonna show up, but I know you'll always come. Even though you bring me pain I know I need you in my life. Yeah sometimes you can ruin my whole day but I guess it's worth it. But the thing I hate most is when you come at the worse possible time because you know when I'm in the middle of something important. That doesn't stop you thought, you always have to make a statement. Guess I should thank mother nature for that smh. Wouldn't have it any other way though.
A week or so ago I wrote and recorded a song. Theses are some of the lyrics I wrote and thought I would share. They are not my best but I do like them and my friends said they absolutely adored it. This is also quiet big for me for I never share my lyrics I write outside of my friends. SO um yeah here they are.
Even though the road has been hard. Even if tears have fallen now there is hope for the sun to appear, to dry them all away and guide me on. Though there is the weight trying to be what others want I keep all my dreams tucked inside my heart. Some how I will find the strength to keep moving on past this pain. Following this secret dream in my heart. Someday it will lead me to where I belong. To a dream that is true and to love that is so pure
