Negative space is the clear blank empty space around a picture.

  • B. Explain how you found negative space in 1. your cut out?, 2. in your stool drawing?

I found negative space in my cut out by when I used different colour for template to background paper I saw the shape of the cut out. In my stool drawling I did scissors, I found by when I shaded white paper then erase the outline of the scissors. So when I saw the different colours I found negative space.     

  • C. Why does it help an artist to see in negative space?

It helps an artist by it him see what he drawled only and it adds a balance to the picture.

  • D. How is negative space useful in creating art?

Negative space is used to just focus what has been drawled.

La elección para gobernador de Pennsylvania viene en noviembre, y los candidatos han sido elegidos. Actual gobernador republicano Tom Corbett no se ve bien. Muchas personas no les gusta lo que ha hecho en su primer mandato. Ha dicho muchas cosas malas, incluyendo uno que comparaba el matrimonio homosexual al matrimonio de hermanos. También hizo que miles de maestros perderán sus empleos. Un estudio dijo que sólo uno de cada cuatro personas que deberían darle un segundo mandato. Corbett dijo que está contento con lo que ha hecho como gobernador, diciendo que él ha ayudado económicamente al estado.

Sus posibles oponentes son Allyson Schwartz, Rob McCord, Tom Wolf y Katie McGinty. Allyson Schwartz dice que ella debe ser gobernador porque tiene la experiencia y el registro. Rob McCord tiene el plan más alto por el salario mínimo. Tom Wolf dice que debe ser gobernador porque tiene experiencia como dueño de un negocio, y Katie McGinty dice que mejorará la clase media.

La elección primaria demócrata es el 20 de mayo. ¿Quién ganará? ¿Lo más importante, quién será el próximo gobernador de Pennsylvania?

Negative space is all the empty space that surrounds the subject in a photograph or drawing.

  • B. Explain how you found negative space in 1. your cut out?, 2. in your stool drawing?

1. To find the negative space in my cut out, the template was helpful. The darker shades in the template was my negative space and the lighter was the positive space.

2. To find the negative space in the ‘stool drawing’, I was initially very confused. I didn’t know where to start, but then Ms.Hull gave me pointer. She said I should lightly sketch the stool . Then, I was to shade all around it which was the negative space. Thanks for the help Ms.Hull!

  • C. Why does it help an artist to see in negative space?

It helps an artist see negative space because it can make their image more appealing to the eye and adds a nice balanced look. The positive space in the drawing also defines the negative space.

  • D. How is negative space useful in creating art?

Negative space is useful because it lets the artist focus on the main subject, rather than unnecessary details.  It also gives the drawing more dimension.

A negative space drawing, is an outline of an object or someone. It is opposite of a silhouette. The negative space is outside and positive space is inside.

Negative space in my cut out was, the blue. The pink is the background that touches with the edge of the negative space. In my stool drawing i found the negative space by the outline of the object that i drew. Outside of the outline that was the negative space.

C. Why does it help an artist to see in negative space?

Negative space helps artists because they can focus on one side, and come out with two. It can make things more attention grabbing.

D. How is negative space useful in creating art?

Negative space is useful in art, by sometimes making drawings two dimensional and more interesting.

  • = Negative space is something that is an illusion of something. It's when the surrounded space helps a object to reflect even though it's not meant to be drawn out. The use of negative space is a key element of artistic composition.
  • B. Explain how you found negative space in 1. your cut out?, 2. in your stool drawing?
  • =  I have found my negative space in my first drawing while I was cutting out the squares of the trees. I started to notice that one side is going to reflect another if I cut the opposite of each other and keep the cutout papers. Then glue it to the opposite sides with it's opposite face and it'll be shown as negative space drawing. Then in my second drawing, I have shaded the full page except keeping the filled where I wanted to reflect a bottle. I drew it in some ways that no one notices its a bottle but the shade helps it notice that it's a bottle without actually drawing it out. 
  • C. Why does it help an artist to see in negative space?
  • =It helps an artist to use negative space because they can play with other's illusion and make many things out of it. They show that negative space can be drawn out where other possibilities aren't present.
  • D. How is negative space useful in creating art?
  • = Negative space is useful creating art because sometimes it can show two drawings inside of one another. They can show what other things can be meant in a  drawing. The artist can include many things inside one drawing and the viewer can view it in different perspective but still will find the same or different. That['s the power of negative space.

A. Negative space is empty space, it is usually white. 
B. When I was doing my cut out with construction paper I found out the negative space was the paper I was cutting. Moreover, when I was drawing the stool I found the coloring around the white space made it negative space. 
C. Negative space is used to organize or make the drawing more balance and clean. It also compliments the subject. It defines the drawing and again, makes it cleaner looking. 
D. Negative spacing in art is useful, because the negative space outlines the idea. Meaning, there is enough subject where the negative stands out, which helps to define the object. It keeps it creative and different.

¿Quién se Enfrentará a Corbett en las Elecciones Generales?

¿Quién se enfrentará a Corbett en las elecciones generales? Esa es la pregunta como las elecciones primarias estan se acercando muy rápido. El dia de las elecciones primarias es este Martes, el veinte de Mayo. Muchas gente alrededor del ciudad de Filadelfia va a salir y votando para quien ellos piensan es el mejor candidato democrático a gobernador del estado de Pennsylvania. Hay cuatro personas quien candidato a gobernador: Tom Wolfe, Rob McCord, Allyson Schwartz, y Katie McGinty. Todos son candidatos buenos, pero por el momento Tom Wolfe es favorito para ganar, basado en las últimas encuestas. La pregunta es, ¿puede alguno de ellos ganar contra del actual Gobierno de Pennsylvania?  El gobierno de Pennsylvania es un hombre se llama Tom Corbett. Él es un republicano quien ha estado en oficina para los cuatro años pasados, y está candidato a la reelección. Yo pienso que el candidato mejor sería el uno que tiene la mejor oportunidad a ganando contra de Corbett; pienso que no significa que demócrata gana, solo que es un demócrata. Ahorita, pienso que, y mucha gente está de acuerdo conmigo, el estado es un desastre gracias a él.

  • A. What is negative space?
The object in a drawing is the subject. For example, if you are drawing a plastic bottle, the plastic bottle is the subject. The negative space is the area around the subject, also known as the background.

  • B. Explain how you found negative space in 1. your cut out?, 2. in your still-life drawing?
  1. I found negative space in my cut out by cutting along the edges of where the two shades of gray met on the template. When I glued the pink pieces of paper onto the green piece, the green paper was the negative space.
  2.  In my still life drawing, I found negative space by sketching the edges of the water bottle (where the subject touches the background), and then coloring the outside of that shape in black sharpie.

  • C. Why does it help an artist to see in negative space?
If I am struggling to draw an object, I can draw the space around it (the negative space). Focusing on the negative space around the object more than the subject makes the drawing look more realistic and accurate.

  • D. How is negative space useful in creating art?
Drawing negative space gives art a different look without making the subject unrecognizable. Instead of shading and coloring details inside the subject, an artist can boldly shade the background all in one color. Drawing negative space is similar to drawing with a different perspective.
Even if an artist draws the negative space and the subject, looking at both makes difficult parts of a drawing easier to complete, and the entire drawings looks more realistic and to scale.

Reflection and Drawings

​A. Negative space will be the white space in the drawing, possibly black. It creates an image without actually drawing the item. It makes drawings more accurate and pretty!

B. In my cut out drawing the negative space is created using the paper, in which was cut. The background created the foreground for the image, so when the paper was glued down in made the bat/bird image. For the stool drawing the negative space was established by the colors. The colors in the background and the pockets of colors allowed the stool to come to life. 

C. It helps an artist to see in negative space, because the drawing becomes more accurate and aesthetically pleasing drawing.

D. It allows their mind to think different, and focus on what is not there; it makes everything more complex and interesting.

Nunca veía la película original “Godzilla” pero, voy a mirar la nueva versión en este fin de semana.  La versión original de Godzilla película fue impactante para muchas personas. Lo que más que un monstruo de película es alegoría. Los cineastas japoneses utiliza la idea de un monstruo para crear una vía de salida para la ira y el miedo a los bombardeos de Hiroshima y Nagasaki. Esta nueva adaptación obtiene buenas críticas así que no sé lo que se trata el cuento. Creo que es más una película de acción (por lo que he visto en el tráiler de la película) y no sé qué pensar sobre ello. Por un lado, creo que es más cool de la época moderna pero, por otro lado, puede que hayan quitado el mensaje original de la película. Parece que esta nueva uno puede tener un gran potencial, el estudio que se ha hecho algunas realmente buenas películas en el pasado. En el artículo se dice que el director no ha hecho nunca una gran película antes, y esto es muy nuevo para él. Creo que es bueno que gente nueva en Hollywood en vez de tener la misma gente películas aburridas.

La película también tiene Bryan Cranston, el actor de mi televisión programa favorita 'Breaking Bad' y un reciente show de Broadway, "todas las vías" que yo veía hace unas semanas. Es muy buen actor y espero que sea buena en esta película.

Recientemente, he estado viendo más gente use el Google anteojos. En un primer momento, lo que parecía un extraño invento, pero ahora creo que son cool. Podría ser Google mente me controle, pero en realidad parece muy útil. Usted puede mirar un mapa, se puede ver el clima, y otras cosas así. Este chef español se ha dado un par de ellos para su restaurante y ha sido muy feliz con ellos. En el artículo, dice que él pone sus recetas sobre ellos. Dijo que realmente le ayuda con su cocina. Esto es muy interesante y es a la ciencia ficción.

Su restaurante es muy exitosa y el nuevo gafas parecen ayudar a los propietarios con tantas cosas. Yo creo que ahora mismo trabaja para él, pero a menos que el precio se reduce mucho, a continuación, no será bueno para la mayoría de las personas. Creo que es más que un iphone es por el precio ahora. La mayoría de las personas no van a comprar en ella a pesar de que parece ser muy útil. Hay más cosas que vienen de vidrio como Google al igual que la "Piedra." El guijarro es un reloj de pulsera que conecta con el teléfono y le avisa cuando está recibiendo llamadas y otras cosas.

Ese hombre es un dibujador muy bueno, pero nunca sabía sobre el hasta ahora. Al parecer, este artista es muy famoso en España y ha sido el interés de muchos artistas nuevos en los últimos meses. Su trabajo es único y diferente de lo que la mayoría de la gente piensa que como "terminado." Este artista arte Virginia Woolf habla de cómo la piezas son tan importantes como su acabado. Ella comparó su trabajo a la más actual artista Paul Klee. Tanto de su arte es simple y es como garabatos. Dijo que se había de Basquiat en su cuaderno garabatos desde que era un niño en la escuela.

Que es muy interesante ya que yo siempre me encuentro a mí mismo hacer garabatos en mis cuadernos escolares. La mayoría de mis profesores dicen que no es una buena cosa, pero quién sabe, este chico se vende su arte por miles de dólares. Quizás yo puedo también. Me gusta mucho su arte, tiene una sensación más natural que incluso algunos artistas muy famosos. Estoy un poco confundido con esto porque me gusta cómo infantil puede ser su arte pero también respeto el tiempo puso en pinturas más realistas. Creo hay valor en todos.

Primero, me gusta esta banda mucha. Pienso ellos estan haciendo algo de la musica mejor hoy. De hecho, estoy escuchando a su nuevo álbum ahora. La semana pasada, he visto a la preforma en Saturday Night Live y fueron fantásticos, que jugó dos canciones de su nuevo álbum 'blue' ambos son geniales. Leer más de este artículo sobre la manera en la que estas canciones, el álbum entero tiene un tono diferente al habitual. Me Gusta eso mas. Hay una canción que se menciona en el artículo, titulado "Peso del Amor", que es muy bueno. He escuchado un par de veces y me encanta. Es bastante extraño y diferente, pero que podría ser buena ya que han tenido muchos álbumes en el pasado que el mismo tipo de música.Este nuevo estilo es similar a su música anterior pero con un nuevo giro. Una gran cantidad de parece que podría ser de la década de los 70 's, debido a que tiene un ambiente psicodélico.Recientemente, he estado practicando un estilo similar de la música con mi buen amigo Josh. Me dice que de la práctica el ritmo y el tono de las canciones me gusta hasta que puedo cambiar yo mismo. Yo soy muy bueno en improvisación en la guitarra, pero no tiene un gran alcance suficiente para reproducir lo que realmente quiero. Pero la práctica hace a la perfección.

En la clase de Historia (con Maestro Block) fue aprendé sobre que esta haciendo en el Ukraine. Esto es un poco anticuado pero creo que es bastante interesante.

Es posible que no creo que España tuviera una repercusión importante sobre el efecto de Rusia en Ucrania, pero recientemente Obama tuvo una visita a ver Mariano Rajoy (el primer ministro). Obama tomó el tiempo de su muy apretada agenda para visitar al primer ministro y ver lo que pensaba del interés de Rusia en Crimea. El primer ministro también se preocupa por las consecuencias del interés de Rusia en la región ucraniana. Principalmente se discutieron la economía europea y la manera en que la situación en Ucrania puede afectar sus respectivos países.

En la clase, nos habló de cómo la gente injustamente en Ucrania están siendo tratadas, que siguieron la historia a medida. El gobierno se ha venido deteriorando en algunas zonas durante un tiempo antes de que el tema con Rusia. El gobierno, como lo vimos en clase, fue algo corrupto y la gente empezó rebelarse. Muchos de los responsables del estado se vieron obligados a salir de la oficina. Poco después, la Federación de Rusia se interesó en la península Crimea.

Distrito Escolar crea un ambiente hostil para los Latinos




¿Que es la significa de un idioma? Para mí, un idioma es un camino de comunicación verbalmente, físicamente, corporal, etc. Yo creo que la belleza de idiomas verbal es que representan un país diferente, un cultura otra de nuestros. Desde mi punto de vista, no es importa que idioma pertenece a. ¡Hablando inglés, español, chino–es todo asombroso! Abrace y acepte su talento porque el facto que nuestro cerebros pueden comprender, descifrar y adaptarse a idiomas diferentes es absolutamente fascinante. Cualquiera que no estar de acuerda conmigo probablemente esta de acuerdo con Distrito Escolar del Condado de Adams 14 y sus discriminación, crea un ambiente hostil para los estudiantes latinos, sus padres y el personal.

Según al artículo, estudiantes en nuevo escuelas del distrito forzaban hablar no idioma otra de inglés a almuerzo y recesa. Un parte del artículo que me dejó sin palabras es: “En una situación, un estudiante de primaria se le negó asistencia médica por no hablar inglés, que finalmente fue capaz de hablar con un profesor de habla española, pero es mucho más que una hora después de que fue herido.” ¿Qué se pasa? ¿Yo entiendo que estos estudiantes Latinos tiene que aprenden inglés, pero si ellos quieren hablar sus idiomas nativo, qué la problema? Yo soy muy cansado con estos escuelas públicos creando reglas y castigos como no hay más remedio. No estoy menos seguro que eso estaban una violación de la libertad de expresión. Esto no continuaría y esto discriminación debe estar parado once y para todos.

Negative Space and Cutout

 ​Negative space is the empty space around the subject, the thing being drawn.  Negative space is used to draw attention to the subject. 

 To find the negative space in my cut out I looked at the spaces around the tree and I cut those pieces out first. When I pasted them on to a piece of paper then you could see the subject. To find the negative space in the stool drawing I just drew the negative spaces that were empty and had no important things in it and colored those spaces in. Eventually, once all the negative spaces were drawn and colored in, I could see the subject. 

 It helps the artist to see in negative space because it helps them draw their subject more accurately. It also helps them see flaws in their art. When they can do this they can make their art more detailed and accurate.

 Negative space is useful in creating art because it helps it become more balanced and pleasing.  Negative space also helps when you have to design something difficult. If you just pay attention to negative space and draw that the final product seems more polished and pleasing.

1.Negative space is the empty space around a drawing. That can help the viewer see the main subject of the drawing.

2.Negative space can be useful because it can help balance the composition and also allow the main drawing to stand out more depending on the negative space.

3.By using negative space in photography it can help balance the composition because to much negative space and it can be overpowering and to little negative space can ruin a picture making it dull or not nice to look at.

4.The best way to take advantage of negative space would be to use it in photography get a color like white and take a picture with an object that has more bright colors this can draw great contrast and bring the viewers attention to the main subject more.

    A negative space drawing uses the dark or black part of pictures to form shapes that we can recognize.

  • B. Explain how you found negative space in 1. your cut out?, 2. in your stool drawing?

    1. I found it by first pasting one side of the template, and then using what was rest to make the borders for the negative space: The part where I cut out the wings, became, the wings on the other side by "shaping" negative space

    2. I first shaded in the entire page, and then made the shapes by "drawing" with the eraser.

  • C. Why does it help an artist to see in negative space?

    It helps with finding a way to give depth to an object, without giving it any details besides the black and white.

    It allows a person to draw an object without having to make every detail perfect,

Países europeos quieren menos inmigrantes


Un estudio reciente de la gente en los países europeos, dijo que la mayoría de los europeos no quieren que los inmigrantes en sus países. El estudio dice que es debido a razones culturales y económicas. Personas en estos países creen que los inmigrantes no querrán ser parte de la cultura de sus países y que robarán sus puestos de trabajo. El estudio también dijo que mayoría de las personas con un grado cree que los inmigrantes son buenos.

El estudio no habló sólo sobre la inmigración. También dijo que personas piensan en otras cosas. Algunos países, como Italia y Grecia, no se gusta Musulmanes, pero Francia y Gran Bretaña se gusta Musulmanes. El estudio también habló sobre la Unión Europea. La opinión de la Unión Europea ha mejorado en el último año. El país que la mayoría no le gusta la EU es Italia. 74% de los ciudadanos en esta país no le gusta la EU. En Bruselas, el 71% de las personas piensan que su voto en las elecciones no importa al Unión Europea. Este estudio no es perfecta, con un margen de error de aproximadamente el 4%.

El Prado desembarca en Australia con su colección de pintura italiana


El Prado, un museo en Madrid, España es muy famoso para el museo tiene un gran colección de las bellas artes. Ahora muchos otros pintores del Prado, incluso un colección de pinturas italianas va desembarca en el país de Australia.


La pintura selección incluso un centenar de obras de arte. Setenta pinturas y una treintena de dibujos, todos por Australia. Según investigación, el Prado es el mayor préstamo hecho de obras de arte Italiana. Este es muy impresionante y Australia es muy afortunado. Las preguntas es ahora: ¿Porque Australia? ¿Qué pinturas? ¿Son ellos famosos?


Obras maestras de arte italiano de Museo del Prado tiene una gran selección de obras hecho desde 300 años pasados. ¡Algunos desde los quince y seis-cientos! En la exposición hay pinturas de la Corte española, sus reyes, español todos los días vida, y más.


También hay muchas obras hecho por algunos de los mayor de italianos

1. Negative space is the free space that surrounds the drawing. The negative space helps reveal the drawing, so the drawing don't have to be drawn for you to see the drawing; the negative space can help you sketch it out. 

2. The negative space is found in my cut out because the right side of the drawing was made by the space around the original picture. On the other hand, negative space is in my negative space drawing because I drew the picture by coloring in the positive space around it.

3. It helps the artists by seeing negative space because it gives them another prospective to improve their drawing on. In some cases, it also give them a wider vision of their drawing.

4. For different types of art there are different ways of how negative space can be useful. For example, if you are trying to make a brain-teaser painting/drawing, you would most likely use negative space because the details of the drawing is not needed and you can see the general outline of your drawing, so it is easier to edit.
