Q3 Art Reflection

In my project I really focused on getting the ceiling and floor nice.  I really made sure I had the right amaount of tiles as in real life.  And I worked on one of the side walls. 

 What do you feel like you accomplished with your final drawing? 
I feel I accomplished my ceiling and floor.  By getting the lines right.

 What would you change or differently if you could do this project again?
I would have added the table and stool and manage my time better by being not such a perfectionist. 

Find a drawing on the wall that you think is successful. Describe it. Why is it successful?
Jonathon's drawling is really nice I like his shading and how his lines are different shapes.  And He got what he had to get done in the drawling. 

What did you learn about one point perspective?
I learned that it can look different if you are at different levels. And that everything goes back to a vanishing point.

  • a. What do you feel like you accomplished with your final drawing?  (keeping the rubric in mind. 20pts. - back wall, 20pts. side wall, 20pts. ceiling, 20pts. floor, 20pts. table/chair = 100pts.
  • I feel like I accomplished my ceiling, because that took more time than I expected. I also had to remember the lights on the ceilings.
  • b. What would you change or differently if you could do this project again?
  • If I were to do this project again, I would add tile to the floor, and redo my my window on the left side.
  • c. Find a drawing on the wall that you think is successful. Describe it. Why is it successful?
  • Java's drawing is successful because she made sure to add tile, and her windows really look like they are distant according to the perspective she was drawing from.
  • d. What did you learn about one point perspective?
  • One point perspective all revolves around the orthagonal lines and vertical lines

  • a. I feel like I accomplished the making the window on the side wall and making the window panels. The window panels get bigger as you get closer to the ceiling. Additionally, my table goes to the vanishing point. I think my column looks very good because it looks 3D and is perfectly horizontal. 
  • b. If I could do this again, I would focus less on the little details and focus more on the bigger picture to complete more of an outline. I would also hope to take the paper outside of class to accomplish more of an actual representation of the art classroom. 
  • c. I think Sopheary Sok's is very successful because all of her items vanish into the vanishing point and the ceiling tiles are perfectly aligned on the ceiling. 
  • d. I learned that when you draw objects on a paper, they should all retract and lead to the vanishing point. This makes the pictures look more realistic. Whenever I have to draw something of the sort again, I will definitely make sure I have a vanishing point.

I feel like I got most of my drawing accomplished, although I feel like I slacked when I was drawing the side walls. If I could do this project again I would've used my time more wisely because I didn't get a lot done the first class, which would've been really helpful. I drawing I think was really successful was Ijustice's because he made it look like a realistic room, met all the requirements, and he included other objects in the room (not just a table and a chair). I learned that it's not a simple skill, and it takes a lot of time to perfect, or even just learn the basics.

I don't feel like I accomplished anything. I did an assignment similar to this one, so it wasn't that difficult. I forgot to put the tiles on the floor. If I never did this assignment I would feel like I accomplished making the back wall, ceiling, side and the tables and chairs. If I did this project again I wouldn't save it till the last moment. If I did this project again I would actually try. Honestly I don't think any of the drawing were successful, but if they were close to being successful then it'll be Kaamil's drawing. It fully accomplished making the ceiling, table, chairs, back wall, side wall, however it doesn't have the door on the side wall. I kinda of didn't learn anything of one perspective because I already learned this in 7th grade.

Lily Palmer Final Project

During the project, I did the ceiling & a bit of the side wall. If I could do it again, I'd spend equal amounts of time on everything. I think I spent too much time on the ceiling tiles, so I didn't get to the other parts. 
 
I really enjoyed Sopheary's. This ones walls look really even & it doesn't look like there are any eraser marks or anything. The table & chairs are perfect proportions. It's very clean with light lines. 

During this quarter, I learned how to make things look 3D. I also learned how to make some things look bigger than others from one point perspective. It was super interesting to learn about, since I didn't know how to do it before.

ARTIST statement:
In my art i tried to capture a very calm and happy vibe. I think I did just that with my Animal sketch because the dog was very calm. This was by far my favorite piece of art that I did this quarter. The reason behind this is i really enjoy animals, plus i thought that the vibe of my photo was energetic but also happy. Another piece of art that I very much enjoyed making was the basic shapes. This was very fun because you could see the shapes come together as you were doing the drawing. I ended up making a Calvin and Hobbes photo to go with my theme of calm and happy. The reason that this is calm is because it is just a cartoon for kids, which although has a violent scene still gives off a good vibe. For week 5 and 6 I learned how to correctly shade. This helped me in more than just this class because i now know how to shade for the rest of my classes and also when I want to draw in life. The shading skill was the most useful skill I learned this quarter I was also proud of my Self portrait because it was a good depiction of myself. It was hard to draw my eyes but I learned how to online.

​       This quarter I focused more on things I like, especially with drawing animals. The first project with abstract was more of a work that I research about. Self portrait was challenging because I do not usually draw people or their faces. Value assignment was fun because I used to do assignments like this before in middle school. Basic shapes and animal shapes helped me in general for drawing because I did not think of drawing shapes before I sketch what I wanted to work on. I wanted to focus more on things I am not good at and having these assignments helped a lot to challenge my art skills.

​Hello, I'm Klarissa Hudson and this is my work from my senior art class. In this class we have students who are "passing", "middles", and "college preps." Each section has different artworks to be completed based on their level. I'm in the "passing" group, so I have the smaller and easier assignments to complete. This quarter I had to:

1. Draw a self portrait of myself

2. Draw value

3. Draw with basic shapes

4. Draw an animal


For my first assignment, I worked to create a self portrait of myself. I chose a picture of myself from a photo shoot that I was in. For the second assignment, I drew the levels of shading from light to dark. I then used those levels to draw a ball and what it looked like. For the third assignment I drew a hamster using only circles, rectangles, and triangles. After that I redrew the hamster using the same shapes and just took out the extra lines and rounded out some of the areas. And for the fourth assignment I drew a red panda using shades to show the furs' texture and colors. Please enjoy and comment if you like; thank you for taking time to look at my work.

During this third quarter in Ms. Hull’s two day art class, everything has been excellent. In this quarter we had to make the following pieces; a self portrait, a value drawing, a basic shapes drawing, and an animal sketch.  All of the pieces were given 100% of my time and effort, which can clearly be seen through the work. I believe that this quarter has been my best yet. I loved making every single piece because I like variety. I also like trying new things, and this quarter was all about that. 

My favorite piece of art work was definitely the panda drawing I made. Personally for me, animals are one of my favorite things in the world. I love animals. My favorite animal is the panda. I think they’re adorable and loving. I believe giving it personality is something I struggled with. I wanted the panda to transmit the peace and loving environment he was in. I used darker shades to interpret that. It was very fun and the best drawing of a panda I have ever made!

I found the assignments this quarter to be challenging, but nevertheless interesting. This is my first time sketching an abstract piece. I made an mask with two sides. Inside the mask, you could see spiderwebs, checkerboards, shirt collars, neckties, and etc. My favorite painting this quarter is the self portrait. Comparing to the self portrait I did in the first quarter, it is much better. Others could actually tell that it is me! 

The value and animal shape assignments are very useful practices to create the animal drawing. I learned how to create three dimensional objects by creating illusions with shadows and shadings. The animal sketch (lion) is the best animal sketch that I ever did.

I improved a lot compare to the first two quarters. I started to take more of my time perfecting my drawings and art starts to became one of my prized hobbies.

At the beginning of the year, I set the goal for myself that I would challenge myself to create the best artwork that I possibly could. I certainly fulfilled that goal in the second quarter, and have continued to do so into the third quarter.

I have never been one to experiment with different types of art. Ever since I was a kid, if someone asked me to do art I’d pull out the basic pencil and paper and draw a pretty flower or a goofy picture or something like that. This quarter, however, I really stepped up and expanded my art horizons, especially with the India ink assignment. I’ve never done any sort of artwork like that but am extremely pleased with the way it turned out.


One of the things that I enjoyed most about this quarter was reviewing all the basics like shading and shapes. I think that most of the time as artists get older, they tend to forget about the things that they learned about in first grade: circles, rectangles, triangles, etc. The basic shape assignment where we turned shapes into animals was so much fun because it’s something that I’ve never thought of before and made my animal drawings so much better!


Overall, I am extremely pleased with my performance this quarter and I can’t wait to finish my senior year strong with some awesome art.

La Familia Comico de Luis Manuel


Hola, entrevisrará Luis Manuel. Luis Manuel es catorce años. Para ser más específicos al noreste. El vive en puerto rico pero vive en filadelfia desde la edad de cinco. Ama filadelfia. Luis Manuel un noveno grado que atende El Science Leadership Academy. Su asesor es Señora Menasion. Está en la corriente azul.  La mayona de sus amigos están en corriente naranja. Luis Manuel es moreno, los ojos cafe,  Luis Manuel clase de favorita es el ingles. Su color favorito es el negro. Luis Manuel es corto y muy inteligente. También  es una muy divertida persona y nunca es grave. Su color de favorito es el azul, rojo, y gris. Está obsesionado con los coches. Para ser espicifica que ama el corvette de Chevrolet. Su sueño es a cada tipo de coche.  Es de ascendencia puerto rican. Puerto rico ha visitado varias veces en el pasado. Disfruta enormemente de estas vistas. Durante estos viajes que se reúne con familia lejana y alcanza con ellos.


Es el único hijo de la familia. Vive con ambos padres. Sus padres parecen gente normal. La familia de Luis Manuel es muy muy grande.  Les gusta ven a la tele, limpian, y a la iglesia. Luis Manuel tiene una mascota llamada perro cha cha y una tortuga llamada Flamer. La familia de Luis Manuel es de ascendencia puertorriqueño. Son muy fluidamente hablando español y hablan en casa. Su casa tiene dos pisos y es grande. Hay tres dormitorios y tres baños. Limpian la casa cada fin de semana. Su mamá y su papá cocina para la familia. Su familia le gusta descansar. Luis Manuel ama a todos en su familia. No tiene ningún favoritos pero su favorito en su familia es todo el mundo.

Luis Manuel le gusta pasar tiempo con su familia y hacer cosas juntos como una familia.

Tigidankay también conocido como TK es un estudiante de primer año noveno grado en la Academia de Liderazgo de la Ciencia, y ella está en la mejor corriente, naranja. Ella es una persona muy interesante, que es muy divertido. Todo el mundo le encanta estar cerca de ella. TK es el mayor de tres hijos. Ella tiene dos hermanos gemelos más jóvenes que están cada diez años. Ella vive con tanto su mamá y papá, y su abuela solía residir con ellos. Conocimientos tradicionales proviene de una familia muy grande que se puede encontrar tanto en Sierra Leona y Filadelfia. Ella tiene un montón de tías, tíos y primos, que se refiere a por qué ella es tan estrecha con todos ellos. En cuanto a lo que ella hace por diversión, número uno lo es para pasar el rato con sus amigos. Porque yo soy uno de sus amigos, sé que a ella le gusta estar rodeado de gente y romper un montón de chistes muy cursi. Pero, su cosa favorita absoluta es comer los alimentos. CT le encanta la comida más que nadie que he conocido en mi vida. Ella va a comer cualquier cosa. Es bastante sorprendente. Si usted no sabe que vive en el suroeste de Filadelfia, y fue recientemente a punto de mudarse a una nueva casa. Uno con una piscina. La vida es buena para los conocimientos tradicionales. Ella disfruta pasar tiempo con su familia, y por lo que he oído que eres muy gracioso. Sus padres son extremadamente sin siquiera tratar de ser. Son un motín. Otra cosa que se debe saber acerca de los conocimientos tradicionales es que tanto ella como su familia en la educación de valores de un nivel muy alto. Cada desde que conocí a los conocimientos tradicionales que habían sido la persona más inteligente que he conocido. Pocas veces he visto nunca a conseguir cualquier cosa menos un a. Cómo? porque ella sabe todo acerca de todo. Para envolver los conocimientos tradicionales, ella está orientado a la familia super divertido educado joven de Filadelfia que es disfrutado por todo el mundo a su alrededor.

La Familia de Dillon: Sydnye y Emma

Dillon Hershey asiste a Science Leadership Academy, ella es un estudiante de tercer año. La tutor de Dillon fue Señorita Manuel hasta el añó terce. La tutor de Dillon es ahora Ms.Sessa, la professora de biochemica. Ella estaba en corriente de naranja en la año primero. En la año segundo ella fue en la corriente de plata y en la año tercer ella tiene en el corriente de fuego.

Antes de SLA Dillon asiste Independence Charter School para tres años. Antes de Independence Charter School asiste Greenfield para quatro meses. Antes de Greenfield asiste Samuel Powel elementary. El jardin infantil y primer grado asiste Watermelon Elementary en Virginia y  los grados segundo y tercera asiste Horace Mann Elementary en Iowa. En la clase de B Dillon enseña un SAT de la clase de Español. El clase favorito de Dillon tiene la clase de ingles, y en el año primero tiene español uno.

Dillon tiene una hermana menor, Eden, ella tiene once años.  Ella vive con su mamá, hermana menor, padre, un gato, y un perro en Filadelfia. Dillon tiene diecisiete años. Su familia encanta juega juegos de mesa. Les gustas ven béisbol con familia extendida, tal como su tias, tios, primos y abuelos. Dillon ha sido juega  softbol que ella cinco años y juega para diez años. La madre de Dillon es un pastor y su padre es escritor de béisbol de fantasía. Ella practica softbol para SLA. Dillon juega breva parada, segundo base, y primero base. La abuela de Dillion tiene un abanico de Philadelphia Phillies y ver los juegos. Los primos son fánaticos de béisbol, y la familia todo. El padre de Dillon es la razon ella juega sofbol. Dillon cuida su hermana.  Dillon tiene un receptor. La familia de Dillon es pequeña sino que muy divertida.

​Kadija`s Artist Statement:
Looking at my artwork and the way I work, I always want to make sure that I tell a story. I make sure that everything that I do, I stay true to myself. Throughout the 3rd marking period, I have had some trials and tribulations. One of which was with my self portrait using ink. I accidentally let the portrait sit around in the room without making sure it was secure, and then someone ripped it unfortunately.
 At first I thought that I had to start over, but then I thought about how this could tell a story, and so I taped it up, and created artwork. I knew that without that rip it would`t be the same. That is how I wanted my artwokr to be, different and something that I knew could tell a story.
I liked this quarter a lot, because I think that I really showed how I could be creative and also go out my comfort zone. Last trimester, I think that I had not gone out my comfort zone and stayed very safe. I think this quarter I could really show off my art skills.

Se llama William “Little Bill” Glover. Su familia es muy grande. Su papá es Big Bill. Su mamá es Brenda Glover. Su hermano mayor es Bobby Glover. Su hermana mayor is April Glover. April the Great es su bisabuela. Jamal Glover es su primo.

Little Bill es muy imaginativo y bastante creativo. Little Bill gustar ir a la escuela y le gusta para vo el béisbol en la televisión. Bobby disfruta leyendo muchos libros diferente. Bobby también le gusta tocar el violín. Big Bill le gusta escuchar música. Su tipo favorito de música es jazz.

Bill tiene un montón de amigos que se va de aventuras con. Tiene un elefante de juguete llamado elefante que sirve como su mejor amigo. Decía que su mejor amigo que tiene es llamado Kiku Wong que es asiatico. Su primo que tiene diversión con nombre es fucsia Glover. ¿Quién tiene padre es hermano de billetes grandes. Tiene un amigo llamado a Monty quien tiene parálisis cerebral, pero que no lo lento de divertirse con Little Bill y sus otros amigos. También tiene una gran cantidad de muchos grandes amigos en el espectáculo oscilan entre los niños de su edad a los bebés y adultos.

En Menada, Little Bill tiene muchos amigos diferentes de todas las edades, un gran surtido de familia que tiene aventuras con. Y es muy sociable.

This quarter was a very interesting quarter because I learn a lot about the basics and history of art. Even more so than other quarters I felt like I really expanded my knowledge and experience. I enjoyed the learning of history and also the experience with basic techniques. I think that this helped me have a lot more to draw from when I am doing more complex and challenging art. The techniques I used and learned here are the essentials of art so most of my work this quarter was geared towards learning as much as I could about these essentials.

La familia de la Kenny Nguyen



Estoy es Kenny Nguyen. Su es a niño. Sus diecisiete años, casi viejo...jajaja. Kenny es bajo, inteligente, deportistas. Él es asiático. Su encanta pasa un rata con amigos. Su muchos amigos. Kenny ir la escuela y es una de la tercera edad. Su es en doce grado. Él asistiera academia de liderazgo ciencia (Science Leadership Academy). Su encanta ver películas mantiene ocupado. Kenny no le gusta limpia, de hecho su odia a limpia. Actualmente, él no es unirse cualquier deporte. Pero su es muy la deportista. Él asiste escuela aprende. Él está centrado en la universidad cosas. Su es muy ocupado porque de su futuro.

Kenny amar su familia. Su familia vivo en Filadelfia. Kenny familia es pequeno. Hay 3 personas en su casa y muchas todo personas en su familia. Su tiene un mayor hermano y un la cuñada. Él tiene una madrastra o padrastro. Su familia vivo en Filadelfia, pero viene de Vietnam. Durante ocasión especial él familia ir al cine y ir un restaurante. Ellos muy disfrutan comen. Ellos es mucho divertido. Él tiene siete tías y ocho tíos. Su muchos sobrinos. También, él tiene seis primos y tres primas. Su muchos en todo famila y pequeño en su familia. Su familia es inteligente, extraña, bobo, y chevere. Sus familia es también asiático.


Algunas veces, él sale maneja con familia y amigos. Su encanta escuchara música y hace eso esta ocupado. Su mucho encanta ir al cine porque es muy interesante. Su encanta starbucks muchísimo. Él ir hay un montón. Su realmente encanta el café. Kenny favorita comida en Starbucks es todo. Su encanta todo porque eso muy delicioso. Además, él hace muchos cosas está ocupado tal que como escuela, la univerdante, familia y Starbucks.

Todos los días, yo dormido mucho. Mi favorita. Cuando tengo tiempo libre, yo bailo. A veces asiste la escuela. No me gusta escuela, pero no imprtante. Nunca correr, sin embargo. No posible para mi.
