I have actually learned where my internet came from. I knew it wasn't magic but I never sat and thought about how my ISP hooked a wire up and I have access to the internet. I did have an OMG moment because it makes sense now. I would tell people to maybe ask questions to the person from your ISP about how placing that cord and router in their home gets them access to the web.

1.) I have Xfinity Comcast and it works pretty fast. We ( as my family)  use it for 3 phones, 2 laptops, and 1 printer.

2.) I learned that the internet does not come out of nowhere and that it has a very complicated process. What i learned for Lol Omg is that you can not control the internet.

3.) I would tell people who are not informed with the internet to know the rules to break the rules. I would also tell them to stop posting everything on the internet

A. The things that are connected to the WI-FI 4 phones, 2 Tablets, and 1 ps4
B. I learn that there is a white line in the back that goes out the house. i thought that it was like a phone that made it work.
C. That having a NetWork in your house is hard to get it in side and that there is line under the water to get the text around the world.

1. LAN (Local Area Network) is the network that all of your devices are connected to. Some of these devices may be your phone, your computer, or a gaming console.

2. Something that I learned about a home network is that at some point, it is connected to a wire that runs across the bottom of the ocean. I find that completely surreal and cool.

3. One thing that I would tell someone about a home network is all about bandwidth. If you have many devices on one network, it will be slow and laggy.

a. The devices connected to my network are the following: iphone 6,iphone 6, iphone 6. xbox one, and my custom gaming pc.
b. The only thing that I've actually learned would be that data was so cheap, because  I've had an understanding of how networks work for a few years.
c. It's important to monitor how many devices are on your network, because it's possible there are uninvited guests slowing down your speeds.

1. My local network starts with the cloud. That sends wifi to my house. Verizon, my internet service provider, is the one giving me my internet. That goes into my router, which is also a modem. The wire connecting to my router is a coaxial cable. The devices connected to my wifi are, 5 phones, 4 computers, 2, i-pads, and 2 televisions.

2. So far, I have learned a lot about networks. I learned that the cloud is a real thing. It is a large computer stored in a building. ALso, I learned that there are many different cables that could connect into to your router. Before, I thought there was only one. I did not know what a modem was. I learned that sometimes a modem and router can be a combination. I am glad I learned about these things. Now I can understand the thing that I use everyday much better.

3. If other people wanted to know about home networks, I would tell them that in your house, you need a router in your house in order to connect to wifi. Also, you need a modem. I would tell them about the different kinds of cables and ISP's. Hopefully I will be able to help anyone in need.

A) Fios is my local area network that is connected to my house by a coaxial cable. I have 3 tv's, 3 laptops, 2 phones, wii, xbox, ipad, and a nintendo. All of these devices are connected to my wifi wireless.
B) I learned that wifi is more complicated than it seems. One OMG moment I had was when I learned that WIFI is only radio signals.
C) I would tell other people to be grateful that their parents are paying for WIFI. WIFI is more expensive than it seems to us kids, but there are some parents who struggle with paying for it.

The devices on my Local Area Network is a Wii U, 3 phones,I pod, Amazon Alexa, 6 laptops, and an Apple tv. I thought it  was cool how wifi travels. It goes from towers, and travels to your home. If I could tell people about having a home network, I would  tell them that your network brings a cable in to your home. That cable connects to your router which brings wifi to your home.

The devices on my internet connection are 3 Samsung phones, 2 Apple iPhones, 1 Macbook Air, 2 desktops and 3 printers. I learned more about the connections between the cables and the wifi tower. I would tell other people that that ISP is basically your internet service provider and that your wifi is connected through a wifi tower.

A).I have a computer, 2 smart tvs, a wii, 5phones a tablet and a printer connected to the wifi either wired or wireless.
B). I learned that anything posted on the internet never gets deleted. It is saved somewhere in the world in a data base. I've also learned about how in depth those wifi terms of agreements mean. How they prohibit certain websites and allow superiors to supervise someones internet browsing.
C). People would need to know that wifi goes downwards so if you place your router at the highest point of the house, you get better signal. They would also need to know that there is a cable that enters your house that connects to your router, in my case an ethernet cable.

A)
Wireless Devices
-Most of the wireless devices are either iPhones or Laptops. Everyone in my family owns an iPhone and a computer (but the computer is mainly used just for work purposes). We also have printers hooked up to the internet as well as a xbox and a TV.
Wired Devices
-The wired devices that are connected to my network are, TVs and Desktop computers.
B)
I had no idea that my router connected to all of my electronic devices, even my wireless ones. It was interesting to learn about what kind of cable we had (coaxile), what it looked like, and what it connected to.
C)
I would tell them that they need to know what kind of cable they have. If they don't know, I would tell them to check and see because if they have a strong cable then they won't necessarily have any major issues with their home network.

  a)  We have an old desktop computer that we rarely use, and two mac desktops that my dad uses to edit videos for work. We also have a landline phone that we give the number to  cashiers when they ask for our number so that our cell phones won't get spammed in phone calls. We have a television that we watch sports on and our TV is connected to a Wii, and XBOX, and Cable. We have three IPads that my younger sister uses for entertainment and my dad uses for work. We have four cell phones for my mom, dad, older sister, and me. Everyone in my family that has a phone besides my mom, has unlimited data for our phones. We also have 5 laptops. Two of them are me and my sisters school laptops, one is my mom's laptop, and the other two are my dad's laptops.

   b) I had an OMG moment when I realized how much technology we have in our house. I learned that home networking is sort of split up into two categories; wireless and wired.

   c) I would tell other people that have an ISP/ Home Network that having a router/ modem will help you to get things done a lot faster connected to the internet.

Reflection
1. The devices connected to my home network is my mom's phone, dad's phone, my phone and my little brothers phone. Also are two iPads, my brother's Wii U, Echo Alexa, and my dad's Macbook.
2. I learned about how my internet gets into my home, which is through a phone wire. Also, I never knew our internet providers were Comcast.
3. I would tell people that they need to educate themselves on their home networks because their network providers could be changing their speed or even charging them more money without them even knowing.

1.  explain your L.A.N. Local Area Network - all the devices on your internet connection.

On my local area network for my home, we have 3 cellphones, Mine, my mom's and my dad's (plus my sister when she is home from college). We have 2 televisions, the one in the living room and the one in my parent's room. Along with that we have 4 computers, my mom's laptop, my dad's laptop, my chromebook and a desktop.

2. reflect on what you learned about networks, did you have an OMG moment that you learned something new and interesting? if not, write about what you learned.

The thing that I learned that really surprised me was when we learned that the cloud wasn't just an abstract thing. I always knew it was real but I never really comprehended the fact that it was a real, physical thing.

 3. what would you tell other people that they need to know about having an ISP/Home network?

One thing I would tell others about having their own home network is that the internet is a real physical thing, and that everything you see or do is concrete and will really live forever.

a. My family local area network is xfinity. All of my devices connect to this L.A.N.
b. I am really surprised that we don't connect to a wireless "cloud" meaning our networks travels in the air.
c. I would tell them that there is no such thing as an actual cloud because it's important to understand where everything starts from.
