Sexual Reproduction Vs. Asexual Reproduction
Asexual reproduction is a form of reproduction, which only involves one parent. Plants for example use asexual reproduction or in their case vegetative reproduction. Vegetative reproduction is when parts of the old plant fall off and develop into new plants. The new plants will grow very close to each other and to the parent. This will cause a struggle for soil, nutrients and light, and will consequently cause the plants to be less healthy. During asexual reproduction there is no chance of an evolution occurring, the offspring would almost always be of the same species and would be identical to the parents, so diseases are also passed down directly from the parents to the offspring.
Sexual reproduction is reproduction involving the union or fusion of a male and a female gamete. During sexual reproduction is that there is a large chance of an evolution-taking place. The new species will be able to adapt to environmental conditions, and the new character that is formed with the mixed gametes of the parents so there is a chance that the parent’s diseases would not be received by the offspring.
Sexual reproduction is important when talking about evolution because it also facilitates the increase in fitness under natural selection, leading to the 'best' combinations of genes. Sex can impede the increase in the fitness of the population the how it can remain the dominant form of reproduction across all manner of species. Sex at its foundation of merging of genes from different individuals creates genetically unique genes. If the goal is to maximize fitness by finding a particularly good combination of genes, asexual reproduction - which increases a population's numbers at a much faster rate than sexual reproduction works pretty well.

Keynote
In my first slide, I had a lot of colors and all my pictures were spread out. There is really no contrast. Everything was just colorful. The slide was vivid in colors and was visible to see. However, it had nothing that involved Presentation Zen. Also, I really didn't have any type of empty space or bleeding. Everything on my slide was bunched together.
My second slide was much better than my first. I thought of words that describe me best and put them in my second slide. Then, I put one big picture of me so that when people ride by and see my billboard, they would know that it is about me. My words are big and are easy to read. There is also bleeding and a lot of empty space in the slide as well.

Michaels Halls post
This was my first post and its theme was "To Be Awesome". I took a picture of me with two thumbs to represent doing a good job. The lighting was suppose to represent awe inspiring and same for the volcano.
This is my second and final version of my slide. this slide was based on the same as the first but i used the zen websites rubric. the word are bigger and in contrast to the background so that it catches the viewers eyes. I changed the background to the volcano to still represent awesomeness.
Undecided slides....
So in the Presentation zen video, they talked about how to make a good slide. Some things it talked about were the rule of thirds and catching your audiences eye. Saying that you should use contrast colors, or simple but appealing fonts are good things to try.
Abou's new slide,
On the first slide i created, i failed to uphold the concept of drawing eyes to my slide. I created a very generic, and lifeless slide. I think my main problem was because i was so very use to the standard slides when I did them in middle school. All i did was get my pictures, and draw them to the frames, and fill-in the pre-done slide.
On the new slide I created I got more creative. I used three picture to describe myself, with the middle one slightly bigger than the rest. I changed the font for a more attractive feel. I used the repetitive concept for the logos on the bottom to bring out the quote. And my main features where how i faded the pictures, and slightly reflected them onto my name.
Tech Slide.
I changed my second slide by getting rid of my name. I enlarged both of the pictures and made them different sizes to move you eyes from one to the other. Then I took my quote and put the first half on top of the smaller image. Then the second part on the left corner of the other picture. Then I chose a different font for the quote and changed the color to make a contrast between the colors and the pictures. I also, made the second picture my background. This was all i changed and i am very satisfied with m new slide.
Slide 2
In this slide I added a red background. I also changed the picture of me. I made it my bigger. I also used the rules of the third by having my picture in the center of slide. The picture of the jaguar is kind of bigger because I want people to know that I love jaguars a lot. Then I had the gorilla on the other side of my because I love them to but not as much as I love jaguars. I choose the red background because red is my favorite color. Black is my second favorite color so the gorilla represents that. Orange is my third favorite color and the jaguar represents that. I had the words at the bottom big so they stick out.
the cool me post
i made the change that now the have shadows and they reflect so now they can look like there popping out at you.also then you can see a faint collier switch at the bottom of the too pics that are contrasting.
April Woodburn, Tech Class, My Slide Comparison
Recently in Ms. Hull's ninth grade Tech Class, The Mean Green Stream has been working with slide design elements to help create successful slideshows for projects. To test our own design abilities, Ms. Hull had us create our own slides to represent ourselves. We had to present our slides in class and explain the design elements we used. My first slide design was this:
I used a white background against black and red lettering for a high contrast effect that should catch the eye. you also see the element of contrast with the dark green army guy against white. the bright orange explosion against a brown box also provides a good sense of contrast. However, the text, while important, doesn't leave as big a mark on the viewer than the image. So the black text can be made smaller and put out of the way. Right now the top text draws the eye away from the big picture.
Here is my revised slide:
As you can see, I made the box and explosion much bigger to show the importance of them. The top text is much smaller so it does not distract the viewer from the big picture. I also made the more important text bigger and set it in front of the image so that it brings the eye down from the picture and to the text. I used the rule of the third to place the content so that the chaos looks organized.
Here you can look at them bigger.
Jeffrey's slide
In my old slide I was more focused on the details of myself. But in my new slide I learned how to use different slide methods to make my slide more interesting. For example I used color contrast and dominance. The purple "YEA" Contrast the red and green. And the soccer ball contrast the black background. These rules also made my slide more simple and readable.
First Slide
I choose to do this slide because I wanted to try and make my slide using all the things I learned from Presentation Zen. I used the rules of the three by having my picture in the middle of the two other pictures. That way people would look at me first then at the other two pictures. I used three bullet points to describe myself. Then I left space because I didn't want to take up to much space.
Jalisa Smith
In my new slide I used the rule of the thirds a bit because I have the image to the right and my words on the left. I also chose to have the image cover the entire slide, while letting it bleed off. In addition to that I faded out the image and used contrast by making the words the same color as the man rock climbing. It still portrays the same idea as before but the slide is more organized.
My Slide Experience...
The first slide was my first and I think I probably made a few mistakes. I think there was too much going on and the picture probably should not of been in the middle. I also think I should of not of made the text of my name so big because it takes away from the quote and the picture.
The second slide was my new slide. I faded my quote into the background and brought my picture to the side so that since I want my picture to be the main part of the slide you can be able to focus more on it and not anything else on the slide.
all about me :-)
the old one!
the new one !
the reason i changed my slide because i feel like i put to much words and i had to present it so there is no reason for me to talk when every thing i had to say was right there . but now i learned how to make it simple because less id much more.
Byshera's new Slide
I changed the seize of the leaves and the worlds so that there would be the rule of the thirds. I also used contrast. The red leafs are a contrast to the white world and the white worlds are in contrast to the black bubble rap. I also used bleed off with the light moon so bleu is off. I think this one is better because put more thought in it.
Taylor Thomas's Awesome Slides!
My first slide used the rule of thirds because the words from my favorite quote are at the top and bottom and my beautiful smile is in the middle. It also used contrast because the words from the quote are blue and red.
I thought that my slide was perfect the way it was, so I decided to make a new slide. I still wanted to focus on smiling so I stacked the smiley face on the left hand side. Still using the rule of thirds I put Smile in the 2/3 and 3/3 portion of the slide. I contrasted the black of the background with the purple, red, green, blue, pink and yellow of the smileys.
These slides use the large words, the rule of the thirds, and contrast. I thought that this was the best way to get someone's attention and to make people notice them. This way everyone will be able to look at them and clearly understand the message, to smile.
Slide Merrik Saunders
For my slide first I changed the size of my name. It is all about me so I wanted me to be bigger. Next I made my title one line to just under line my name. The three pictures I made bigger and made the to on the end bleed off the end. I also made them bigger so you can see them better. For the swords I made them a little smaller and in the corners to be a crest.
